I am so glad that Beauty Maxx can reopen again! Kelly is a godsend for my face especially now that we all have to wear masks. First of all, I am not a facial person - I have never taken care of my skin other than to wash it daily and maybe wear sunscreen once in a while. I know, I'm bad. But I'm a healthcare professional and having to wear masks for 8 hours a day started to wreak havoc on my skin (ie breakouts, black heads, and just feeling gross). I was telling my friend about this and she recommended that I see Kelly, whom she has been seeing for 7 years and my friend's skins is immaculate (she doesn't look a day over 25 and I know she is older than that!). On the day of my consult, I walked into Beauty Maxx and was impressed with how clean and sanitized it was. Kelly immediately made me sit down, took my temperature, sprayed the sole of my shoes with alcohol, and sanitized my hands. She wore double masks throughout our session too. She then examined my face in natural light and immediately saw problems, pointing them out along that way. First thing she asked was when my last facial was. The treatment room was very clean with new towels and sanitized instruments. So I felt safe having my facial, which was amazing!! My last facial was at a really well-known spa and their facial was nothing compared to Kelly's! Okay the extractions were and still are painful but they work! My skin has not broken out since seeing her and my laugh lines are actually less deep (she noted that, if my skin is dirty, the wrinkles will show up more - and boy was she right!). So yes I am now a convert for facials thanks to Kelly and am glad that she can help me to finally care for my skin! Clean facility with clean linens and Kelly only sees 2 clients a day in order to allow for time to sanitize between clients. Kelly is really nice but it's been over a month since my facial with her and I have scarring from her acne treatment. I think she uses a pin to pop the pimples, then uses this stick with a loop and pushes really hard to get the gunk out.
