My family was saying it's a common thing with young kids; I replied that it be common but it doesn't have to be the "norm". In my culture, therapy is seen as a negative and for your child to see someone for that it's not normal. I think it's absolutely normal and why not give it a shot then determine if it's the right then for your child. Every child that comes here is super excited for their session and never cries while leaving their parents for the 30-45 mins

I took my son River to her at 3 months old for infant torticollis and after only three visits (1 hour each) his neck was in alignment and no longer tilting to one side. I would recommend all moms of newborns come see Dr. Hart for this very gentle massage-like therapy to release any tightness their infant probably is carrying around in their neck from birth. I came in and asked all the questions I possibly could to make sure it would work out and ended up scheduling and moving my referral over, which was not easy to get from the first place. Two weeks later, I came in for my appointment which lasted almost 1.5hrs. The therapist recommended 2x/wk and I agreed. She walked me to the front desk where I'm told they can't accommodate me because they're booked out for weeks and I could maybe get in ONE day between then and the next available. I think if they would've worded it that way when I asked all the questions or somehow made me aware that they'd be able to get in me in for the initial appointment soon but treatments wouldn't start until weeks later. Then I would've kept looking. I then a few days later called and asked to speak to the owner, who called me back and was everything but helpful. Her level of sarcasm towards the situation by making comments such as; I'm sorry I couldn't be 100% fully staffed for you, are totally unnecessary and unprofessional. After explaining to her how unsatisfactory my experience had been and now I'm having to look for a new place, and how I didn't thought it wasn't fair that they were still going to bill my insurance knowing they couldn't accommodate from the beginning, I realized she didn't care to help or alleviate the situation, I gave up. I feel like this place lies to people just to get them in for that first appointment since it's the one they can bill/collect on the most and that's all they're after. They don't actually care about the patients or their treatment. I manage a few clinics and if my staff ever scheduled someone knowing we wouldn't be able to accommodate after the initial appointment, not only I, but all my providers would do everything possible to make sure they get on the schedule the amount of times were recommending until the schedule allows for more appointments. Either stay during lunch, come in earlier or leave later but we'd make sure our patient is taken care of. This place didn't even try and that's after I spoke with three people including the owner. And yes, after all that, they still billed my insurance because "I still got the evaluation" An evaluation that would determine my treatment frequency which they couldn't accommodate. Which if they would've told me from the get go, said evaluation would've never happened.

Let me start by saying that we ended up not doing any actual therapy here my review and rating is…read moreentirely related to my experience trying find out if my child needed OT First off, I contacted their office a few days after my doctor had sent over our referral. I was told they didn't have a record of it but would look through the new referrals and if they couldn't find it they would contact our doctor and then call me back. After over a week of not hearing from them I called back. This time the person in charge of referrals was not available, but the person on the phone said they'd have them call me back the next day. Again no call back. The third time I called, there was still no record of our referral and I'm again told that they'll look for it. Finally I get a call, they have the referral. Now I need to fill out the intake form, would I like it emailed or mailed. There is no mention of the fact that they won't even schedule us for an eval until they receive the intake form. So I say mailing it is fine. It's not until a couple of days later when I call back to schedule an appointment that I found out about the intake form. So I wait for it to come in the mail, fill it out and bring it to the office. Before I schedule the evaluation appointment I very specifically asked the front desk person if my child would have to have a full evaluation because she has a very specific issue and 90% of the questions on the intake didn't apply to her as she's behaving in a normal manner for her age, and I knew she didn't need a full eval. I was reassured that the therapist would only test what was needed based on the issues outlined in the intake form which is why they have to have it in advance. THEN I'm told it'll be another 3 weeks before we can get an appointment. So 2 months from the time we were initially referred we finally have an evaluation appointment. We walk in to the office at 8am and there is no one in sight and I have no idea if anyone even knows we're there. After awhile the therapist comes out to talk to me. After asking me a few questions basically tells there isn't really anything they can do from an OT standpoint to help with my daughter's issues but she's going to do a few tests just to make sure, and I'm asked to fill out more paperwork, similar to the intake form which obviously was not reviewed prior to my visit, but in a slightly different format. The therapist then does a full evaluation (exactly what I had made sure wouldn't be needed ) and as expected my child had no issues in any of those areas. So to recap, I spent several hours making phone calls, filling out papers, and taking my 3 kids to an hour long appointment only to be told that they can't help with the issue, that I clearly explained multiple times to them, that my child is having. Basically they wasted my time so that they could have an excuse to bill my insurance. I will say that the therapist was nice and seemed to do a good job. So I guess if you're good at jumping through hoops or are just desperate for someone to help with your kid's issues and therefore willing to do anything to get help (and I've been there and totally get it ) then you might try the Amanda Saliba Pediatric Therapy center, but if you are able to go somewhere else I would highly recommend doing so!

I started therapy with TMS - at first it worked, but when switched to the other side of my head, it made things went wrong. I became wildly suicidal and my depression got much worse. I understand that nothing is perfect, but my objection here was that you see very little of the DR. I told the assistant what was going on, and got a "well, sometimes this happens." The Dr should have been alerted that instant. The Dr. needs to be more involved, I felt as though getting new patients was more important than the seeing existing patients. The problems this created are still with me today. I do not recommend this because of that risk
