I, on the other hand, would rather drop dead than get dressed down in front of a camera. However, it was our wedding after all and we have been together over 11 years so I thought he deserves something special. So, with a big grain of salt and a whole lot of champagne, I showed up to my appointment at the Line Hotel. I have been to the hotel before, but in general, if you have the chance to book a shoot at this location I really would recommend it. It gives you a whole separate swanky feel. I went up to the room and Lauren was up there with the hair and make up artists. In general it was an absolute vibe. The girls were so friendly and pumped to make me feel beautiful, even though I was incredibly nervous. They asked me what I wanted done with my hair, and I indicated that old Hollywood waves for a more pinup girl look was what I think my husband would want most. They absolutely smashed it. After the hair and make up artist left, it was just Lauren and I. Queue the panic? NOPE! While I am a more curvy girl, Laura instructed me to strike several poses that felt very silly but ended up coming out incredible! She somehow captures a romantic but edgy feel, and there's nothing quite like the lighting that she uses to accentuate the absolute best of us. Her positive attitude, words of affirmation, and general chill attitude made the whole thing feel like I was a movie star. She never pushed me to do any more or less than I wanted to, never made me feel rushed, and helped decide which lingerie pieces would look the best. She's definitely worth the price and I cannot tell you how important it is to ORDER PRINTS. I'm admittedly not someone who orders them for other family or couple shoots I've done, but something about the way she put together the looks made it seem like the art it truly is. I also want to compliment Lauren prompt email responses, willingness to explain costs, and work with me to ensure I got exactly the product I wanted. Not only that, I put her in a bit of a time crunch because of the wedding I timing for the prints. Not only did she send me the photos in a fraction of the time she told me it would take, she also put together the album in 24 hours. No corrections needed- she's an absolute pro. I highly recommend everyone go to her, regardless of their own body image issues, fears, or trepidation. She truly is an artist and I cannot tell you enough good things about her and the experience. When the big day came and I was able to surprise my now-husband, I promise his jaw dropped. Even the day after the wedding, he was more interested in these shots than the ones our friends and family sent from the big day- HA! These photos are something my husband and I will always cherish. Getting some photos taken with my wife could be a lot of fun. Doing nudes or something risky or out of our comfort zone would be fun. Talking to one of the representative gave good feeling and something I would like to try with my wife. I wish I could remember the name of the representative, but her name escapes me.
