I was amazed with how quickly we went from scared and shy to laughing hysterically and going crazy in front of the camera. One of the fine ladies helping us had a photographic memory. She would ask me my cell number and immediately committed it to memory. She had photos and videos buzzing my phone before I even got out of the booth. The best part of this was how much fun it was to get in there and jazz it up. I'm a total introvert but the booth and the lovely ladies running it put me into a hypnotic trance where I became an extrovert. My wife and I searched high and low for a vendor to complement our photographer and capture our May 2007 wedding. We found expensive ones with a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles and then we found John Rose. Our first meeting was in a MD chain restaurant. He reminded me of a car salesman who was learning the ropes. He was nervous and he was just starting his own business. However he brought a mini dvd player and showed us a sample dvd of his past weddings. He offered more affordable packages and a greater sense of photojournalism. My wife and I shopped around and thought that the other vendors did not fit our budget or style. We took a gamble on our man. I enjoyed working with him before, during and after the ceremony and reception. I don't remember saying more than 4 words to him and his team the entire night; he and the equipment were incognito. He also worked well with our photographer (sometimes vendors can "fight" for better shots). Our final product, received within 2.5 months, is a work of art, from the DVD case design to the chapter menus and footage. It's like watching a movie (not just Uncle Bob's raw footage). Although he is located in MD and serves primarily MD, DC and VA, he is willing to travel for a nominal fee. I would be willing to answer questions (PM me) and vouch for him. We were married September 12th and things couldn't have gone better. Mid pandemic we'd been petrified we'd lose our vendors and we didn't. Dan assured us that if we lost our venue they'd come DJ / Officiate & photo booth in our backyard! They were as determined as we were to have this wedding. The wedding day came and everything was flawless. Dan & Ray took care of our outdoor music for the reception- gave us queues to walk out to and then my (now) husband and I met Dan at the alter. He was our officiant and we loved every minute of the ceremony. He pronounced us married and it was the best. We then went for pictures and Dan & Ray introduced us in. , immediately after the ceremony we realized that our caterers were late and by "we" I mean Dan. He alerted my husband & MOH to keep me stress-less. The situation was rectified and we continued through the night. Dan checked on us multiple times through the night, offered to get us drinks. He even cut our cake. The music was incredible, the photo booth & personalized designs for our pictures were all amazing & flawless. I guess what I'm trying to say is, hiring Dan for your event is more than just hiring a DJ. It's hiring someone who cares about your event as much as you do, having an AMAZING time - I literally will not forget my wedding or any details. You'll have someone who wants things to run smooth and will consistently make sure you're happy with your event. Since Dan, my husband and I met- he's said don't stress, we'll make your day perfect and he did. We've gained a friend, damn near family after that day & I can't sing his praises enough.

Every single time I have had so much fun and loved every single photo. Experience as vendor working with Helen: she is very easy to communicate with and quick with responses which is VERY important to me. Helen is very clear on expressing the direction of the shoot which makes it easy for me as a makeup artist to understand what I should be doing makeup wise with the model.
