I moderated a panel last week and a panelist I was being introduced to said, "yes, the woman with the most amazing head shot." Yesterday morning we did our 5th(!) family mini session shoot with Stacey in a garden next to the Capitol. It's wonderful to get these beautiful shots of our children growing up -- and have some shots with me that I love that aren't selfies! Years ago Stacey took an iconic (among our family and friends) photo of my son sulking off to the left of the Washington monument when my husband and I were were standing to the right smiling while pregnant with our daughter. That same day Stacey was able to joke around with our son and get the best shots of him smiling and enjoying himself. Our daughter enjoys the shoots just as much. Thank you, Stacey!

We cannot wait to see our photos! :) and we look forward to working with Stacey again in the future!!

I brought lots of different looks for him to take glamour and fashion portraits of me, but he also had lots of wardrobe and accessories laid out for me to choose from when I got there. We did a variety of looks and lighting setups in a very short amount of time. So I got alot of different photos from our shoot. He sent the retouched images out within a week and I was very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

He very clearly doesn't care about his customers after the photoshoots are over with (he told us he prioritizes upcoming photoshoots over customers who are waiting for deliverables--at least in our case). Regardless of whether having to wait 9 months for an album is abnormal (like we did), he made it very clear that he did not care about completing our contract in a timely fashion, continually made excuses and broke promises, and rarely responded to our multiple attempts to contact him. He only responded to our repeated contact after we had to get a lawyer involved because he didn't return our emails for months. FULL REVIEW... I'll break this review into two parts: before/during and after the wedding. Before the wedding, Rodney gets 3.5/5 stars. After the wedding, Rodney gets -3.5/5 stars, so it averages out to 0/5 stars. Before/during the wedding, Rodney mostly met expectations. He showed up 20 minutes late for our engagement photo shoot and a few minutes late to our wedding day. He is friendly when interacting with guests (or us) and telling us how to pose. On the day of the wedding, he forgot to do one pose with certain people in it that we requested that he get. (He specifically stated that he doesn't guarantee any poses but you hire a photographer on your wedding day so that you do not have to worry about those types of things.) His photography style is somewhat unique so make sure you like it. One final minor point is that the photos he took for our wedding wouldn't scale properly to an 8 by 10 photo, so that left us disappointed that we couldn't get the photos we wanted in the right size. (I haven't used a professional photographer before so I'm not sure how normal this is.) After the wedding: It took him a month to get us our wedding photos (which is later then he told us he could get them to us but not that bad); after getting us the photos digitally, he was almost completely unresponsive when we tried to get information on our wedding album. He kept making promises that he couldn't keep. Without going into the many details of the sorry, it took NINE MONTHS after the wedding in order to get our album. He openly told us that he wasn't prioritizing getting our album to us and mislead us multiple times. We went three months where he completely ignored all communication from us so we contacted a lawyer to help us mediate and only then did Rodney actually respond to us. Apparently he'll only get you your album (and get it to you 9 months late!) if you threaten to sue him. His excuse was that he needed to get a new album vendor and that is why it took him so long. This is a poor excuse on his part because he told us that he was not prioritizing our album and didn't actually inform us that he was looking for a new album vendor until months after our wedding. So if he would have started working on our album when he said he was going to, he would have been able to finish our album before apparently needing to switch album vendors. To reiterate, it took him so long to start working on our album; if he would have started working on the album when he should have, we would not have waited even longer than that. He also told our lawyer that we knew that it could take "months" to find a new album but we agreed to let him search for a new album company anyway. This is nonsense but he had convinced himself it was true. No one in their right mind would agree to wait 9 months for a wedding album! We absolutely did not agree to this. We agreed to "weeks" (what he actually told us on the phone), not "months" which is what he claimed that he told us. He was incredibly rude with every interaction after the wedding. He very clearly doesn't care about his customers after the photoshoots are over with. Regardless of whether having to wait 9 months for an album is abnormal, he made it very clear that he did not care about completing our contact in a timely fashion, continually made excuses, and rarely responded to our multiple attempts to contact him. Maybe 9 months is not the norm for when Rodney's clients get his albums but either way, clients should BEWARE of his poor professionalism; he is incredibly difficult to work with after he has actually take the pictures and will completely ignore you if he feels that there was nothing to update you on (as he said in his own words).

The photographer uses a camera that you or I could invest in and the "natural" lighting for photos outside of the studio. The studio shots made my daughter's face look very greasy from all the lighting used in the space of the studio. The pricing changed several times and the deal on Yelp was not provided to me although the photographer said it was. I would definitely shop around and/or ask all the questions you have in writing before signing a contract. I am cutting my losses with the actual sitting fee cost I paid. I WILL NOT be purchasing ANY of the photos from this photographer. Nor will I use this photographer again in the future. I'd like to respond to the photographer's comment. The photographer does not know why I chose to provide my Yelp review now. However, I will share my reasons. After going back and forth with rescheduling a date for the session (once on my terms another on her's) we had the session in October. I purchased the discount deal on Yelp after consulting with the photographer and her asking me where I found her (I found her on Yelp). She just said ok. When we spoke afterwards and I informed her I purchased the deal on Yelp. She tells me she already gave me a discount. During the consultation the photographer asked if it would be an indoor/outdoor session. I exclaimed I would like both so she quoted me a session sitting fee quote for both. The photographer stated in her response to my review she gave me a discount for an indoor/outdoor session. She never stated at the time of the consultation it was for the Yelp discount or that you can only use one discount. I would have made the decision that worked out as the best deal. She provided the online gallery for my review. Before entering the online gallery to review the photos she has a rating/review pop up. In order for you to enter the photos for review you have to rate it review her. I've never seen business practices like this. If your confident about the work you provide you would allow you customers to rate/review you after they review your work. Some of the pictures were good (the offsite photos) others were awful. All the indoor shots in her studio were awful! The indoor studio shots were where all her cap and gown shots were taken. The photographer had an abundance of lighting in her studio and only used "natural" lighting for the gym and outdoor shots. Needless to say, as a "PROFESSIONAL" photographer you prepare and provide lighting regardless. I'm not sure how this photographer feels she went above and beyond for me but, myself along with my daughter were her assistants for the session. So if anyone went above and beyond...it may be the client. Here nor there, I took my lost on the sitting fee cost I paid her for her time. Her quality of photography is by no means the quality of going to a studio. Do your research and get everything in black and white so you do not get bamboozled for SERVICE, QUALITY and YOUR VISION!

The first time I saw his work was at McLean Animal Hospital. He used to be a photographer with UPI and began working for himself. I had minutes to spare to secure another available vendor to arrive at an anniversary event boat cruise in time to board and prepare for the event. I bided the job out to several vendors and decided to go with Exquisite Imaging to support my local area. Although $100 over my originally contracted price, it was worth it due to the limited timeframe. I also had to include the photographer as an event guest, so I paid the extra $170 for him to board the ship. He definitely had great energy and fit in well with my guest. Sincerely grateful for the great presence. My only gripe, and it is a very big one for me, is that while in the process of waiting for the link to my event photos, he shared my link with my guest (most unpaid by the way), they were sponsored and their tickets paid for as well (FREE for THEM), just like his. That was not cool at all, and not his call. He only had one customer, that's me the PAYEE! My goal, as mentioned to the photographer, was to build the event book with the digital photos that I paid him to take. Mind you, he shared them without consent. He mentioned that he wanted to make the customers and guest happy. Wait what? There is only one customer that shelled out almost $600 ($400 for the photography job; and $170 for his premium dinner cruise ticket on the Spirit of Washington), a two-hour event to celebrate my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. His obligation was to honor my request. Not go all out and give out my paid for products to others for free. I had not had the opportunity to even review for appropriateness or decide which items I was going to include. Very bad business. "People don't care how much you know, until they know you care." The main request my mother and father had for their anniversary was the photo book. I was livid to say the least. My contract was one-on-one with the photographer...One customer. The pictures were great, but my business experience with him just washed out all of the good from our very short union. I could legally make him accountable for his actions but am choosing not to go that route for the good that was there for a split second. The experience ruined his entire purpose for being there. Done!
