Last July, I opted to have a Prostatectomy instead of radiation & hormone treatments. I just didn't want to be looking over my shoulder the rest of my life. Dr. Hu and his entire team (shout out to Christina Sangiorgi, NP) flawlessly saw me through the process and a year later I know I made the right decision. I never really felt any pain or discomfort, never really had any incontinence issues and now I'm pretty much back to normal, thanks to Dr. Hu. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone even considering a Prostatectomy (and I have). As far as I'm concerned, Dr. Hu basically saved my life, and I am forever grateful.

I came to Bernard after having tried another physical therapist and making minimal progress, as well as some personal trainers who were knowledgeable but unreliable. I had been dealing with hip, ankle and knee issues since May 2021, and have made more progress working with Bernard for the past 5-6 months than I did with the previous physical therapist and personal trainers combined. Within the first session alone I received new advice on clear next steps, lifestyle tips, and challenging but manageable exercises. Some particular details that have made it a great experience - Scheduling/Communication: have never had any scheduling issues, responsive to emails when I've had questions or feedback on home exercises, responsive and adaptive to in-session feedback on exercises Sessions: strength based sessions that make you feel capable again, tailored toward how your body feels that particular session, 1:1 session Insurance: smooth process so far, any insurance logistics are settled upfront before starting your first session Space: clean and spacious, good music or sports TV, everything you need for a good strength based physical therapy session Home exercises: manageable and realistic for people trying to fit in home PT exercises into their daily lives

Surprisingly, everything went so smoothly and I couldn't ask for two better ladies to have shared this journey with. Enisa the Patient Coordinator is very understanding, professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. I value her great communication and efficiency with appointments and EEG scheduling. It was always a pleasure to see her infectious smile everyday I entered the office. Smailee the MERT Tech is extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to and she has the patience of a saint. Even when my son wasn't on his best behavior she was able to complete the sessions. I loved how she provided toys and entertainment for his comfort and she calmly worked at his pace. She arrived to work jolly, on time and she was unbothered by the mess of popcorn and snacks he threw on the floor. When he cried she was so tender and provided much consolation and it meant so much. My son has made great progress since getting MERT therapy. He's much more present and affectionate. His temper, eye contact and sleep has improved tremendously. I recommend this place to anyone because they're great and the girls here will definitely make you feel at home.

Thus, I am personally pleased that there still exist physicians who are compassionate and interact with a patient's best interests at heart. One such physician is Dr. Rupal Shah. Dr. Shah took care of my mother until her death at the age of 99 years. Dr. Shah made home visits, was open and frank in her discussions with family, discussed expectations, special treatments and comfort measures. She went out of her way to keep me, an out of town family member, in the loop. Dr. Shah was calm and warm. She was medically up to date but kept her treatment plan simple. When my mother first entered Dr. Shah's care, she reviewed and simplified Mom's medications. She was always available, and when appropriate, suggested hospitalization. Dr. Shah's outstanding home patient management resulted in only 2 hospitalizations over the years. This woman is the kind of physician I would want to care for me and my family if I were in New York. Thank you, Dr. Shah.

I'd gotten to the place where I was sleeping on the floor and couldn't be upright for longer than an hour. My prenatal yoga instructor recommended her after hearing about my pains and I'M SO GLAD SHE DID. I'd never been to a chiropractor and was afraid I would be left paralyzed. I wasn't. But going to Dr Wagreich did make my third trimester waaaaaaay more comfortable. I could finally go on walks again, sleep through the night, and generally not feel disabled. In fact, it made me less afraid of labor because I was entering it at 100% instead of exhausted and already in pain. Dr Wagreich has a very gentle demeanor and took the time to explain every aspect of my treatment as well as offer exercises I could do at home to help strengthen different muscle groups. My treatment was a combination of deep tissue massage and gentle adjustments. So to top it off, I was able to stop wasting money on prenatal massages too! So yea, she's my jam. And now I walk around with her business cards in my backpack so I can recommend her to my friends/Lyft drivers who complain about back pain. If you're pregnant and your back is killing you, do yourself a favor and go!
