Anyone considering Wesly Garden for senior living should review all agreements and contracts with…read morean elder attorney. The sales people speak in subjective and vague terms and make no firm commitments but suggest several things that are not supported by the contract you are asked to sign. For those who rely on spoken word and don't read the fine print they are likely in for a surprise. Their contract is very one-sided leaning heavily in favor of Wesley Gardens and weak in committing to responsibilities and obligations Wesley Garden can be held to. The cost to get on their wait list is $2000 non-refundable. In our case we were led to believe that although they could make no promises it would be reasonable to think in terms of 9-12 months. After 8 months we were then told t was currently we should expect about 2 years from that date and again in Dec 24 the expected wait time was still 2 years, (36 months from start of wait list, reminding me of the Seinfeld Chinese restaurant episode). My mother had visited and liked what she saw and heard and did not want to go anywhere else. We had signed up for a 1 bedroom. Some months in, a different more expensive unit was offered which we declined. They argued that we were offered and declined a 1 BR unit we had requested, and was evidence of filling some vague obligation, in fact it was a one bedroom plus den. The offered unit was not what was requested and was declined as it was more than my mother need and outside of her budget. When asked what percentage of the people on their wait list actually ever get into Wesley Garden I was told they did not know but that numbers and those statistics didn't matter. In fact at the time there were 200 people on the wait list banking them up to $400,000 which their VP said was needed due to the cost of maintaining this wait list. It seems the wait list is a revenue source of its own. It is highly unlikely they would not know what percentage of people on their wait list ever were admitted, but it does make sense why they wouldn't want to disclose it. I will be requesting the Attorney General look into their deposit policy just to make sure it is as fair and justified as they claim it is. Make no mistake, they are in-line with their one-sided contract, and I am not suggesting they violate their own contract. But seem to rely on elderly listening to the words they speak and not looking closely at the fine print that their lawyers have protected Wesley Garden very well with. Anything you are told verbally by Wesley Garden should be taken with healthy skepticism and ensure that everything you are told is documented in the contract. Then thoroughly review and understand the contract you are asked to sign (preferably with an attorney). This should especially be done with the $150,000 or more deposit agreement that you must pay.

DO NOT GO HERE. ZERO stars, if I could give that low of a rating…read more We had a horrid experience in the Rehab Facility. No PT evaluation for 6 days after knee replacement of 83 year old mother. She just laid in bed until we could find an alternate facility. Executive Director, Mark Hansen, was rude and most unhelpful. No explanation for why the PT department could not get their job done. And no leader willing to step in and help.

I'm giving this facility two stars, and honestly that's being generous. The only reason it's not…read moreone star is because there are a handful of staff members who truly deserve recognition for the work they do every day. Before talking about the larger problems, I want to make sure the people who actually care for residents are acknowledged. Michael is one of the most compassionate CNAs I've encountered. He is sensitive, kind, and dependable. Residents feel safe with him because he treats people with patience and genuine respect. In an environment where people are often vulnerable and relying on others for help, that kind of empathy makes a real difference. Steven also deserves strong recognition. He is not afraid of hard work and consistently does his job well. What stands out most is the way he helps residents feel comfortable about their bodies during very vulnerable moments. Personal care situations can be awkward or embarrassing, but Steven handles them with professionalism and respect, which preserves people's dignity. Demetrius is another staff member who clearly works extremely hard. He is constantly moving--running up and down the halls at what feels like the speed of light trying to help wherever needed. The residents deserve better care, and the employees who work hard every day--like Michael, Steven, Demetrius, Wei, and Brandon--deserve far better support from the leaders

While I was there I noticed his call button go unanswered so I brought it to their attention. While I was there - they were fine - as soon as I left they started ignoring again. Things are just in such disrepair that he needs to call for assistance. The remote on his bed doesn't work. The toilet seat slides off the bowl... then there are the two screaming men across the hall. It's terrifying for anyone to listen to that. I just want them to fix their things, and answer The call buttons. I know patients abuse it, but in this case he got hurt because of the neglect.

They constantly ignore the call button and blatantly ignore the residents. They're on their phones constantly and have such an attitude! It was so heartbreaking when I overheard one of the nurses tell a plus sized patient that she is disgusting because of her size. On top of that she refused to help her get dressed because she could "do it herself". She had then apologized but only because I had informed one of the managers. It's sad to see almost all the residents being treated like they're animals. Tell me, would you feel comfortable seeing so many residents being yelled at and talked about as if they're not in the room? As if they aren't a human being? They place has now changed ceos or top managers I'm not sure, and I can tell they want the place to change for the better but like I have stated before, the nurses there do not care about the residents. I tried my best to help residents in any way I could even though it wasn't my job. Most of the residents would not receive their correct food which was such a big issue because of food allergies and difficulties with solid food. There has been many times where patients wouldn't get their food at all! And the nurses would refuse to get them what they asked or get their correct food. There needs to be more activities for residents who cannot attend in person groups! It's sad when I would walk by rooms and patients would be staring out the window because they were tired of watching tv all day. I can tell the activity department only liked the residents who were able to attend the group in person. There is so many residents who would complain to me about not being included! Lastly, I advise if you do send your loved ones here to keep in contact with them to find out what goes on. There has been so many times where staff just like to do whatever they want when visitors aren't around.

I was wheel-chair bound for 5 years and then had 2 knee replacement surgeries over the past year and the kind people at Olympic Sports & Spine in Covington, WA were absolutely crucial to my recovery. The amazing staff were able to coordinate my therapy appointments with my mother's appointments (yep, she had PT, too) and resolve issues with my difficult insurance company. And it's so nice to go to a place where people say hello with a smile and know your name. I had the privilege to work with several physical therapists and even the manager. When I went to PT after my first knee replacement, my non-surgical knee wouldn't bend. So the therapists would sit on the floor while I was on the bike and would pedal one side of the bike with their hands so that I could pedal the other side with my surgical leg. They adapted exercises and came up with creative treatments for my surgical leg because my non-surgical leg couldn't bend at all. When I went back to them after my second knee replacement, they helped me achieve range of motion on both of my knees that exceeded my surgeon's expectations. I will be forever grateful to this wonderful group of people who not only helped me walk again but also gave me hope and kept me encouraged the entire way.
