Book her - just do it. Don't waste your time interviewing a dozen photographers (there are…read morethousands anyway). Just book her, become best friends, and enjoy the most beautiful wedding photos ever, just like we did! We found Victoria and Hunter (V+H) because they had shot my brother's best friend's wedding earlier this year. Obviously, the first thing we did was reviewed her online galleries. There's really no point to me reviewing this part because anyone with eyeballs can see that she takes amazing, top-notch, 100%, take-my-breath-away pictures. After trading a few wonderful emails, we "met" V+H over Skype (we live 90 minutes apart, which is very sad). The connection was instant and after an hour, we were BFFs. My wife and I knew we wanted a personal connection with our vendors, especially with our photographers. With V+H we got that and so much more! They are some of the friendliest, easy-going, personable, and fun people we've ever met. Their passion for their craft really shines through. We knew before we even signed the contract that V+H were exactly what we were looking for. Our engagement shoot (included in the package) was a blast - we loved meeting Victoria in person and getting to explore Annapolis. We brought our son (aka Chase, our dog) along because he's quite handsome and very photogenic. Victoria, unbeknownst to us, had already arranged to have a friend join us to babysit him while he wasn't involved in the shots. What a pro! We were thrilled to see them on our wedding day, and it was exactly what we expected. V+H provided the perfect balance of "telling us what to do" (which we told them to do) and letting us call the shots. To start, Hunter met with the fellas and Victoria met with the ladies for detail shots. Later, they arranged some beautiful shots for the family and the bridal party and captured our reception perfectly. We were so sad when they had to leave at the end of the night. Our pictures are amazing and we could not be happier. Thank you V+H!

Neither of us like being photographed much but from our engagement shoot to day of, working with her was a breeze and FUN. Our photos, both engagement and wedding day will be ones we cherish forever and I would recommend her to anyone.

The moment that just stunned me on our wedding day was when Christa pulled up the creative deck I had sent her months prior and showed a photo I had on it that represented the "sentiment" I wanted to capture from that night. She said she wanted to recreate that photo and had brought special lighting and planned the moment just to make it happen. I felt so heard by Christa in the moment, and that exact photo is the wallpaper on my phone today. Christa Rae is one of the approved vendors for the Naval Academy, and she nailed keeping us on pace for that tight schedule, while still keeping the afternoon stress-free. To top it off, we went to visit my grandmother who couldn't travel to the wedding three days after the wedding, and Christa turned around an AMAZING preview package for us to show her in three days and I was totally blown away when I saw it. Christa took such care to give us an awesome amount of gorgeous photos and also made herself available that day when we had questions about access. I couldn't me more happy with Christa Rae's attentiveness, storytelling, and kindness - thank you, Christa!

An instagram search led to Charlie, and we are so thankful that it did. Saying that Charlie went above and beyond for us doesn't cut it. My fiancé and I found ourselves saying "really? He's going to do that for us?" several times throughout working with him. We were torn between getting photos with the beautiful architecture in Charleston or on the beach at Folly. Charlie's solution: "Let's do both!" The first day we were scheduled for pictures the forecast was showing torrential downpours, and I was panicked, but Charlie quickly eased my mind by providing alternatives, and ultimately assuring me that we'd get the shots no matter what it took. His positivity was contagious. His outlook on a rainy day: "I've always wanted to do a rainy day shoot! Your pictures would look so cute with my clear umbrella!" You know when you were younger and a photographer would say something silly to make you laugh? Charlie has mastered that for adults too. He knows just what to say to get you to smile, giggle or belly laugh for those adorable, natural photos. At the beginning of the shoot, he explains some key phrases for the poses so that throughout the process things are moving quickly and smoothly. He brought along his super sweet wife, Valarie, for our first shoot, who came with helping hands bearing hair spray & hair tools. There is no length she won't go to help Charlie & his clients get the best photos. She helps hold branches in the frames, makes sure your hair is placed, and they literally stood on either side of a vehicle and acted as human body shields so we could change into a second outfit. Not only were Charlie & Valarie welcoming to us, they were extremely kind toward our family who wanted to come along and watch, and even snapped a few photos of them for us. We got more beautiful photos than we ever imagined, and made new friends that we never expected to.
