Go local indi cafes! The latte was divine, fresh ground espresso, perfect temp milk and a lovely leaf on the top for presentation. The decor is wonderful. Tables and chairs, benches, a small couch and arm chair... this place screams come in and chill out with us. Local art decorate the walls, and they have a collage photo frames with what I imagine are their regular customers (I'm totally stealing this idea by the way).

I loved the colourful artwork, ample seating, and lots of natural light. We were visiting at the end of October so it was quite cold but I imagine in the summer months they can roll up the large bay doors for fresh air and coffee on the patio. There were lots of interesting wares and goods to look at for sale while I awaiting my pumpkin spiced latte. Of most interest to me were the coffee bean plants! I had literally never seen coffee beans growing before and if I lived here, I would want one of these for my desk at work. I now must hunt and see if I can find these in Edmonton, AB. This looked like the place to go and hang out while working or catching up with a friend. The chalkboard discussion topics wall was a fun and interactive touch and placed just right (where you're hanging out waiting for your beverage to be handed over). They had some signage up about fair trade which made me want to dig a little deeper. Turns out that Just Us! is Canada's first fair trade coffee roaster (founded in 1995) and a co-op. We were somewhat time constrained, so just went for the salted caramel, served in a home made cone and a generous scoop to boot. Quite superb! A must visit on any summer trip to the delightful town of Wolfville.
