I took my dress there last week for alterations. Before they started, I specifically asked multiple…read moretimes if they were able to properly alter this particular gown because of its design and construction. They repeatedly reassured me that they could and that there would be no issue. Based on those assurances, I trusted them with my dress. Unfortunately, they cut the dress crooked. I didn't notice until I wore it to my event, so I ended up wearing my dress crooked because of their alteration. I went back the very next day to show them the issue and ask for a refund. They told me they would fix the dress and that when I came back to pick it up, they would also give me a refund. When I returned, the dress was STILL crooked and had not been properly fixed. They also refused to give me the refund I was promised. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I questioned why the dress was crooked, they started saying it was because of the dress itself. If they knew the design of the dress made it difficult to alter, they should have told me that BEFORE altering it. Instead, I asked them multiple times if they could do it, and they reassured me that they could. At that point, I asked them to compensate me for the price of the dress because their alteration had damaged it to the point where I could no longer wear it. I went back and forth with them countless times for over a week trying to get a resolution. I spoke with Joshua, one of the managers. Mario was the person who performed the alteration, but I did not personally speak with him. According to their "store policy," if they paid me the full price of the dress, they would get to keep the dress. I found this policy completely unreasonable, especially when the damage was caused during their alteration. I told them they needed to do something to make this right because I should not have to lose both my dress and my money because of an alteration they assured me they could do. In the end, they only paid me 60% of the price of my dress and returned the dress to me. After going through all of this, I was extremely disappointed with how they handled the situation. I had no problems with Steamers Cleaners before this, but their customer service throughout this entire situation was HORRIBLE. The biggest issue for me was not just that the alteration went wrong, but that they initially reassured me they could do the alteration, then blamed the dress when something went wrong, and made me fight for over a week to get any kind of resolution. Their promises mean very little once something goes wrong, and unfortunately, I learned that the hard way.

I live on Dickens, just down the street from Mr. Dryclean and originally started going there because it was walking distance from my house. Convenience is important but over the last ten years i have continued to go there and make them my only choice for dry cleaning because of their exceptional and friendly customer service, efficiency (clothing items are always ready for pickup when they promise) and excellent results. My shirts and pants are always perfectly clean. Prices are reasonable too. I have made Mr. Dryclean my go to place for these services for many reasons. If I need my shirts dry cleaned or laundered on the same day, they kindly provide that rush service! Their rates are reasonable and all the employees are kind and friendly and talk to their regular customers like old friends...They are the best and most consistently reliable dry cleaners i have gone to in all my years living in Los Angeles! The crew at Mr. Dryclean are highly experienced, very warm and friendly and will try to accommodate any request. Their prices are very reasonable which was one of the reasons we switched from a much larger cleaners who charged almost twice the rates. The also have an in-house seamstress who does excellent alterations. Give these folks a try and you will likely be back. read more

My family has been using Mr Dryclean for as long as we've lived in the neighborhood: almost 13 years. We highly recommend their services: the staff is friendly and helpful, the dry cleaning is always on time and perfectly done. They always pay attention to making sure we retrieve items accidentally handed in with our clothing, like an overlooked pair of cuff links or a broach left on a shirt. Aside from the friendly service, the cleaning is always done well and is ready whenever you need it at a good price. I've also had two very expensive items altered here and have not regretted my decision as they did an amazing job. The garments look like I bought them that way and the cost was more than reasonable. read more
