5 stars! Over a decade later, I still come to Beauty Forever, which offers multiple services and is highly recommended. I have been seeing Jo Jo and Maggie over the years to do my eyelash extensions. Since then, her business has grown and now she offers various services from long relaxing facials, massages, and nails. What is even better is that not only the quality of work is great, but her prices are super reasonable too. They are by appointment only, no walk-ins, so you can easily call, text or book on Booksy. When I am there, I don't feel rushed, I always feel consistently pampered. Everyone is very sweet too, excellent customer service. Often, she offers specials and deals. At my most recent service, I not only got lash extensions refills but I also got a manicure at the same time. Taking care of two services at the same time was so time-saving and much appreciated! My wedding is around the corner and I needed my lashes done as soon as possible, since I don't know how to put on false lashes... Thankfully I was recommended to check this location out, since I live in Downtown San Leandro area and they told me to request for Maggie. I called in and asked if there were last minute appointments this week, and luckily Maggie was able to book me for Friday @ 4:30PM. Parking was easy, since there is a plaza right across! I came in 15 minutes early, and Maggie was more than happy to take me in early! The vibe at this location was very therapeutic and comfy. All the estheticians there have their own private rooms with calming music and clean working station. I love how friendly, patient, and calm hands that Maggie has; she made me feel really comfortable when getting my lashes done. Unsatisfying and unprofessional services. I had my lashes done by Anna for the first time and definitely the last. Within four days, I noticed more than a dozen of lashes had fallen out, sometimes more than five at once when I washed my face normally. Most of the fallen lashes were from my right eye, and my natural lashes were intact, indicating poor glue application and a lack of skill. The lash tech offered to fix it for free, but she insisted on scheduling a time I had already told her I was unavailable--on Christmas Eve, no less. I'd recommend anyone to RUN unless you want to spend money on a disappointing experience and waste a lot of time and energy. read more

I have been Maggie's client once a month for 20 years since she started her business in Oakland years ago. Per my husband's idea, I followed her from Oakland to San Leandro even my husband has to drive much farther to get to her new shop (he used to wait for me by reading or sleeping in the car in the parking space there for 2 hours). If you want eyelash extensions, you should come here! I expressed it was my first time getting it done, and they made sure to make me feel comfortable the entire process. Additionally, I could tell that they have a lot of experience with eyelash extensions because once they saw my lashes, they already had an idea of what would work best with my lash length and eye shape. I'm also very happy that my lashes look more on the natural side (personal preference), but I also know if you're looking for a more dramatic look they can do that too. After doing research and reading tons of reviews about lash extensions ended up contacting Maggie for her services. She is sweet and very professional. She responded by text and called and answered any questions I had. She also confirm the appt the day before. The place is small hole in the wall and theres street parking if your lucky. However there is a parking lot in the back. About a two minute walk to the business. The door was locked I think for security purposes which is good and safe for clients and employees. There was Maggie and another worker and they can be with clients at the same time and there could be no one at the front desk. I waited about 10 minutes while Maggie was finishing up her lunch and before we started she asked if I needed to use the restroom since I am pregnant. So sweet of her! She told me it would take about 1.5 hour for the extensions but we were done within 50 minutes. She was very gentle and fast and its pretty relaxing. I am not sure if its before I have asian eyes so less lashes were needed. Ill have to update this review in a couple weeks to see how they hold up but I barely feel or notice them there. I have pretty sensitive skin and so far no reactions or gunk on the lids from the glue. I did knock off one star because her other employee kept walking in and out of our room during my session looking for lashes for the other client and speaking to Maggie in their language which I dont mind but the session was interrupted about three times so it just messed up the relaxation juju and quietness. They look natural and have more volume which is good and I dont look like I have caterpillars on my eyelids. It was $98 for the new clients and she gave me a care card with pricing for fills. I didnt want to make a fill appointment since I am due in 2 weeks and didnt want to commit. Even if you come back for a new set not as a new client its still cheaper than other places. I dont think its worth $200 plus for lash extensions that are semi permanent. Its an expensive investment and I do it just for special occasions but I dont think I can keep doing it as a routine. I rather get mani/pedis! Overall try out Maggie for lash extensions you wont be disappointed. read more

I had lash extensions from this salon for almost 2 years consistently (then I took a break for about 4 months) but I plan to get them again! I've been to other salons and this has by far been my favorite, very clean and professional. I usually get them done by Maggie but sometimes Emily based on availability and they are both excellent. I prefer to have my lashes more natural looking and they do the best job. When I decided to take a break, they took off my lashes so gently, I didn't lose any of my real lashes in the process. The younger of the two ladies started to do my eye lash extensions,1 eye but had owner finish because she used too much glue and half of lashes were stuck together. Next person didnt try to fix or notify me, she just did the other eye. When finished, didnt give mirror, just walked out and got on the phone. She knew my lashes were completely different, being that one eye had mostly lashes stuck together. Cant really fix that even though tried. smh, $140 later.
