Incredibly grateful for Anna's work! We had reached out for her to be our wedding photographer after a recommendation and she encouraged us to consider doing engagement photos as well. We hadn't really given them much though but she blew us away with the shoot. Our wedding isn't till September but the engagement photos were so ridiculously epic and beautiful that our families and friends are positively gaga for more pics and are incredibly excited for our wedding. That's because Anna and her crew aren't just top-notch photographers with all the right equipment, education, and years of experience. I think one of the keys is that Anna has an immediately contagious passion for the art and is great at encouraging you to just have fun while she captures the unplanned moments that are the ones that resonate the most. Highly recommended! read more

There is no doubt in our minds that Anna is the best in the business. First of all, you cannot beat the price for value you get. She puts her heart and soul into the work she does for you on your engagement photo shoot and the big day. There is constant communication leading up to the big day and never are you worried that she won't get the "perfect shot". Anna's photos are above all else, she has an eye for it. One that you cannot find around here - I dare you to try. She has done our first photo shoot when my wife and I 'came out', she shot the moment that I proposed to my wife, she did our engagement shoot and of course our recent wedding. She always has a TON of photos for you to pick from, perfectly edited, and a 'sneak peak' ready within 12hours of the shoot! Final wedding photos were delivered via email 4days after the wedding!! Name a photographer who does that?! (My cousins all waited a YEAR for their final photos with another photographer). Anna and her work is priceless. You would be lucky to be able to book Anna for you wedding and you would be a fool not to try. Anna, thank you for catching all of our beautiful memories so perfectly, we cannot thank you enough and we can't wait for our next life adventure for you to catch! Love, Mrs. & Mrs. Mason read more

Anna Schmidt is incredible when it comes to taking photos. She did photography for my sisters wedding and the photos all turned out great. She also did some additional shoots afterwards for our family and they all turned out wonderful including my sisters new born. She is professional, incredibly nice and easy to work with. Everything that a photographer should be. I would certainly highly recommend her and hire her as a photographer your next event! read more

Anna helped us visualize how the choice of venue would affect the photos of an event. We highly recommend calling ahead to schedule an onsite consultation with her as soon as you have a venue in mind so she can help you get the most out of your venue. She primarily covers the Baltimore-Annapolis-DC area. She has a staff photographer and assistant to carry extra equipment. Her portfolio was very diverse in that it covered a plurality of ethnic weddings with ample indoor and outdoor shots. Her talents are most appreciated when presented with a super challenging lighting situation. Her planning ahead of time helped a lot. She brings more than a lucky shot as she shows shots from the same wedding. She is really enjoyable to be around all day. Other than wishing she could be a little more of a task master during the family photo shot or closer to us in DC, I am unable to think of anything more to wish for. I recommend making a list of what is challenging about your event and seeing if Anna Schmidt's website has an example responsive to your concerns. read more

We had a look at Anna's website and knew we wanted her as our wedding photographer. Other photographers had photos with just as high quality and good technique, but seemed too "removed" from the event. We wanted someone who was engaged with the event, whose photos look like they were dancing with us right in our circle of friends. Just a quick browse through Anna's gallery and we noticed right away her photos weren't detached and stagey, but spontaneous and really allowing her subjects to be natural, sometimes facing away, or capturing a moment of couples mid-conversation. We were impressed. I met with Anna for an initial consultation and we talked for an hour and she brought along sample photo books she had put together. She asked great questions from "How did you and your fiance meet?" to logistical questions like "How many people are you expecting? Is there space to set up additional lights if needed?" Having worked in entertainment and event planning, I appreciated that she was considering these things so early on. Our next meeting was the venue a week before the wedding. On the day-of, Anna & Lauren were completely chill, very professional and friendly. We had family members help to corral together our extended family (like herding cats!) and Anna & Lauren remained completely calm in the midst of all this. About 20 minutes before they left, they checked in with us to see if there were any people we wanted to get special photos with. I was able to get some wonderful shots even in those last few moments. Our first batch of preview photos came through FAST! I was amazed; and beyond that, I was so enthralled with how she and Lauren really captured the spirit of the day. Nothing seemed static or uninteresting- and they captured all those moments that we missed. It's a great surprise to see all the moments you weren't a part of. Just beautiful & like a present of memories! I would book Anna and Lauren for another event without hesitation. Absolutely! read more

Anna. Still awesome. We hired her for our wedding in 2016 and she produced amazing images. We felt very comfortable with her and felt that she was worth every penny. 2017, we hired her for newborn pictures. Again, loved all the images. She did a great job of working with us to make sure we got everything we wanted out of the shoot. Next baby, we'll be calling Anna again! Wouldn't trust our special moments with anyone else at this point! read more

Anna was absolutely perfect! She really listened to what we wanted and made us so comfortable! Our wedding pictures came out more stunning than I could have ever imagined! She brought a second photographer, Lauren, who was amazing as well! Her assistant Ashley was also wonderful. She is a real pro with lighting and the perfect poses! Super organized! We have a very large family that needed to be organized and in place and the process was super efficient and relaxing. Thank you Anna! read more

I don't know where to begin! Immediately responsive: check. Friendly, personable and professional: check. Good with toddlers: check x infinite. Anna is amazing. We hired her to take family photos and she knocked it out of the park. She was flexible, accommodating, happy, excited, patient... everything you want your photographer to be. Our pictures prove how amazing she is, because we are all genuinely happy and enjoying our time being photograph. Thank you, Anna! read more

Is it possible to give 10 stars? Without a doubt, hiring Anna was one of the top decisions that I made as part of my wedding planning. From Day 1, Anna exceeded my expectations in literally every respect. Prior to the wedding, her turnaround time to my emails with questions, flexibility with respect to my requests, and organization with respect to the shots I wanted to take was an OCD/type A girl's dream. The experience working with her was so great that I actually wouldn't have regretted it if the pictures turned out just ok, but my obsession with Anna just got stronger and stronger. My husband and I are not naturals in front of the camera. He's impatient, and neither of us are naturals with respect to posing for pictures. That said, Anna made us feel at ease, told us what to do, and hit the shots we needed quickly and efficiently. She had the list of requested photos with her at all times, but also proactively recommended different shots with good lighting/background that we hadn't even considered. She got candids and shots of all the little details to really capture the experience. But it gets better! After the wedding and reception, she had edited and sent us ~100 wedding preview pics by the time we had made it home from the after party. This was not even remotely requested, but I cannot tell you how special it was to be able to go through the pictures the next day with my new husband, family, and friends. And they are so, so beautiful. I am so incredibly happy to have had the experience working with Anna. The pleasure was literally all mine! read more

As a newly engaged couple you go through the motions of interviewing candidates to photograph your special day. From our first meeting (which Anna was organized, set up, and was super flexible with my hectic schedule!) Anna made me feel comfortable, confident, and like my thought, comments and visions were her top priority! Wanting to see her body of work in motion, she did our engagement photos in an unusual location - the center of a sunflower patch! Hearing this and the unusual location Anna took the challenge head on, bringing props, ideas and expertise! Her professional nature while photographing again made my fiancé and I feel like we were the most important couple ever. We chose her for the second round of engagement photos @ Camden Yards and we chose her to move forward for our Destination Wedding in Cancun Mexico! A wedding photographer who travels and cost effective?! I WAS SHOCKED because you don't get that. I trust her completely with our special day no questions asked. I look forward to not only this professional relationship but a long lasting friendship! HIGHLY recommended! Brittany Shrewsbury, PA read more

One of the best decisions I made regarding my wedding was choosing Anna as the photographer. Her team captured priceless moments that I wasn't able to catch during my wedding. I was married on Saturday and had a preview by Sunday. The turn around was very fast for all of the remaining retouched images. She spent a lot time visiting the venue and meeting with me before the event because I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to take. I look forward to using Anna in the future photography needs. read more

In sum: wow. Anna Schmidt and her assistant were the epitome of professional, patient, and efficient on the day of our wedding. Since our first consultation with Anna, we were struck by her calming influence and positive attitude. Moreover, she has a love and passion for the work she does and it comes across both in person and in the gorgeous pictures she takes. We were especially impressed with how quick and seamlessly she took several groupings of family photos after the wedding ceremony - something that could have taken an hour or more took just a little over 30 minutes. We could not be happier with Anna Schmidt Photography and the photos of our wedding, and would happily reach out to her if we ever need a photographer in the future. Highly recommend Anna Schmidt Photography to anyone looking for a professional photographer who is easy to work with and delivers breathtaking results!! read more

Anna is amazing! We had alot of weather events for engagement and wedding pictures, which through a wrench into things but she and her team made the most of it. Anna was also more than accommodating to be sure that we got exactly what we wanted. Her work is beautiful and her love and passion of photography shines through her work. She was highly professional and is one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of working with. I am so grateful to have had her capture some of the greatest moments of my life throughout our engagement and wedding. She will continue to capture life events for our family. read more

This is the second time we have hired Anna Schmidt - that's how much we love her as a person and the quality of her work! The first time was for our wedding a year ago and the photos were stunning. This year, she captured our family photos. What's immediately apparent with Anna is that she loves what she does. She is extremely responsive with email and phone communications and her dedication to customers is even more apparent with the amount of planning that goes into each session. Our recent photo shoot at Quiet Waters park was perfectly timed around sunset and with the gazebo and bridge as a backdrop. Her personable manner and patience make her a perfect photographer during the session. What's even more astounding is how beautifully she edits the photographs and how quickly she delivers a sneak peek of the session. You will be very impressed with Anna! read more

I came to Anna for my engagement photos and we were so happy with our images! Aside from the fact that Anna is skilled at every aspect that goes into photography, the experience itself with Anna was really a pleasant one. I am not a very creative person but had a rough idea of the kind of theme I wanted for my photos. Luckily, Anna somehow could envision exactly what I wanted without me explaining much, and used her creativity to take us to Washington, DC, a sentimental location for my fiance and I and take photos in front of famous landmarks in beautiful, sunny weather. The photos came out flawless, vibrant but nostalgic at the same time. Anna took great care when editing our images and made sure we received photos of the highest quality. She delivered a large number of photos for us to choose from, so we had quite a nice selection. Anna's all smiles and so fun to be around as well! :-) You can tell that she really loves doing this. If you are getting married in the DC area, I highly recommend Anna Schmidt Photography! You will see for yourself, you won't be disappointed! read more
