And each one seems to have different ideas about what you should be doing which can contradict each other. They make you pay $15 per session without even knowing what insurance will cover. The bigger issue is that they like to limit the amount of sessions even though insurance says otherwise in order to push their expensive personal training.

The exceptional experience then begins with the most friendly of staff including Will and Taylor who are always most willing to lend a helping hand in making your P/T experience a good one. And then there is my therapist, Lauren, who was "right on " with her diagnosis as to what was contributing to my discomfort after my corrective knee surgery. Her P/T treatments and subsequent progress even impressed my surgeon who was pleasantly surprised with the lack fo swelling and muscle definition some 3+ weeks post surgery. And then there is Mike. In speaking with Lauren during one of our most recent sessions, I indicated that I may have what is commonly known as night vertigo. She proceeded to inform Mike who indicated to me that he would like to perform a test / maneuver to confirm my case of "night vertigo". After the roller coaster of a test which did in fact elicit a dizzy spell he indicated to me that in addition to being a test, teh maneuver was also considered a treatment. Lo and behold, that very evening was the first night in while where I did not experience a dizzy spell........if effective therapy is what you seek and what you need......this is the place........even better than the effective therapy provided, the entire staff is , quite simply put, "TOP NOTCH"....

From day one I have felt the improved difference and relief. All the PT's really know their craft and were great. My main therapist Joe Grignoli was terrific. Through these weeks he worked with me with his own personal touch and undivided attention. As he really puts a lot of care into his work, I was very comfortable with his expertise and particular techiniques. I would highly recommend Performax, they will get you up and going again. This location in Deer Park is immaculate, modern and everyone is very nice and attentive. Needless to say my shoulder has improved drastically and I am feeling up to par again. They work in sync like a band that's been playing together for years, lapping around and making sure all patients are engaged and progressing through the various treatments/exercises in their respective treatment plans. I came here in August with a ruptured Achilles that I had surgery to repair, and walked out (literally!) just a few months later, and far earlier than the surgeon had expected. That's a true testament to the time and attention everyone here gave to me, referring frequently to my chart and the well-taken notes, gradually adding weight and/or repetitions on, and mixing in new exercises when appropriate. I also really appreciated the overall vibe here. Good music is always playing (could be 90s grunge, pop country, or classic rock, depends on who takes over the playlist!) staff are all friendly with the patients and with each other, and there's a great mix of folks in here to chat with. The walls are decorated with staff photos, pics of their kids, etc. and little league team photos from the teams they sponsor! Short version: It's about as fun as physical therapy can be! I am so appreciative to everyone here, and although I hope I never need PT again, I'd return here without hesitation! Thank you!

She has been working with my son for over 12 months and when we first started coming here he was not even sitting independently. He is now confidently walking and running and even jumping. I can very honestly say the progress my son has made would not have happened if it wasn't for Dr. Kelly. She is amazingly sweet and the entire staff at the practice was very genuine and kind and worked with us and our insurance company to ensure we got the best care. Never could get healthy until it was recommended I come and meet with Chris and his team. They were awesome. My son was back in a few month pain free and stronger then ever. My daughter also some sports related issues as well, again, she came back stronger the ever. They are amazing. The focus to detail when rehabbing is fantastic. They are constantly progressing as the injury heals. I had a knee replacement 6 months ago and I'm back to almost 100% better than I was before the operation. I have full range and my leg is stronger than it's been in years. Feels better than the "good" knee and I'm back to playing golf. Can't say enough good things about them. They completely understand and implement the physiology and biomechanics associated with getting back to better than before. Plus it is a fun place to go work out and get better. Not sure what the other people are talking about. Don't waste your time going anywhere else.

Ginny, the medical secretary, communicated with my auto insurer and got approval for all PT sessions. Alex is my PT. He read and interpreted my MRI and tailored my sessions to the exact area of the problem. Ray, the PT Assistant, and Angelo, the PT Aide, administer most of the exercises that Alex prescribes. Alex does some. Alex is thorough, articulate and direct. I highly recommend him as a Physical Therapist.

It was pretty scary at first, specially being at the care of others and having to trust that they know what they're doing while being afraid of anything happening to you, again. Like falling or getting it more damaged. But the girls there have had a great deal of empathy, & have been very caring. They have a lot of patience and have cheered me on throughout my recovery journey, which has been an emotional rollercoaster as well. Today I'm walking with a boot, no pain as of yet. Soon to transition to a shoe. Sometime next week. This is the Wantagh location*
