I hate to be the first person to leave a negative review, but my experience with this photographer was definitely not worth the $400 I paid for. I sought out this photographer via modelmayhem.com based off the photos she had posted on her profile. To make a very long and emotionally draining story short, I contacted her to take photos of three concept: my graduation cap and gown, my army uniform, and a ball gown. We agreed on the concept and price ($400) and the contract was signed by both parties the next day. Moving on to the day of the shoot, she was very professional, no complaints at all. I told her again my concept and we worked from there. Five days after the shoot, I received an email from the photographer (which the contract said that I would have a 3 day turnaround for photos delivered so that was the first bad sign) providing me a link to my photo gallery. My thought process upon receiving the email like to the gallery was, ok she's sending me my photos to pick the ten that I like and then she's going to edit them as all other photography service does.....WRONG! She sent and edit photos that she CHOSE without even considering my feedback. I was truly anger at the selection of photos she had chosen for my concept as this was not listed in the paid contract that we both signed. The photos were horrible and not what I requested for my concept. In pure and utter disbelief, I contacted the photographer requesting answers on why she would ever choose my photos for me in which I paid $400 for. She stated to me that that's how she does it for her customers, they rely on her "eyes" and that's why she doesn't provide a photo gallery of all the photos taken from the photo shoot for customers to pick through. I've NEVER heard of any type of service like this. How, me being the customer, not able to pick the photos that I like and paid for. After going back and forth with her in email clearly showing my frustration as she clearly breached her contract, she offer to give me $200 out of the $400 payment because out of that $400, $200 was a non-refundable deposit. Her contract say nothing about her choosing the customer photos because if it did I would never work with her. So now I'm out of $200 and I have no photos for my big day to show my family. I'm truly emotionally hurt and now I have to spend more money just to get my graduation photos done. I would say to any new customer, choose very wisely please and learn from my mistakes. I wish I can turn back the hands of time and not use her services because this experiences ruined my graduation day photos. BEWARE! Uploaded are her so call contract and the emails conversation between her and I so you can make the determination on whether to use her services are not. read more
