I definitely recommend checking out the other Google reviews of Rachel because they are all glowing. My husband and I hired Rachel for both our engagement and wedding photos and this was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process! In total, I looked at about 15 photographers' websites and requested quotes from 7 photographers because I knew how important having a photographer we liked would be. As I went through this process, I was looking for three qualities: a) I liked their photography style, b) I could trust them to be professional, punctual, and (most importantly) kind to me, my husband, friends, and family, and c) I would enjoy spending 8 hours with them as they documented some of the most precious moments of my life. Rachel was our first meeting, and from the moment I met her, I knew that this was the person I wanted to photograph our wedding. She is kind, calm, and professional. She's able to guide you through the process of getting your photo taken and she makes the wedding day so much easier. Prior to the wedding day, she provided suggestions to for our wedding day timeline so we could do our immediate family photos before the wedding (something we wanted to do so we could have more time during cocktail hour.) We almost didn't do engagement photos, but as my husband and I have never had our photos taken professionally before prior to this year, Rachel recommended them to be more comfortable the day of the wedding. She was definitely correct that it helped the wedding day and we got some amazing photos out of it at the National Gallery of Art. We just got our sneak peek photos back (less than a week after the wedding, which was so impressive), and I was so excited because I have been itching to write a glowing review of Rachel since she first did our engagement photos earlier this year. Looking through these photos, it was so fun to see how she captured our wedding day, including small moments that captured the love between my husband and I as well as the love and support of our family and friends, and I am going to look back at these photos fondly for decades to come. Overall, I had such a blast working with Rachel, and I highly, highly recommend Rachel for your photography needs.

He is extremely professional. He took the time to talk to me on phone beforehand to understand exactly what I was looking for. He also gave me tips on how I should dress and what color clothes and makeup will work best. He clicked many pictures and then we picked the one's I liked best. He sent me all the pictures the same day within an hour and photoshopped the ones I liked best the next day. Also he sent me pictures in the format and specifications as I requested. Everyone who sees the picture tells me how good they look. I highly recommend Mr Farrer. He enjoys his work and strives to deliver his best. Thank you once again.

Steve is a perfectionist and very thorough, and gets totally wrapped up in making your photography perfect. He helped us to feel comfortable during our engagement photo session, and we liked how friendly and genuine he was. For our wedding, he and his assistant arrived right on time, and were there to capture every important moment, both candid and posed, before and during the wedding. He was quick to post the online gallery for us to share with friends and family - it came about a month after our wedding. His services are not inexpensive, but we did also opt for a photo album and a package of prints of re-touched photos in various sizes. There are a ton of "photographers" out there, but we appreciated that Steve used the proper equipment and came equipped with several different kinds of flashes, and that his assistant was also a skilled photographer. My absolute favorite part of working with Steve and his assistant was how beautifully they captured the "first look" between my groom and me, and really encapsulated our sheer joy and excitement at that very moment. Reliving those photos makes me so happy. My only recommendation with Steve is that you cannot rely on email alone as correspondence, as he's not an avid emailer. Although I prefer email, I found that calling him at his studio or on his mobile number was a better way to get a hold of him. The pricing was really straightforward and competitive with other quotes. I liked that the price was for unlimited hours and included a photo album and 6 prints as well as an engagement photo session. Steve was actually busy on the day of our wedding so we had 2 other photographers who were FANTASTIC! We knew this in advance and were fine with it. We were very pleased with the alternate photographers. They definitely took more of a photo journalistic approach than I think Steve would have, which resulted in some very creative shots. We deliberately made a short photo list because we didn't want to spend the wedding taking photos and I felt the photographers (Dustin and Aaron) were very respectful of this request. I can't say enough good things about these two. It took multiple follow up requests to get the online gallery of our wedding photos 4 weeks after the wedding. I never imagined it would take that long and we were dying to see the photos! It's been 2 months and we still don't have our album or the 6 prints which were included in the contract. I provided the photo numbers I wanted immediately upon receiving them as well as prompt payments, so the delay is not on our end. Steve said the album could take 2-4 months but I'm not sure what's taking so long on the prints because it's hard to get a response from Steve. Overall, I would recommend Steve Canning because of the quality of the work and the price but I would want the bride & groom to know it will take a long time to get your photos and album. Maybe I'll be really impressed when the album does arrive and update this review!

Run away! - The Photos will be good but the video service is horrid and overall execution is a…read moremess, disruptive during the ceremony, they argue (husband and wife bad energy) and will miss capturing toasts and key moments as they go off and to eat and chat. The contract for video and other services was fulfilled - they were downside to a crucial part of a special day. HE FIGHTS WITH HIS WIFE - We met with this small minority owned business and contracted for photos and full video services. They arrived to shoot the bride in the bridal suite during hair make-up time. Bridesmaids laid out jewelry and shoes, etc to be photographed. It looked lovely. His wife added touches and prepared to shoot with her camera when he came over and told her she had it all wrong. He changed it for the worse and they began to argue about this and other things until one bridesmaid said, "Are you all married? Did you have a fight in the car on your way here or something? Please take you negative energy out of here and argue outside. This is a happy positive space." They went outside the suite to finish their fight. Awful! MESSY EXECUTIOJN - They showed up to the ceremony with three people (to photogs and 1 video person) and right before the ceremony began they put their stuff, hung jackets and camera cases and trunks right in the way on the aisle as the bride walks down. Thus their junk was IN the photographs. Who would do that among thousands in ceremony florals? Ruin the scene last minute? HE IS THE STREAMING FOCUS - We paid for live streaming for west coast family, What our video guests saw was the back of the photographer blocking the bride and groom for most of the ceremony - also blocking the guests. No situational awareness. The amusing galling part was him turning and looking at HIMSELF into the streaming camera so often to ensure it was capturing HIM! We watched it after. Awful! DISTRACTING AND DISRUPTIVE - The videographer in a baseball cap slid around on the floor behind the reverend looking up at the bride and groom from the altar floor -- super distracting during taking the solemn vows. We were thinking - this video better be good. NO VIDEO POOR ALTERNATIVE - After all that We got three 2 minutes montages of our wedding. They basically moving photographs set to odd up tempo honky tonk music we did not choose. They were not even in chronological order - one begins with teens dancing wildly and then goes right into the ring exchange, We asked for a re-edit, with real video, in order with proper music. Got Nothing. NO VIDEO - Despite the guy shooting from the floor of the altar, we NEVER got a full video of the wedding or reception we paid for. We called the photographer for weeks after asking for the video as we saw the videographer (he is in other shots taken by family). When they called back - he said "Sorry, we were on a cruise and there is no video. What we sent you is it." The grooms brothers wanted to see their toasts again after the wedding, we did too, But we got nothing from ACB. We managed to get videos from family friends which shows they clearly had a videographer present. It was in our contract as well. The only video we have is a copy of the live stream with him as the star. No toasts, no words. Memories lost. He must have had a dispute with his video guy and ultimately could not deliver. Our money was clearly spent on his cruise a month later. Who has time to take him to court? I took the photos - which we got on thumb drive - and went to Shutterfly and built a beautiful luxury album cropping his junk from the ceremony shots etc. for half of his post wedding price offered. I did not trust him with final images as he did not deliver on out contract. High. High. High regret. Don't do it. Find someone else.
