All the sandwiches were named after Old Hollywood celebrities. Don't be put off by the antique store vibe, the food is delicious and the owner and help are so sweet. There are only five tables that I could see, each seating 3-4 people. We chose Back in Time because I wanted to try a muffuletta while I was in Louisiana. They did not disappoint! Their homemade olive spread was a delight. I wish they sold it by the jar and it would have come back to Oklahoma with me. While there we saw lots of repeat customers come in, which is always a great recommendation. Thank you, Back in Time, for such a great meal experience.

This is my first ever yelp review…read more And my first time eating here Let's start off with their menu prices on Facebook (which is where the web brought me 2 or 3 times) the prices are extremely out dated First and foremost I ordered the blackened steak and shrimp pasta Which I thought was $18.95 The steak was cooked in the microwave (you can't tell me no better There was no "blackened" to be found anywhere on that pitiful "steak" ~ It was barely seasoned And the price was 10 more dollars when I went to the register to pick up my food to go So between the prices and the food I won't be back this was very very disappointing I figured this well established restaurant in town I wouldn't have to double check my food, Everything was bagged up and tied up so I took it under the impression that it was good to go. There was nothing good to go about this dish. I would've went back but they were closed by the time I got home there's nothing worse than working a 10 hour day to come home to $35 worth of trash Wasted time wasted money :(

We stopped in for lunch while passing through Eunice, Louisiana, I love this small town where it…read moreseems time has almost stopped in a lot of ways, it definitely has that small town vibe that still embraces the cajun culture. We didn't have any particular place in mind for lunch knowing that there are a few great options but wanted to try a place where the locals eat so here we are at Ruby's. This town has a lot of history and Ruby's Cafe has been a big part of that history. Parking is pretty easy in this part of the historic downtown district so it was only a matter of crossing the street to get to the entrance, this small cafe was pretty busy but we were able to seat ourselves without a wait although arriving here a little after noon some of the daily plate lunch specials were already sold out- but we managed after our friendly server let us know what was still available. We ordered the pork tasso and sausage with rice and gravy with candied yams and sweet slaw and chicken fried steak with a spicy brown gravy on the side with corn and again an order of candied yams. The food here was amazing, a little like eating at momma's place, this is legit cajun fare and if you haven't had a chance to sample this unique cuisine this would be a great place to start in my opinion. The sweet tea is freshly brewed and the service is outstanding and definitely a place I'll return to when in the area or within a reasonable driving distance - this place is definitely one to bookmark...

I walked up to the counter as I had visited before with a friend, this time I was alone and I ordered the seasoned cracklins, instead of the chicken cracklins. They were good though. I was trying to obtain assistance from the cashier about the boudin burger, she seemed very monotone and I felt like she did not want to assist, just hurry up and buy type of attitude. I think they assume that everyone knows what they want when they walk up to the counter, it's okay to be polite and knowledgeable about your products enough to want to explain them to the customer so we can make a better decision. I had two friends in line after me on this visit and they had the same horrible experience. These days no one acts like they want to go to work or be in the service industry.
