She gives advice on everything from how picking the proper undergarments affects your photos, to reminders on not forgetting to eat the morning of so that your energy stays up! She really has come across almost every scenario in her time in this business and in turn, uses what she's learned from it all to help better her client's experience. One of my favorite things is how excited she gets as she's taking photos. This is no perfunctory exercise for her, it's truly her passion. I've had the pleasure of working with Elyse on a number of photo shoots. Initially, she took…read morematernity photos and then photos of my newborn daughter. Ultimately, I happily used Elyse to capture my business. As a local small business owner, Elyse encouraged me to develop a branding strategy that would tell a story on my business website and social media outlets. I really wanted the photos to enhance my mission, but also show the real me! We worked in a professional studio setting where Elyse took hundreds of photos over the course of 5 hours. There was no rushing and I felt so heard! She did an amazing job of listening to what I wanted, while also suggesting ideas that would make my vision that much better. It's obvious Elyse puts a lot of time and hard work into delivering quality photos. During post production she clearly takes the extra hours to comb through the details-things that I wouldn't normally deem important (ie symmetry, complimentary colors, and proper lighting.) She is a perfectionist, so I trusted that she would take the time to make sure I'd be happy with the end result. One of the biggest differences between Elyse and most other photographers that I've worked with is this: she makes you feel super comfortable while guiding you on how to pose. As a woman this is so crucial because it's really difficult to find a flattering stance. I never know how to stand or smile! I also have a hard time just looking natural. Elyse helped me figure this out in like 5 minutes! It always felt like Elyse had my back when creating images for me and my brand. I couldn't recommend her more. Aside from being super knowledgeable in her field, she truly has an eye for what looks incredible and I would recommend her to anyone who wants the very best photos.

I have also received endless complements about the intimate portraits she captured and that I have since utilized these on ALL my social media accounts-- (i swear her photos have upped my follower count!) Elyse has a unique way of looking at things, and an eye for creative capture. As a creative myself, I admire her talent and look for this quality in a photographer. Beyond her talent, she is a gentle, fun-loving personality that is super easy to work and fun to be around. I cannot wait to work with Elyse again!!

From the beginning, Rachel was easy to contact and responded to any questions promptly. She was very clear and thorough when discussing the entire process and did a great job planning ahead. For example, she looked up when the sun would set on the day of my proposal which determined the best time to take stunning photos. Moreover, she went with me to pick the perfect location (on a 100 degree day no less). Signing the contract and paying her was also super easy and done all online. On the day of the proposal, she was exactly where I wanted her to be. She got some amazing photos of the actual proposal and then did about 45 minutes of other pictures. That night she edited and sent us 5 beautiful pictures that we sent to friends and family. Seven days later, while she was on vacation, Rachel edited and sent us the rest which were exceptional. Finally, for an extra nice touch, she bought us dessert at the restaurant where we celebrated our engagement. I was pretty nervous planning this whole process, but Rachel made it easy and had great ideas. Overall, we could not be more impressed with her work and would definitely ask her to be our photographer again.
