All their therapists, headed by Robert Lassig, MSPT, were knowledgeable in what I needed to get me on my road to recovery. They never pushed me but let me gradually get to a place of healing. I have recommended Long Island Physical Therapy to many friends who have also expressed how happy they were with their services. They treat you like a family, not like a patient. I highly recommend them. They are a cut above other physical therapy places where you are treated like a number & are left waiting. At L.I. Physical Therapy, you are doted on & treated very special. I called prior to making the appointment and spoke directly to the Dr who helped me to make a same day appointment. I arrived about 10 mins early, filled out some forms and was seen right after. The Dr did a consult with my where he collected history about my conditions and then developed a plan of care. The facility is clean and each area is sectioned off with a curtain. First he worked on my face, manually massaging it and stressing knots that I had in the tissues to release tension and inflammation. Next, he addressed my feet applying the stem treatment for 15 mins and then doing a manual massage. This was painful but was affirming. I made appointments for future visits and was out of there. Two cisits later, I'm so glad I found him.

They work in sync like a band that's been playing together for years, lapping around and making sure all patients are engaged and progressing through the various treatments/exercises in their respective treatment plans. I came here in August with a ruptured Achilles that I had surgery to repair, and walked out (literally!) just a few months later, and far earlier than the surgeon had expected. That's a true testament to the time and attention everyone here gave to me, referring frequently to my chart and the well-taken notes, gradually adding weight and/or repetitions on, and mixing in new exercises when appropriate. I also really appreciated the overall vibe here. Good music is always playing (could be 90s grunge, pop country, or classic rock, depends on who takes over the playlist!) staff are all friendly with the patients and with each other, and there's a great mix of folks in here to chat with. The walls are decorated with staff photos, pics of their kids, etc. and little league team photos from the teams they sponsor! Short version: It's about as fun as physical therapy can be! I am so appreciative to everyone here, and although I hope I never need PT again, I'd return here without hesitation! Thank you!
