It is a solid market all around and serves multiple needs. The store is divided up into two halves. One half has oriental decore, knickknacks, clothes, kitchenware, and incense. The other half is a solid selection of oriental food from a variety of countries. I do a fair amount of Asian cooking, specifically Thai, and Mabuhay had everything that I needed! They have all sorts of food for cooking. Sauces, curry paste, flavorings, noodles, spice packs, packaged ramen--all the standards. The food is competitively priced, which is great for how remote they are! They even had a pack of dried shiitake mushrooms when I could not find any fresh ones at Walmart. They have a modest freezer and refrigerator section--it's small but covers the basics (fish and the like). They have a fairly wide selection of oriental candy in various quantities. The basics in your grocery needs can be counted on for them to have unless some unusual situation is going on. The variety on selection is okay. I mean it kind of is the situation you deal with when shopping in a rural community. The produce is pretty fresh as well as the meat department. The liquor store is decent as well. Plenty of variety on hard alcohol or ingredients for mixed drinks. They have a craft beer selection and while one would expect it to be small they do have some Wyoming based breweries which is nice to get a hold of for a four pack or six pack. As one would expect don't expect a huge variety on ethnic foods like Asian condiments or things like that. Again the basics are covered but nothing to specific. Despite what may sound like a review with criticism it's more a preparation of what to expect or not expect. This grocery store is truly vital to the Platte Valley without getting yourself into a lengthy drive to go to another town outside the valley. This is the area where I grew up and while changes have happened to this building and ownership changed over the decades it's still kind of a magnet to run into old acquaintances.
