I've been coming to Stellar Bodies since January 2023, and after nearly 200 classes, obviously I'm hooked! I purchased the 8-pack and it is a perfect balance with my HITT and Cardio workouts. Stellar workouts are tough (in the best way), and no matter how many times I take a class, I still feel challenged. My strength, endurance, and overall fitness have improved so much since I started. The instructors are awesome--super knowledgeable, motivating, always there to help with form or modifications when needed... and the playlists are always GIVINGGGG. Instructors push you without being intimidating, and the energy in class is always great. If you're looking for a workout that never gets easier (but makes you stronger), Stellar Bodies is the place. I recently joined Stellar bodies (about 2 months) at their new location at the Works (1235 Chattahoochee Avenue Northwest suite 160). I had the pleasure of having Kathryn (IG: kathrynann_np) as my instructor. She is amazing! The instructor you sign up with matters because when you are new to pilates on the megaformer machine, it takes a bit to understand the instructions and keep up due to the pace of the class. Kathryn does a great job because she models the positions AND keeps the pacing thereby meeting the needs of all levels. Not every trainer everyone does this. Each instructor has their own style. With Kathryn, it will not matter if you have been at this for 2 years or 2 days, her classes allow for all participants to experience the class and be able to feel (and eventually see) the difference in their bodies because they are doing the positions on the reformer correctly. read more

I joined Stellar 7 months ago and it was the best thing I could do for my 50+ year old body. I thought I was in pretty good shape and I was so humbled after my first class. In other words, it kicked my ass, but in the best way possible. I was shaking and sweating 10 minutes into class. I am happy to say that I definitely feel stronger now, and I still find the workout to be fun and challenging. I go to the Buckhead location. It is a beautiful space with lots of really cool retail for sale too. The instructors are amazing! They are super encouraging and motivating, in addition to offering excellent instruction. Whether you need a modification or a challenge, you are always given options. I love the hands on corrections so that I know my form is correct. I'm a runner. Not a yogi or swimmer or cyclist. I'll try just about anything once. So... I found stellar a few years ago courtesy of my neighbor who raves about it. I lasted maybe 5 minutes in my first class. I was confused and defeated. Fast forward to this year and I decided to try the basic class and have fallen in love with it. Just the basic class with Danielle or Kim (I'm sure there are more but those are the two that teach at the times I can make it). They don't compare you to anyone else and they make sure form is good and let you challenge yourself. Modifications are given and lots of visual examples and corrections - they don't expect you to have any experience - just a good attitude to trying something new. The studio is clean and fresh and the store/retail part has great products that frequently tax my wallet! Try it - you only need grippy socks and water. read more

I came here because I saw this place on classpass and wanted to try it. IDK, I didn't love it. Perhaps I didn't do the moves correctly (since it was my first time) so it felt very awkward. The instructor wasn't super attentive so that didn't help. To be fair, it was almost a full class, but I think I was the only newbie so would've appreciated a little more attention I suppose. I did feel sore for the next day or two so the workout was effective, however, I'm not sure I'd revisit. I didn't feel like I got a good sweat here. read more

The workout looks super simple, yet it works you out to your fullest limit and guarantees to challenge you every time. I was gifted a $10 gift card for my very first class and decided to give it a try. The theory of these exercises is similar to Barr classes and pilate. The workout movements are very slow to work / tone various muscle groups. It is an amazing workout. I was sweating my entire class. My muscles feel burning within minutes after the class starts. My legs are still sore this morning. My challenge at this first class is to stay balanced. The instructor is very helpful to correct my postures and provide me tools for balancing. At the very end, I felt my time is well spent at the workout! I will highly recommend this to friends. read more

One of my all time favorite work outs in town! I've been going to Stellar for almost 2 years now and I still love it. It's pilates on a mega reformer that will totally work every little muscle in your body. It's low impact so great for ppl with joint issues but still very intense. The instructors are all absolutely wonderful but I have to say Kaitlyn Picken, Melinda Mestre, and Erin Little are my favorites. I know these small pilates/yoga boutiques can seem pretentious but I promise you that none of the instructors here are. Every friend I've ever recommended to Stellar have now become regulars. I probably shouldn't speak so highly of Stellar bc then I won't be able to secure spots in my favorite classes however, it's amazing and I think if you're reading this review you should definitely give it a try. Tip for newcomers: if you are not experienced in pilates, I would strongly recommend booking the basics class first. The basics class focuses more on your form than on difficult moves. The full body class is quite tough and so I could see it being quite intimidating if you've never done this before. Also the instructors for the basics class are definitely more hands on as they're aware you are probably less experienced. I started in basics for the first 2 months then graduated myself to the full body class. read more

I was feeling great after a private session($85) at the Works location on Tues.At 7am on Friday, I decided to book a 9am, 50 min group class( $33) at the midtown location. I haven't been to midtown location or any gym since last summer. I made sure to arrive early(9:45) as I was driving a pick up truck and knew that parallel parking would be disastrous. ;-) The Stellar parking lot is tiny & I expected some construction delays( all the streets around there one way only). I did not expect to find the parking lot CLOSED. There were NO signs indicating where to park and no one answered the phone when I called. I tried to park in the lot behind Stellar but it was FULL. I did not see ANY street parking close by. At 8:52 , I got out of the car, ran to the front desk to let the instructor( who was very nice) know that I could not find parking. She directed me to a parking garage about 1/2 a block away. I may have passed it, I did not see any signs that indicated it was for Stellar bodies patrons and the gate was closed. It took a long time to get back to Stellar due to the construction and one way streets. I was so frustrated as it was now 9:06 and I was still trying to find parking. I ran back inside and just asked for a credit since I had already missed the beginning of the class. Michelle called me back with an attitude as if asking for a credit was begging for a "HANDOUT !"Victoria called me the next day with the same arrogance and actually told me that I MISSED the communication that happened months ago when the parking lot construction began. She also took NO responsibility and said " I should have just paid to park on the street." WOW So, If you are not a regular, then it is your fault for NOT being in the "know " and "MISSING"communications. That is terrible customer service. That's NOT a great way to welcome newcomers or patrons trying to return to a fitness routine ( which although it is worth it, is NOT cheap ). If I was made aware that the normal parking was not available, I would have booked a class at the Works location. NOW, I will NEVER return! read more

What is megaformer? If you have tried pilates reformer, just imagine it is triple times harder. If you haven't try reformer before, its a system of springs and pulleys which use your own body way for the workout. You can call it a miracle machine or torture device depend which way you look at it. I have been to Stellars twice, I had reformer classes before and thought I should be able to handle megaformer. Boy, was I wrong, I almost passed out the first time I tried. It is very intensive and require strength and energy, not the type of exercise for anyone. I went today again after 1 full month of hard core barre classes, surprisingly I felt a little stronger on the machine this time, but the class was still very tough. My full body was sore after the class, I can feel it working on my muscle. I believe its very effective training if I want to see quick result. read more

I can't tell you guys how much I love Stellar! I tried it out a few months ago through ClassPass & have maxed out my 3x/month limit ever since. (& would go more often if I had the time & money...) This is by no means an easy class. The first class is a bit awkward, and I swear although you do eventually understand and remember all of the moves, it is always super tough. The instructors are amazing and are supportive of newbies, but challenge the regulars as well. I like Danielle's class, but haven't found an instructor that I don't like. Everyone gets an amazing workout, regardless of skill or level of fitness. I would NOT recommend taking Jeff's class at the Midtown location (Fri @12p) unless you are up for a very serious challenge. I should add... While I have always been athletic & played tennis in college, I never had one of those super lean, strong, 6-pack-abs kind of physics. This class (in combination with occasional Barre & minimal running) has gotten me in the best shape ever. I can tell a big difference both in physique and ability from when I first started. Of all the studios, gyms & workout trends, this is definitely one of my favorites. Try it out, and if you don't love it right away, stick with it... You will ;) read more

LOVE IT HERE! Stellar Bodies is located right next to Outback Steakhouse and is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it since it doesn't stand out when you're driving along Roswell. The classes are taught on a Megaformer machine which is basically a Pilates reformer machine. It takes a little bit getting used to in the beginning, but the instructor was really wonderful as was the co-teacher who was very helpful in adjusting me as the class went on. Due to the small size of the class, I felt I got a good amount of attention. I was sore for a good amount of days afterwards. Really great workout with no pressure on your joints. There is also free water and a cubby area to put your items. Note that there is no dressing room but there is a bathroom in the back that you can change in. Overall, I would love to come back here once I can find a month where I am not constantly traveling for work so I can get some discounts on the classes by buying class packages. read more

I've been using ClassPass for over a year, and after trying tons of different places, this is the first studio/workout that I actually loved enough to buy its own package for! The workout is incredibly challenging and you can feel the results almost immediately. The instructors are helpful, and they always provide modifications for both new and advanced students. Make sure to hydrate before as there is little to no rest time during the 50 minute class -- which I should add goes by faster than any other workout I've done! read more

This class is challenging but approachable to even beginners. The reformer machines may look intimidating to someone who's never used one, but the instructors make sure to give you personalized instruction if you need it. A lot of modern studios are dimly lit and play the music so loudly that you can barely hear the instructor, but this is not the case at stellar bodies. I attended my first class here via ClassPass and have been attending on a fairly regular basis ever since. This is one of the hardest, most humbling workouts I've ever taken, but can see results even in my short time attending this studio. The machine used in these classes is called a Megaformer, and though it may look simple to maneuver, you'll be sweating within five minutes! The machine doesn't put stress on your joints, and offers your a way to build muscle safely. For your first class, I would recommend arriving as early as possible, to get a tutorial of how the machine works. The instructors are super helpful your first few times in class and don't be afraid to ask for help if needed. I'd also recommend not scheduling a super hard workout class the day after taking this class, as no matter your level of fitness, you will be sore post-Stellar Bodies! Overall, this is a great workout that will challenge you and work your entire body. read more

If you are not moderately fit, do NOT take this class! Yes, it's low impact, but it is extremely challenging and will leave you sore for days after. You will likely break a good sweat too. The class sizes are small, making it easy for the instructor to notice you and correct your form. I like that between exercises transition time is kept to a minimum so you can keep the muscles working and fatigued (a key part of the lagree method). You will have to adjust the springs occasionally but this is easy to do and does not take away from class time. The first class may be miserable, but by the 2nd or 3rd time you will be more comfortable with the Megaformer machine. If you take this class ~3-4 times a week, I'm confident you will be in killer shape!! Taking off 1 star because it's extremely pricey. I use ClassPass, so it's a great deal for me. However, I believe a single class will run you about $30. Purchasing a package reduces the cost per class. Bottom line: drink the Kool-Aid, and get yourself over to Atlanta's newest fitness craze! read more

The workout and the staff are fantastic. My issue is that if you don't sign up well in advance then you can't get in because the prime time spots get taken(very limited number of spots) and with my work, I'm never 100% sure if I can be there at the appointed time until the morning of. And if you don't cancel within 24 hours you lose the class even if they fill it Then, I guess I didn't realize it, you have to use your package in 30 days or you lose it. So out of the 8 I paid for, I only was able to use 3. So, because of that it didn't really work for me personally. Plus it's really expensive. read more

The best workout ever! Not only this is the best workout you will ever do, and one of the hardest ones, (I think I'm a fit person) but this is also the best studio for this particular type of Pilates. (Pilates on steroids) I've had the pleasure of taking many different megaformer classes in different studios outside of Atlanta, all of which were challenging. Stellar bodies does take the prize because they are so knowledgeable about maximizing it, and holy cow does your body change. Within a matter of two months about twice-three times per week, you'll have a different body. After my fave yoga studio closed and a horrific experience in another, I decided to exchange yoga for Pilates. Instead of just Pilates I went for the megaformer since I had done both before and thought one is superior to the other in terms of challenge. If you want to try this type of workout, choosing this studio is the way to go since they are the originals of Atlanta. They're super welcoming, patient, communicative and everyone knows your name. I've been wanting to try different workouts since I've been doing Pure Barre for a few years now (which I love)!! I bought an intro deal and signed up a few weeks later to Stellar Bodies. The day I signed up for first class, my toddler got super sick and I had to cancel. It was almost two hours before the class, so it was considered a "late cancel." I called the front desk to let her know and asked what my options were. She told me that if did a late cancel that means I forfeited the class. I told her I was new and I wasn't aware of the rule. I then asked her if I lost my money and she said yes. I completely understand those are the rules, but as someone new who wasn't aware of them and had to cancel because I had to take my toddler to the doctor, I thought was unfair. I wasn't about to call my husband to drive home from work to take him to the doctor just so I didn't have a "late cancel." There wasn't even an attempt to a resolution. It wasn't a lot of money, but it's the principal of the matter. read more

Best workout in Atlanta! (Alongside their sister studio, Fit9). Challenging every time, never gets easier, but I am stronger after every class.
