Absolutely do not recommend this place whatsoever. EXTREMELY unprofessional. Erik and his wife…read moreliterally only care about the business and it thriving, they did not care about my child. In fact, they kicked him out of the program due to not being able to attend 5 days a week sessions, where your kid is practically working a full time job, on top of starting pre-K. You guys should seriously consider taking your child here, or anywhere related to these tactics. Do your research on ABA and make sure your comfortable with their teachings, we may have just been handed a really bad card when we got offered Erik and his wife's "help", unfortunately I would not recommend anyone to take their kiddos to either of their locations. I am so traumatized by their actions and my son is now 5, thriving, without them. Your kid DOES NOT need them. Your kid needs YOU. Erik straight up said to me "your son can't come back because we need the insurance to be able to pay our employees for their time" Don't know if he knew how that would come across but HUGE red flags all around. I will keep going out of my way to refer people away from them and this place.

As a young boy he was aware of a young man bedridden due to cancer and spent his entire savings buying the latest play station, so the young man had entertainment while confined. On another occasion he took on the role of big brother to a pair of kids that lost their mom to cancer. In school Erik suffered with disabilities himself, teachers and counselors doubted his potential...Erik didn't! He not only went on to college and received excellent grades but chose the vocation of special education so that he could help kids that might not otherwise be allowed the opportunity to live up to their full potential. When his peers were earning more than him, he'd just smile and say "Money isn't the only form of payment. It's the kid's smiles and growth." Erik offers you and your child an opportunity you won't be able to find elsewhere. Because of his own experience he understands your child's needs, learning processes and difficulties that someone whose learning experiences only include classroom. Erik lived the process, and it has always been and is his passion. You just won't be able to find a better environment for your child. It doesn't exist. You will never regret becoming part of Step Up ABA. Congratulations on making the next positive "step" in your child's welfare.

Sadly, ACES is run by lazy, incompetent staff and management. We would show up for our scheduled appointment and they would look at us like a deer in headlights. So many scheduling problems. It seems as though the staff is there only to collect a paycheck. They are not at all invested in the wellbeing of their clients. My niece was spoken to and treated like a pet dog and not a human being. Needless to say, my sister pulled her niece out of this program.

We have using ACES services on and off for the last four years. Our son is diagnosed ASD autism and…read morethis is why we seek ABA services through ACES. We have had both good and bad experiences with ACES. In general they are very much like other similar services that offer "behavioral" therapy services. It is tough to sum up our experience in a review of this nature but I will say that you may or not get a great therapist to work with your child. Every child is different and every therapist is different. I think the key to success is to find one that matches your child well and to not be afraid to voice your cares, concerns and opinions the supervisors and BCBAs. I feel that ABA consulting firms in generally realize that ASD and autism are popular, revenue generating disorders and that they have found a niche in providing services for families. Bottom line, ACES have been good for us, not great. I realize this is the fist review for this company, and as time goes on I will most likely update and revise my review. Take your time but not too much time. Your child's success is the most important thing, just remember that. If things are not working for you, seek out more in life and what people have to offer. Do not settle on a therapy services just because they are the only ones offered in your area.and if they are, don't be afraid to speak your mind and tell them what you are looking for, for your child.remember that they are working for you and not the other way around, you should never feel like you are privileged to have their services. They should feel privileged to be your client, and should treat you as such, always.
