We called around to all the tailors in the valley, but Joseph gave us the best price over the phone. When we got there, he had my wife put on each pair of pants. She had three. It took Joseph all of 30 seconds to mark each pair of pants. We left them there, paid, and we got them all back the same day. It cost $15 per pair of pants. I had initially planned to stop by Los Callejones in LA, but I am glad I found this place so close to my house. The dress was dragging so much that not even 6 inch heals would have helped (and I was wearing less than half of that because this girl can't handle high heels and does not want to fracture another ankle, LOL!). Anyway, he tailored my bridesmaid dress in less than 2 hours--and I didn't even have an appointment! He was super friendly and attentive, and the price he charged me was less than what I expected for what he did. I will definitely consider him again in the future. Absolutely horrendous, went in for dry cleaning, tailoring job for some pants, and to fix a broken chain on my wife's dress. Dry cleaning still wasn't done after 3 days and when my wife got her dress back, they simply tore off the shorter broken half of the chain on her dress and did a hack job sewing the end of the chain back to the dress. $60 down the drain. I bought a dress online from Nordstrom since they no longer carry a big selection in the stores and since gowns are now made for giants, I needed to have it hemmed. Nordstrom's quoted me $60 and said it would take 2 weeks. The Gala is at the end of the month and I wasn't willing to risk it not being ready and I also didn't feel the price was reasonable. So, I decided to check local tailors and found "Joseph Tailor" not far from my house. Located just off Van Nuys Blvd across from the court house and Police Station, there was plenty of street parking and Diego the owner/tailor was so sweet. He had my dress ready in a few days and charged me half of what Nordstrom quoted. I returned a second time with a pair of pants that I could have altered myself but had him do them instead. He charged me $15. After I picked them up and tried them on at home I noticed that he did not remove the excess material. He just sewed them leaving a 1/2" trim that made my pants looks bulky on the outer thigh. I had to cut off the excess and finish it off. read more

Wow, I called Joseph in an emergency situation where I my wife needed a suit and jacket hemmed and altered for a job interview She had the next day. When I called at 330pm and told him of my situation, he told me to come on by and that he would take care of me. Sure enough, my wife's slacks and jacket sleeves were tailored to fit!
