I've known for years that I have wanted to hire Sarah to do the photography for my wedding--when I…read morefirst saw her work, I instantly fell in love with her style. By her own admission, Sarah works much more in a photojournalistic style; she focuses on telling a story through her photos, capturing moments and images that are both evocative and beautiful. I also appreciated that her portfolio was more muted and subtle with light and color. I personally find that many photographers are much too bright, even over-exposed, and I didn't want to have to worry about that. Going into the wedding planning, I knew that photography was going to be the largest single thing my wife and I were going to spend money on, so our expectations were high. Despite those high expectations, Sarah still absolutely blew us away! She was professional, communicative, and extremely easy to work with. Going in, Sarah was clear to ask us questions and get clarification for what we wanted from her. Even though she was travelling from doing a wedding the day before in another state, she was punctual, timely, and ready to go. She was perfectly unobtrusive during all the key moments of the day, yet managed to capture them beautifully. She took requests with grace, and even prompted us for photos during the reception that we were exceedingly grateful to have. She took to heart the requests we had made prior to the wedding and followed through with them with precision and care. More than anything else, I was extremely impressed with her vision and direction. Her experience spoke volumes--she was able to guide my wife and I with clarity and directness, while never pushing us or making us feel rushed. Consequently, we have an absolute abundance of really unique photos in a variety of backdrops and settings, all displaying us in our day of bliss. And with the whirlwind that is the wedding day, it has given us so much joy to look through them all again and relive all those moments. I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough!

Book her - just do it. Don't waste your time interviewing a dozen photographers (there are…read morethousands anyway). Just book her, become best friends, and enjoy the most beautiful wedding photos ever, just like we did! We found Victoria and Hunter (V+H) because they had shot my brother's best friend's wedding earlier this year. Obviously, the first thing we did was reviewed her online galleries. There's really no point to me reviewing this part because anyone with eyeballs can see that she takes amazing, top-notch, 100%, take-my-breath-away pictures. After trading a few wonderful emails, we "met" V+H over Skype (we live 90 minutes apart, which is very sad). The connection was instant and after an hour, we were BFFs. My wife and I knew we wanted a personal connection with our vendors, especially with our photographers. With V+H we got that and so much more! They are some of the friendliest, easy-going, personable, and fun people we've ever met. Their passion for their craft really shines through. We knew before we even signed the contract that V+H were exactly what we were looking for. Our engagement shoot (included in the package) was a blast - we loved meeting Victoria in person and getting to explore Annapolis. We brought our son (aka Chase, our dog) along because he's quite handsome and very photogenic. Victoria, unbeknownst to us, had already arranged to have a friend join us to babysit him while he wasn't involved in the shots. What a pro! We were thrilled to see them on our wedding day, and it was exactly what we expected. V+H provided the perfect balance of "telling us what to do" (which we told them to do) and letting us call the shots. To start, Hunter met with the fellas and Victoria met with the ladies for detail shots. Later, they arranged some beautiful shots for the family and the bridal party and captured our reception perfectly. We were so sad when they had to leave at the end of the night. Our pictures are amazing and we could not be happier. Thank you V+H!

Neither of us like being photographed much but from our engagement shoot to day of, working with her was a breeze and FUN. Our photos, both engagement and wedding day will be ones we cherish forever and I would recommend her to anyone.

Barely any pictures of bride and groom first dance. Pictures at the alter were strictly from one side and the bride's face is not visible. Unfortunately the academy does not have many photographers on their list to chose from. Did mention to the photographer and said that it should have been expressed. I've known several brides that have gotten married at the Naval Academy and each one has raved about his work! He was incredibly helpful in the planning, extremely efficient in keeping us on schedule that day and coordinating our massive family! Everything ran like a well oiled machine! And my husband, who is not a fan of being in front of the camera, even enjoyed working with him. One of our guests was a professional wedding photographer and has commented that usually when she goes to weddings and sees the pictures after she always finds things that she would have done differently, but in her professional opinion she said Mark did everything the way she would have and was incredibly impressed. Mark and his team were able to capture our day just perfectly. Each and every one of our photos are fantastic. So much so that we are having a hard time narrowing down photos to include in our album! We just love them all! If you're looking for a wedding photographer that is fun to work with and will capture your day just perfectly you should definitely hire Hamilton!

Not only does she deliver incredible finished photos, but she gives you an intensive photograph session. In my case she went the extra mile to work with my baby, pausing when she needed a bottle or diaper break without complaint. She made my family feel very welcome and comfortable. She posed us very naturally, giving us the perfect guidance to achieve magical shots. The finished image is very soft, organic and natural; not a stuffy, staged photo by any means. Our package included the photo session, retouching of all the images, and unlimited access to all of the final images in a digital gallery. Follow up service was phenomenal. Sarah didn't just drop off the face of the planet after the session; she messaged me with preview images, let me know when she posted to Facebook, and emailed me when the gallery was ready. Customer service all around was phenomenal! Take a look at some of her photos, and her work speaks for itself. The images are every bit as sensitive, mindful, and professional as Sarah herself.

The moment that just stunned me on our wedding day was when Christa pulled up the creative deck I had sent her months prior and showed a photo I had on it that represented the "sentiment" I wanted to capture from that night. She said she wanted to recreate that photo and had brought special lighting and planned the moment just to make it happen. I felt so heard by Christa in the moment, and that exact photo is the wallpaper on my phone today. Christa Rae is one of the approved vendors for the Naval Academy, and she nailed keeping us on pace for that tight schedule, while still keeping the afternoon stress-free. To top it off, we went to visit my grandmother who couldn't travel to the wedding three days after the wedding, and Christa turned around an AMAZING preview package for us to show her in three days and I was totally blown away when I saw it. Christa took such care to give us an awesome amount of gorgeous photos and also made herself available that day when we had questions about access. I couldn't me more happy with Christa Rae's attentiveness, storytelling, and kindness - thank you, Christa!
