We did both city hall wedding and a private 2 hours outdoor shooting on Long island. As always, he arrived early ( earlier than us). City Hall Wedding For most couples, it's prob. their first time, so having a wedding photographer who is patient and experienced with the process definitely ease a lot of the stress. I remember Steven kinda walk me through the process over the phone before the court wedding date, giving your tips that actually helped a lot. The actually "ceremony" is quick, but sometimes the wait can be a little long, he really takes time to capture each moment for you along each step of the process. Outdoor Shooting I told Steven that I love nature, and I like artsy/cool pictures. Steven suggested morning/evening time where the light has a lot of variety. For me, he is sort of an impressionist, trying to capture beauty throughout the changing light. He is creative, and also open for suggestions. We loved our pictures. We had been together for 6 years and we never did any type of photo shoot together. Our shoot was on a Friday morning in Grand Central Station and then in Central Park. Imagine a typical Friday morning at Grand Central. It is very, very, very busy and packed. We met up with Steven there and he asked us to go stand in the middle, of what seemed like thousands of people, and go pose. Needless to say, we felt SO awkward doing that. The second Steven started talking to us, we got so comfortable. The whole time we were with Steven, we only noticed him and each other. He made us totally forget how nervous we were and made us forget about the hundreds of people walking by and staring at us. I recall him saying he was in technology or something before he started doing photography but I swear, he must have some training in psychology because he like hypnotized us into feeling so calm and comfortable. From the beginning, Rachel was easy to contact and responded to any questions promptly. She was very clear and thorough when discussing the entire process and did a great job planning ahead. For example, she looked up when the sun would set on the day of my proposal which determined the best time to take stunning photos. Moreover, she went with me to pick the perfect location (on a 100 degree day no less). Signing the contract and paying her was also super easy and done all online. On the day of the proposal, she was exactly where I wanted her to be. She got some amazing photos of the actual proposal and then did about 45 minutes of other pictures. That night she edited and sent us 5 beautiful pictures that we sent to friends and family. Seven days later, while she was on vacation, Rachel edited and sent us the rest which were exceptional. Finally, for an extra nice touch, she bought us dessert at the restaurant where we celebrated our engagement. My husband and I just got married and we hired Joe Lee from Party Favor Photo for Photo Booth services for our wedding. We did not experience any issues leading up to the event. Joe was quite responsive, friendly, and accommodating, and his prices seemed very reasonable for the quality and service so we were quite pleased and excited for Party Favor Photo to be at our event. However, there were some hiccups and miscommunications during the event that my husband and I were dissatisfied with. For one, the photo booth attendant set up about 30 minutes late. Another issue was that the attendant printed the first few photos in color, although we contracted for black and white photos. They were able to resolve this quickly once we realized the issue, so no harm no foul. However, the software continued to be glitchy and crashed several times throughout the night. Some of our photos turned out dark and fuzzy as well. After the wedding, I reached out to Joe to express our disappointment and he responded completely unprofessionally. He accused me and my husband of being cheap customers who didn't want to spring for a more expensive package, which was the reason for the issues. And upon seeing a negative review from one of our guests, Joe jumped to the conclusion that it was my husband who wrote the review and deleted all the photos from our online gallery. He also threatened to sue us for defamation. If it hadn't been for Joe's poor response, I would have given his business a 3 or 4 star review. I am now down to 1 star because of his terrible attitude and unprofessionalism. Edit: the business owner's response to this review is quite telling. Please do not be fooled by his lies.
