She treated that first session as if it would be the first of many. She took a couple pages of notes, spent time really trying to diagnose what the issue is, and even sent me home with some great exercises and homework. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more I had a stroke and my DR sent me here. I called a month ago and scheduled and gave all my info and insurance. They said I was FINE. Today I was dropped off by hopelink since I can't drive. And I went in to my appointment. Im not able to drive at the moment. I walked in the door. No greetings or warm smile. Just some person that looked like he was in high-school or just graduated that very very rudely said "ummm who are you?" Then wouldn't let me walk over to him and put up his hand to stop me from coming closer. I told him my name. I am disabled and it was very awkward. I wasn't loud enough apparently so he got annoyed and sighed frustrated with me and wheeled his laptop closer to me. I showed him the text they sent me confirming my appointment. He sighed annoyed again at me. Then looked at his schedule. Then he said he saw a note saying my insurance was out of network. Im on medcaide so this didn't make sense . They told me on the phone that it was fine. They never called me and told me prior to my appointment. The kids kept being RUDE and could care less that I was stranded there for the next hour to stand outside waiting for my pick up ride. This is the worst physical therapy with the rudest teenager working here.

Back about a month or two ago, Aetna & UW Medicine were having prolonged contract negotiations that…read moreseemingly wouldn't have any settlement in a timely manner. During that time I had to look for medical care elsewhere and discovered Pacific Medical. My initial contact was with a receptionist (name ?) who was the most pleasant receptionist I believe I've ever met. She was so helpful and arranged an appointment for me to meet a new PCP (Primary Care Physician). She transferred all my medical records from UW Medicine making the process painless. Did I mention the receptionist was so very pleasant? After my initial meeting with my new PCP, I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Pacific Medical. The medical facility is really close by my apartment, so traveling back and forth is not a problem. Lots of parking, with about half dozen Handicap parking stalls directly out from the front door of the clinic. Perhaps the time spent with negotiations between Aetna & UW Medicine was my good luck.

I was extremely nervous, but once we started talking, he was such a kind and caring man, that my nerves just faded. I felt like he listened to me and we worked out the best possible scenario for my needs. One thing I really appreciate about him is that he sat down and talked with me without typing. Every doctor I have been to in the past types their notes as they talk to me and I don't really feel heard. I am very grateful that I found him and I also want to say how appreciative I am of his nurse, Caroline, for reaching out to me personally the week prior to see how I was doing. I can't remember any prior doctor's office staff reaching out to me like that and she spent a considerable amount of time talking to me. I felt so much better after our chat! I definitely believe Dr. McLaughlin when he says Pac Med puts their patients first.

I was finally recommended to go to Dr. Davis and the very first visit, she spent close to 2 hours with me checking out things that no other doctor has checked. She has put me on a medication called Carbidopa/Levodopa which has helped. She let me know that I have 100% Dystonia which no other doctor could figure out. She is also recommending for me to see one of the best Neuro-Surgeons Dr. Ko at UW for a consultation to see if I qualify for DBS (deep brain stimulation) therapy. Dr. Davis has helped me more than any other doctor and now I have hope again that my balance can be restored and not have the constant worry about falling. She is the best!
