After my original post, the owner reached out to me and let me know they were sorry how I was treated in their store and they would be looking into this concern. They encourage me to please try them out again sometime. Well, this past weekend I was coming through ( Olympia) and I decided why not give them another try! I do love healthy food! I ordered a couple of smoothies the refresh, green goods, and tropical sunshine. I had remembered enjoying the avocado toast, even though it took 20 minutes last time, but I thought let's go for it! The service was like night and day from my last experience. They were friendly communicated very well and made my order perfectly. I'm so glad to report that was just a one time experience of things going badly. I also think it helped that they had three people working versus just one person. Nice surprise!! Stopped by with my sister, who is a bit of a health nut. Glad we did!! I had the spicy orange smoothie -- yum!! Nice sweet with the spice! Sister had the green juice (called ossa something?) and really liked it!! Tasted very green to me, but I'm not a good judge of that kind of stuff. The almond butter/banana/blueberry toast was delicious! Brought home a chipotle avocado toast for my husband -- and he said it was the best avo toast he's ever had (and that's a lot)!! Impressive! The soup was homemade, extremely hearty/filling, and tasty. They switch out the soup by season and they were making the next season's while we were there. It looked & smelled amazing so we'll def be back!! They have yummy cookies at the counter from a Port Townsend bakery (NOT Pan a'Amore, so it was fun to try a different bakery's goods). Tried the Golden Milk so far (yum); got three more to try. The 'chocolate truffles' were a decadent treat to go; it's nice to cut off a bit throughout the day for a yummy chocolate chocolate hit. My hubs also LOVED the bottled ginger beer in the fridge case!! Have yet to try the mushroom chocolate that we got at the counter! Lol That was more of a novelty. Today was my first try of this local spot which went unnoticed for the years I've lived here. I had a few chats with the owner who was knowledgable and was able to describe the dishes and what was in them. I watched them make a few fruit juices which were true to recipe and actually very photogenic for fruit and vegetable juices. I ended up with the Acai Bowl which was probably the best I've tasted in years. Fresh delicious berries and banana with crunchy granola on top of freshly blended Acai. I ended up demolishing the bowl in one sitting and wanted another immediately. Even though I've only been once, I will do my best to make it a regular spot where I eat multiple times a week. I recommend you go as well. Edit: Had a wrap. It was awesome and is still a 5 star meal. Only complaint was I would love much more of their house made sauce. So good! read more
