For a number of years, I've had issues with dark circles and some hallowing under my eyes. After…read moredoing a good amount of research, I decided to move forward with scheduling an appointment at The Naderi Center in Chevy Chase MD, with Dr. Kulak. I had fillers injected into my tear troughs in 2019 and I was very pleased with the results. I returned to the Naderi Center in March 2023 to refresh my eyes before my birthday. Needless to say, I am once again very pleased with Dr. Kulak. She was able to quickly assess and determine what was needed to give my tear troughs a nice refresher. I especially appreciate that Dr. Kulak simply gives me what I need, and doesn't place too much volume in my troughs. As an aside, I know a few people who have (at least in my opinion), too much volume from their fillers and it doesn't look natural. Since I like the natural look that Dr. Kulak provides, I will be returning, when the filler dissolves and I need another refresher. The actual procedure took a very short time, but the great results were immediate. I have always been told that i look very good for my age, but the injections took at least 5 years off and makes me look as though I get plenty of sleep each night (which I don't). As an added bonus, I did not have any real bruising from the injections. If you are thinking about getting fillers in your tear troughs, I definitely recommend Dr. Kulak. It may seem like a simple procedure, but whenever one gets fillers or undergoes any medical procedure, it's always best to go to a very skilled physician, who can give you the results that you want. Overall, it was a great experience. Regarding the office staff... The main office staff is very professional and polite, but if I could offer any advice, I would tell the assistant (who numbed my tear troughs), not to harp on the pricing with patients. I'm not sure if that is an office policy and part of her job, but I received the information ahead of time, from the office, via text (which included the latest pricing for services/procedures). The assistant who numbed my tear troughs mentioned that the price went up and it wasn't the same price that I paid in 2019. I was aware that the price went up and didn't care. It was a non issue for me, but I did not appreciate her belaboring the point, especially since I had not asked her any questions about the pricing.

While my profile improved, I developed significant structural and breathing issues. My nostrils are uneven, with one higher and more curved, and I have near-complete obstruction on the left side due to middle vault collapse. The nose also collapses toward the right with weak cartilage support. Despite multiple follow-ups, my concerns were dismissed as swelling. Two ENTs and several plastic surgeons have since confirmed nasal valve collapse and structural weakness.

I told her many times that I did not want to be bigger than I was. Once it was finished and I was at my post-op she said "I had hoped to make you bigger but it wasnt safe" which shows she didnt listen to me at all and I am indeed bigger than I wanted. I have young children including a baby and work at a daycare and she had to advice about how to help prevent damage or injury with little ones. Luckily I had a nurse who was able to help with suggesting protective pillows, etc. As I mentioned I told her each time I had a baby. The whole time I was told no lifting more than 10 pounds for 6 weeks. I planned for 6 weeks to have help from family and friends. At my post-op at 6 weeks she said everything looked good. I said "Ok so I can lift my 25 lb baby now" She said no, you want to wait 3 more months to lift that much weight. I said "Thats something you should've told me before." She rudely replied "Would that have changed anything?" YESSSS I wouldnt have done this part of it! Luckily I have had 4 cousins who have gone through reconstruction (with different doctors) and each of their doctors said 4-6 weeks and then they could lift their children, babies, costco groceries, etc. No one ever said 3 months, she is just afraid of being sued. Not to mention, one of my breasts is dented a bit. Would NOT recommend.

Unlike the first plastic surgeon I had, she listened to everything I said, validated my pain and paid great attention to details. She even came to her office on a Sunday just to see me so I would not end up at a hospital. It is very difficult to find a compassionate surgeon and I was lucky to find her! I hope I will not need plastic surgery in the future, but if it happens, she is the only choice for me.

I now get filler injections to correct reduction of my nose bridge and height. It's not even close but I need eyeglasses so it helps my morale and functioning.. The post rhino uneven nostrils have become moreso with age. Reshaping my nostrils was done to give me a more afrocentric appearance which I thought was strange until I was sent by Dr Porter to another doctor who gave me a speech on Black Pride. I am biracial Black and just wanted to fix a nose that was broken twice and never repaired in the United States Air Force. The original request was to stabilize and refine the tip of my nose. Unfortunately I ended up with a poor result with permanent rhinitis and headaches, uneven nostrils and a pug nose that requires over $20k to revise. I use fillers to get enough projection to wear eyeglasses every two years. I wanted to still look like part of my family. That's the greatest irony because we all identify as African American.

I selected Dr Porter because of her schooling, boards, and positions she holds within the medical community. However, looking back none of those things really speak to her skills. Unlike several good plastic surgeons she does not have a good body of work and looking back i should have avoided this place because she literally made no positive impact on my nose or undereye and charged a significant amount of money. Beware that she will take fussy before pictures and have her present and print the projected before and after pictures. What she did to me after the surgery was claim she had a different idea in mind vs what we discussed. Im telling you, stay away!!! This place does not have talented doctors and they prey upon minorities like myself. We work too hard for our money to be tricked by snakeoil doctors. Again, look at how weak her social media is in terms of patient before and after and how limited her before and after results are within the office. Then consider other doctors who are tagging their happy patients and posting results daily. Again you have been warned!!!

How can one make critical decisions if they don't understand the underlying causes of a particular condition? My original doctor could not understand this concept and filtered me through like a chocolate on a conveyor belt assembly line with no ability to take responsibility for anything. As with most aspects of life, Dr. Albino's ability to perform well and also establish mutual respect and rapport with his patients is, imo, due to his love of his profession and well-being of his patients -- along with his willingness to continue to find solutions to any complication that arises. I've been through a lot of practices and Dr. A and all the members of his team (namely Kendy and Angel) whom I've interacted with, are above the rest . His skin care specialist, Martha, is spectacular, too.

I wanted a DIEP Flap and my surgical oncologist at Johns Hopkins said he was the best of the best. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with breast cancer again a couple of weeks later during the final checks to clear me for surgery. Dr. Albino went above and beyond to ensure my comfort during treatment by removing my old implants and replacing them with new, smaller ones on my request followed by a DIEP Flap about a year later after I fully recovered. All I can say is that my quality of life changed exponentially. I have the most amazing, natural and soft breasts again! I look and feel amazing. I'm comfortable in my own body. That's a testament to a truly gifted surgeon who listens to and empathizes with his patients to ensure their happiness with the ultimate outcome. His skill is only exceeded by his compassion for his patients. He treated a dear friend of mine who lost her cancer battle. He made arrangements to see her outside of normal office hours to reduce her risk of getting exposed to COVID. When she passed, he and his staff mourned her loss with her family and friends. I can't recommend Dr. Albino and his staff strongly enough for superlative breast surgery and care!

Prices fluctuated for no reason and without warning; my face work wore off a year later (was supposed to last a decade), giant scars under my ears; at a certain point, when you have spent more than a down payment on a nice house, they decided that they no longer wanted my money and literally refused to treat me. I am not an irrational person. I have a disability which makes exercise impossible and am on a medication which makes me gain weight without eating. Apparently Dr. Singh is tired of seeing me undressed or something. I also was wrapped so poorly after the third round of corrective lipo that I was forced to buy medical wraps online. Did I mention that the policy changed from providing a medical grade garment that you can't take off for 4 days to a week to "buy your own?" The prices vaccillate depending on mood. A small touch-up could be 3k. I have keloid scars all over the back of my legs. Areas of the body are randomly changed. And they decide when you are happy with the results by making you ashamed for not being grateful with your current body. The customer is not always right, basically. I don't see the danger in going back in for maintenance work (and I've always paid whatever random price that hour held without complaint) and am not expecting miracles. I am the literal perfect candidate for lipo. It is made for people who cannot lose weight with diet and exercise. I eat clean, exercise, and unfortunately have no metabolism thanks to lengthy steroid use due to a suppressed adrenal gland. So, if you want to feel like a bad person for asking for lipo, and to progressively be treated with less and less care and respect, this is for you! I'm not posting pictures because even after all the money I've spent, and my reasonable expectations (skin will not snap back, fine. Will not look 19, fine. Just want to be able to wear one smaller pants size), I don't feel comfortable with the scarring. I'd love to sling more money at them, but I'm not allowed. Oh, and yet they will not recommend a different practice. Dog in a manger?
