My child was able to express himself more and I can understand him better now. I am super grateful for the therapists that work here. I recommended every parent to come here even if they have a slight doubt of coming. I didn't think my son needs speech therapy at first but his preschool teacher recommended it, since she was able to spot out that when he pronounce certain vowels it's off a bit. My family was saying it's a common thing with young kids; I replied that it be common but it doesn't have to be the "norm". In my culture, therapy is seen as a negative and for your child to see someone for that it's not normal. I think it's absolutely normal and why not give it a shot then determine if it's the right then for your child. Every child that comes here is super excited for their session and never cries while leaving their parents for the 30-45 mins

As far as the facility itself: all rooms are private with private bathroom, the entire facility is clean, and the walls are filled with tasteful artworks. I found the nursing staff, including the aids, to be of excellent quality. Everyone was kind and caring. As for PT and OT, i had sessions every day except Sunday, and they were tailored to my needs - to get my lost strength back so that I could go home and be able to safely function there. The food was also surprisingly good. You're given a weekly menu where you can circle what you want or there are lists of things that are always available and you can write those in as an alternative. Their salads are beautiful. There are daily activities that you can partake in if you are so inclined. If you can't go home and you need a place to recover and regain strength, this is a very good place to be.

Anyone considering Wesly Garden for senior living should review all agreements and contracts with…read morean elder attorney. The sales people speak in subjective and vague terms and make no firm commitments but suggest several things that are not supported by the contract you are asked to sign. For those who rely on spoken word and don't read the fine print they are likely in for a surprise. Their contract is very one-sided leaning heavily in favor of Wesley Gardens and weak in committing to responsibilities and obligations Wesley Garden can be held to. The cost to get on their wait list is $2000 non-refundable. In our case we were led to believe that although they could make no promises it would be reasonable to think in terms of 9-12 months. After 8 months we were then told t was currently we should expect about 2 years from that date and again in Dec 24 the expected wait time was still 2 years, (36 months from start of wait list, reminding me of the Seinfeld Chinese restaurant episode). My mother had visited and liked what she saw and heard and did not want to go anywhere else. We had signed up for a 1 bedroom. Some months in, a different more expensive unit was offered which we declined. They argued that we were offered and declined a 1 BR unit we had requested, and was evidence of filling some vague obligation, in fact it was a one bedroom plus den. The offered unit was not what was requested and was declined as it was more than my mother need and outside of her budget. When asked what percentage of the people on their wait list actually ever get into Wesley Garden I was told they did not know but that numbers and those statistics didn't matter. In fact at the time there were 200 people on the wait list banking them up to $400,000 which their VP said was needed due to the cost of maintaining this wait list. It seems the wait list is a revenue source of its own. It is highly unlikely they would not know what percentage of people on their wait list ever were admitted, but it does make sense why they wouldn't want to disclose it. I will be requesting the Attorney General look into their deposit policy just to make sure it is as fair and justified as they claim it is. Make no mistake, they are in-line with their one-sided contract, and I am not suggesting they violate their own contract. But seem to rely on elderly listening to the words they speak and not looking closely at the fine print that their lawyers have protected Wesley Garden very well with. Anything you are told verbally by Wesley Garden should be taken with healthy skepticism and ensure that everything you are told is documented in the contract. Then thoroughly review and understand the contract you are asked to sign (preferably with an attorney). This should especially be done with the $150,000 or more deposit agreement that you must pay.

Health Point Kent has always the worst service. They never answer calls (not to mention no reminder…read morecalls). Wait hours on the line always last 20mins only because you decided to hang up. I went in there last month, for my daughter's check up, waited 20mins to be called by Medical Assistant. And between the Medical Assistant and the actual doctor, waited about 50mins. Yesterday, went in again for my daughter's vaccine 2nd dose, waited 20 mins for nothing after the receptionist said I was all checked in. I asked them after 20mins for waiting so long, and only after then they call us because they didn't know if before hand. I scheduled that 4 weeks ahead with the reminder card that they sent home with ,and been told that we had no appointment scheduled. One time, we went to see my daughter's doctor, and checked in, they made us wait at the wrong floor of the building the entire half an hour, not telling us where to go. The worst service I ever have. During the covid time, I used to think they are short-staffed. Now they are fully staffed and service is still not yet improved. Only reason I keep going there is because of the doctor, so patient and knowledgeable with the pediatric needs. The management needs to do some thing about it.

Elena and her staff have taken excellent care of her from day one. It is clear that Elena and the staff care a great deal about the residents they care for and do an excellent job. What appealed to me from the fist step I took in the home is how clean, orderly, spacious and pleasant it is. I knew that my mom would like it. She is looking much healthier and happier since she has been there. I come by for quick visits and have also brought my brother and sister and their families for visits and each time we feel welcome. A Nurse Practitioner visits monthly and he and Elena are open to discussing my mom's health needs and taking a team approach to dealing with them. Elena makes excellent suggestions - and follows up on them. They also have a hair stylist visit and provide nail care. All of this means a great deal to me. Elena is amazing, genuinely caring and engaged in providing respectful and effective home care to our elders. She has hired incredible staff. Every time I visit they are moving around either spending time with the residents, providing care or cleaning. The care providers seem happy which means to me that they are being treated well and supported. My mom and dad get a better ratio of care providers compared to a skilled nursing facility and it is more cost effective and feels like they are home. I researched adult family homes and the five star ratings here are justified. Elena's communication is fabulous. She had a team of great care providers. She and her team treat my parents with the respect they deserve having survived 80 years of age and 57 years of marriage. Elena is very open to individual needs and preferences. My mom gets a personal bed bath every day and has not looked better in the past few years. My sister and I are so relieved and grateful. We are always welcomed into the house and Elena has been responsive to all communications. A++++++++.

I'm a writer, and I couldn't write at my desk, I was stuck in my bed with my laptop for three weeks. I finally went to my general practitioner for a script, and selected OnPoint because of their reviews. I've moved here from Southern California. I've worked with numerous physical therapists and chiropractors over the years and OnPoint is BY FAR, the best I've ever worked with. Why? First, they got me back in my chair faster than any other PT or Chiropractor ever has. Next, I loved how they have a patient portal that will send me the exercises we have done so that I can download them, or virtually see them again, so I can properly do them at home. Chris, my physical therapist, taught me how to get myself back into alignment if I'd only "slightly" screwed myself over, LOL. He knew REALLY GOOD exercises to provide me, and the on hands manipulation he did, did NOT aggravate my pain, instead relieved it. (Yes, I've been to PT's who had hurt me in the past...sigh.) I cannot recommend OnPoint highly enough. - Katie
