Rachel was a great photographer and I highly recommend her work. She took photos of my engagement proposal and judging from my fiancee's reaction, I would say Rachel nailed it. From the beginning, Rachel was easy to contact and responded to any questions promptly. She was very clear and thorough when discussing the entire process and did a great job planning ahead. For example, she looked up when the sun would set on the day of my proposal which determined the best time to take stunning photos. Moreover, she went with me to pick the perfect location (on a 100 degree day no less). Signing the contract and paying her was also super easy and done all online. On the day of the proposal, she was exactly where I wanted her to be. She got some amazing photos of the actual proposal and then did about 45 minutes of other pictures. That night she edited and sent us 5 beautiful pictures that we sent to friends and family. Seven days later, while she was on vacation, Rachel edited and sent us the rest which were exceptional. Finally, for an extra nice touch, she bought us dessert at the restaurant where we celebrated our engagement. I was pretty nervous planning this whole process, but Rachel made it easy and had great ideas. I needed a photographer for a solo session and was quite nervous about it, I am *not* someone who likes being the center of attention and I never enjoy photos of myself. I was very lucky to have Rachel recommended to me - she is quite literally the BEST professional I've ever had the pleasure to work with. I could tell from the first response from her that she was the person I wanted to work with. I'm someone who is extremely detail oriented and she still managed to blow me away - her style guide of tips and tricks for the shoot for starters - and she was extremely flexible in my pushing my shoot back a few days so I could set up hair, makeup, the right outfits etc. once I had a chance to read her guide! She truly makes sure you are the best version of prepared before the shoot. She even recommended Carolyn Thombs (and other makeup/hair stylists etc.) in her guide, she was also amazing. There was a chance of rain the day of my shoot and she proactively reached out to offer an alternative location or a rebook. Thankfully the weather cleared and we didn't need either. I was nervous when I arrived but Rachel was calm, cool, collected and fun! She walked me through all the kinds of poses, walks, facial expressions etc. She has this down to a SCIENCE!! She even managed to make Union Station look glamorous and had so many amazing ideas that I never would have thought of. When she sent me the photos I actually got tears in my eyes I loved them so much. I told everyone I know that I've found my photographer for life - I quite simply will never work with someone else. We truly cannot give Rachel enough praise. Even before we met her, she was extremely helpful and responsive over email--sending helpful information and answering our (many) questions. Our engagement shoot (included in our package) was relaxed and fun. It helped us get a feel for what we'd be doing on our wedding day and let Rachel get to know us as a couple, what poses were best for us, etc. On the actual wedding day, Rachel was incredibly organized, thoughtful, and professional, while still making taking pictures fun! She handled our large families extremely well and moved quickly to make sure no one (especially the kids) got bored or uncomfortable. We not only had sneak peeks the next day, but DURING THE RECEPTION Rachel set up her laptop with a slideshow of photos from the ceremony--it was amazing!! We have never seen that at a wedding before and it was so special for our guests to be able to see the photos right away. Rachel is super nice and easy to work with, she's fun and friendly, but above all that, her photos are GORGEOUS. Her style is so light and bright and she truly knows how to use natural light to get stunning shots--but her nighttime shots are incredible, too!
