We cannot say enough wonderful things about More Than a Gym! Our baby recently graduated from PT,…read moreand we are beyond grateful for the care and support we received. Our baby is a preemie, and we came to MTAG with concerns about flat head and torticollis. Wilson really struggled with tummy time, and as new parents, we knew we needed professional guidance and reassurance. From just the very first session, we saw beautiful progress. Wilson became stronger and more comfortable, and he no longer cries during tummy time -- something we never thought we'd say! Our physical therapist, Erica, is truly amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and so good at what she does. Erica was always patient, kind, and gentle with Wilson, and she took the time to explain everything to us so we felt confident continuing exercises at home. Mondays quickly became something we looked forward to because of how comfortable and supported she made us feel. We are so thankful for Erica and the entire MTAG team. If you're looking for a place that truly cares about your child and delivers real results, we highly recommend More Than a Gym!

More than a gym, changed my son's life for the better. My son was not hitting his gross motor…read moremilestones around 9 months old so I decided to have more than a gym evaluate him to see what he needed to work on. More than a gym is a really great place. It's clean, the sessions always run on time and the physical therapists were outstanding with helping my son. Mikayla and Erica took the time to learn about my son and how to help him with a person centered approach. They both showed my son kindness, and you can tell that they truly care and take pride in having their clients succeed. When my son walked independently for the first time, it was in a session with Mikayla and it was the most exciting thing watching my son walk by himself with the people who helped him achieve this right next to him. Yes, more than a gym has a firm cancellation policy, for the reason that many people are on a waiting list. The cancellation policy is posted and very clear before you start services. The receptionist Jen was outstanding with helping us reschedule if we needed to or calling me to see if I ever wanted to add an extra session. I am so thankful for more than a gym for helping my son reach his gross motor goals. I highly recommend more than a gym for your child's Physical Therapy needs- we truly had a great experience

My mom was a resident for nearly 3 years. My dad only lasted 6 months. I was not legally in charge…read moreof their care, but I visited almost daily. During my mom's time there she was beaten up. Sadly, it was not the first injury encountered there, nor the last (my camera roll is heartbreaking). Most went unnoticed by staff, yet all were conveniently deemed to be "self-inflicted" once brought to light. Visits found mom either in bed where she was left unattended for hours and/or dirty (clothing, hands, face, nails and usually her diaper). Diapers went unchecked for hours, and if I alerted staff near shift change or during lunch/break the delay was worse. Her room was usually dirty, and roaches were a common find. Mom ultimately died from an abscessed tooth and unfortunately hospice was also done there. Mom had bedsores on her back and her heels. She had roaches crawl across her death bed. She ran out of oxygen on more than one occasion. I had to fight to get standard prescribed hospice drugs administered. Mom was dirty, smelled awful and getting the attention of staff was nearly impossible. My dad died days after he was transferred due to his "violent nature." Dad pushed a resident who would consistently enter his room, or my mom's, to take stuff or lay in their beds; the same resident who hit me in the chest (documented); and yes, the same one believed by management to have beaten up my mom shortly after my dad passed. Amazingly he remains there today. My dad was transferred to Plainview Hospital to "get his meds adjusted." Upon arrival he was heavily sedated, and within days transferred to a hospice facility and died. My dad was walking, talking, eating and coherent the day he was transferred to the hospital. Then within a couple of days, he was gone. No one really knows what goes on in this facility. There are no cameras in the residents' common areas. The nurses' station is situated where nurses cannot see into any resident hallways or rooms. Even the dayrooms, where most residents are left all day, do not have any security cameras. Loved one's safety and security is at risk. Residents' families are not allowed to place cameras because of NYS law. That needs to change. I beg admin and the owners to take steps to improve the care given to and the safety of residents. I encourage any organization that visits or reviews the facility to do a more thorough job and look deeper. Government needs to do more to protect the residents and provide a way for families to communicate issues privately and not to the possible detriment of residents. As it stands, desire for profits outdo resident care; government turns a blind eye, and "audits" are done during agreed upon times and look at minimal case files. I mostly encourage anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere; and, if there visit often and be an advocate for your loved one.

Dr. Yohan Lee has been an amazing addition to my team working with me since I've been diagnosed…read morewith a very large herniated disc at L5-S1. He runs pretty close to schedule. I think I had to wait maybe 5 minutes. Nothing major at all. His bedside manor is great. He's easy to talk to. He listens to me and truly seems to care about my concerns. He explained things to me in a way that was very easy to understand during my consultation. Today, during my epidural, he was great at keeping me calm and talked me through each step of the way. When the procedure was over, I was shocked at how quickly and flawless the entire procedure was. I actually said, "That's it?" Dr. Lee and his team were fantastic! Thank you! Prior to meeting with Dr. Lee, I met with Dr. Koutsoumbelis. I left one orthopedic group on LI to switch to Dr. K who was highly recommended to me by a top PT on Long Island. Dr. K added me to his Friday schedule within an hour of hearing about my case. Since I was a last minute addition to his schedule, I wasn't sure what to expect. Not once did I feel rushed during our appointment. He has a great bedside manor. He had me laughing during one of the most stressful days of my life. He was truly optimistic and therefore I felt optimistic. He connected with me (he skis and I snowboard) and even took time to tell me about mountains I should check out when I'm in Colorado this April. It's rare to be able to connect with a doctor. They usually want you in and out of their office ASAP. That wasn't my experience with Dr. K and Dr. Lee for that matter. He's progressive and smart. He instantly put me on a very helpful regimen. I left Dr. K's office feeling hopeful and motivated to get started. Overall, I am very pleased with both Dr. Lee and Dr. K. I am glad that I transitioned from another orthopedic group to Central Orthopedic. I highly recommend both doctors. They make a great team.

KESHNER..saw me ..some xrays taken ..no fracture,,asked me to make some movements with my hand ..and then asked me if there was a bruise!!??..then he said ,,if pain does not go away in 14days to go back..no medication..no injection...during those 14 days the pain was in and out ..excruciating at times and not so bad other times..14 days passed ..i was in a quandary whether to go back. .finally on the 20th day or so went back paid the 25$copayment upfront like be4 ..he again asked me to make some movements with my hand ,,,and asks me if i need an injection(cortison??)..i said is that a 100pc cure ..he said not sure..i asked him why he could not give me that shot on my first visit.as a result i spent 20 days in some sort of pain\discomfort//and in addition had to pay again the 25$$..i refused to take the shot and walked out.while leaving i asked him if he takes new patients??(does he understand sarcasm???)...bottom line he has no idea what he is doing.i will check with medicare etc to find out about their billing ...my addl.25 $$could have been better spent on charity!!!!do not go to dr keschner..first visit he appeared very chirpy and in good humor..notthe second time ..as if my pain of 20 days got transferred to him!!!.....hope to see the DR again...but not in 651 old country rd.just as an addl info ..i am retired CPA.my wife retired from nassau community college ..2 daughters..one is a doctor and the other a lawyer...we are not from the streets and definitely can make out the difference between rational and irrational...or good and bad!!!end of monologue
