I found Steph through a good friend of mine who has been her client for a while now. I first started going to Steph for special events but loved her work so much I became a regular. She was so sweet from the beginning and very welcoming. She makes sure you feel pampered the entire time she's meticulously applying your lashes. Plus NO ONE can beat her prices $! My lashes usually last me 3-4 weeks without having to get a fill (do not recommend waiting that long but that tells you how good she is!!) I'm so happy I did because she's super friendly and will go over lash styles/ aftercare instructions. My volume set take about two hours but I usually fall asleep halfway through... I love Stephanie!! I had a really hard time finding a lash technician i trusted. I had previously had my lashes done once by somebody else and I did not like it. Stephanie made me feel very comfortable the minute I walked in. She guided me through every step, she explained the different lengths of lashes and after care instructions. She made feel very comfortable. I became a regular! She does have a fee for under 24 hour cancellation, but she texted me and worked with me. She's great at communicating if she's running late or she's running behind schedule. I had to bring my youngest son with me at some point, of course I brought him stuff to entertain him but she was great with him and had no problem with that. I recommend her! I had a terrible experience with Stephanie during and after the appointment. I got the volume lash set. The full lash extensions barely lasted a week and before the second week ended, I didn't have any extensions left. I had so much fallout even though I followed all the aftercare steps. Although her pricing is unbeatable, I'd rather pay more for quality extensions that last. Steph was also incredibly rude and lacked professionalism. Here are the examples: 1. Within the first few minutes, she asked me what I was (ethnicity). Okay, I get it. We're both Asian so you wanna know my background. I didn't really mind this one that much, but it's something you usually ask if you see something in common, or a little after you are more comfortable with the person. 2. As we started talking more, she asked how old I was. I told her and she goes "oh... I thought you were a lot older..." Also not something someone wants to hear, especially in the tone she said it in. 3. She asked me where I got married, so when I told her the city, she goes "really? What's out there...? I don't even think of anything when I think of that place." Also very rude. I don't have to explain myself to her but after I told her about the space she seemed more "reassured" that I didn't get married in the middle of nowhere. 4. While she was checking the lashes from another angle, she goes, "GIRL! Your hair is SO dry. It's like... straw!!!" k, girl, DEFINITELY did not ask you for your opinion. Then she asks me if I've heard of Olaplex, which I told her I have and use at home and she proceeds to tell me that I should use it. That really pissed me off. I am paying you for a service. We are not friends and I definitely did not ask you for your opinion. 5. Apparently, she's Venmo or cash only. I don't have Venmo (by choice) and I didn't bring cash. I tell her I could stop by Wells Fargo which is a few blocks away and she tells me that's "too far". She then tries to explain to me what Venmo is, which felt like another blow because I am not that old to not know what it is. I never asked her to explain that to me. I end up paying her boyfriend through PayPal after she gave me a hard time because she wanted to go home before her next client who was coming soon. (I'm sorry to inconvenience you while I try to pay you...) PayPal was another ordeal because she didn't believe that you could take a picture with your phone camera of a QR code to link it to a website or app, so she basically laughed at me in a very condescending way. Then I showed her and it worked LOL... I was really hopeful with all the great reviews that I would have the same experience. I was tempted to go back again because her prices are so low, but didn't want to endure her complete lack of professionalism and customer service. Before we even got started on anything she pointed out to a old scar on my eye and proceeded to ask what happened...you don't point out things like that and it's not your business as a lash tech, just be courteous and do your job. Next, after all my lashes were done she proceeded to say "Wow, they make such a HUGE difference on you" in the most condescending tone. Well no shit if people are paying $100 and up for your service it should make a difference? Stephanie did great on my volume set! She took her time and explained to me the process of care. I came from another lash spot that wasn't up to the standards I looking for. Her style of lashes are a lot different than those thick, hard, sometimes hurtful lashes that other places use. She does do a softer look to the eye but will do her best to accommodate your diva self!
