I went to Stella Nova for a massage at the end of August. They've done a complete renovation and it is beautiful! The upstairs looks and feels like a trendy upscale spa. The massage therapist, Abigail, was amazing. I definitely reccommend scheduling an appointment with her, I know I'm making another one soon. read more

A great, very modern / chic salon in town where everyone makes you feel really welcome and comfortable. The stylist really takes a great interest in the style you want and they did a great job with my color requests as well as helping me achieve a look I've been dying to have for some time!! Highly recommend the Nova!! read more

I highly recommend Malory Starr! She is very professional, provides wonderful advice/suggestions, now feels like a personal friend. The best stylist I have ever been too. Now she styles all of my girlfriends (and guy friends too). Book her today - also, great with extensions! read more

Erica in Mt Pleasant is the absolute jam! I've seen her for the past couple years and she's the only person to ever get me to the precise shade of natural blonde I adore. I recently moved to LA and the first stylist I visited messed me all up -- super bleachy blonde look. When back in Charleston Erica was able to quickly get me back to looking like ME and work her magic. She is a great listener and knows color like no one else. If she tells you something will or will not work, listen to her. She knows her stuff. Fabulous stylist! read more

My first experience at Stella Nova salon was great. I had a partial highlight and cut by Crystal, and she did an amazing job. My hair ended up exactly how I wanted. She was incredibly nice and personable, and I will definitely be returning. read more

I have been going to Stella Nova for about 3 years now. I used to see Courtney and loved her until she moved. I switched over to Kasey and she took over beautifully. I am a blonde and love the way she highlighted and made my hair lighter while still looking natural. I recommend Kasey to all my friends! read more

I can't say enough great things about Nichole at Stella Nova. She always gives me a great cut and ensures my color and highlights look natural. On top of that, she's super nice and a joy to chat with. The salon itself is great too - always clean and filled with friendly faces. Product selection is top notch and never feel pressured to buy. Always a great experience at Stella Nova! read more

Mallory Starr at Stella Nova is the absolute best person to go to in the Charleston area for highlights, bayalage, extensions and more! She is so detailed, takes time to be sure you get exactly what you want and gives great advice. She is such a warm, kind person and truly cares about her clients. I constantly get asked where I get my hair done. She's the best! read more

I've been going to Stella Nova for almost 10 years!!! I am always greeted with a smile. I love the text reminders for my appointment. Malory has been my girl from Day 1. Malory is a true artist and amazing at her craft. read more

The quality of the service is acceptable to great. However, the pricing is misleading. If you're getting your hair colored and need no other service, prepare for it to still cost over $200. While expecting a $120 charge for hair coloring but found surprises added to the bill and was very dissatisfied with the cost. read more

I had a massage with Madeline recently. They are currently undergoing renovations, so at the beginning I wondered if listening to the drilling and construction conversation would be a distraction. It wasn't once the massage itself commenced, but it should have been mentioned over the phone when scheduling the appointment. The massage itself was lovely and Madeline helped me work out my kinks. At the end of the massage I was given a towel. I would recommend paying attention to removing excess oil from your feet. I wore sandals. The staircase is stone, and traction could be tricky. The staff was friendly the whole time. I would have another massage there. read more

Saw Debbie for my facial and loved her! She was so thorough and knowledgeable and explained everything to me! The massage was super relaxing and my face feels so much lighter and clearer. Would definitely recommend her! read more

I have been going to Stella Nova Mt.Pleasant for some time. Melinda Sowell does all my skin care needs. She does a wonderful job!!!! She knows her skin care products well! The Front desk staff is terrible!!! I came in on Saturday to buy product and was treated Very Rude. I want to keep coming to get services from Melinda Sowell. But if front desk staff doesn't get better I don't know if I will continue to come back. read more

I've been going to Stella Nova for about 6 months after trying some less impressive stylists (when you are a dude, what do you call the lady who cuts your hair?). The business is hip and stylish in itself. I also like the high-tech reminder text service they use. Johnna is incredible! She talked me into a more modern look without being pushy and all is happy in my world. Ask for Johnna. She has always been either early or on-time, is a great conversationalist and is NOT booked out so far that it is annoying. I guess she is a secret that I'm willing to share. read more

Love this place! Friendly atmosphere, and I loved my haircut. They don't do walk-ins, but I would still recommend.

I used to go to Stella Nova and can highly recommend Nicole for color and cut. However, the people at the front desk are not nice at all! The last time I went for an appointment, I waited and waited for 20 minutes. I asked the receptionist if Nicole knew I was waiting and was told that I was being impatient and getting my hair done was going to take a long time anyway. Needless to say, I left and never went back. I was surprised that after going to Nicole for as long as I had, that I didn't even get a phone call! read more

Found this lovely salon last winter and was so happy Noelle continues to work her magic there! She highlights my hair, trims and stylizes it while giving me helpful tips on the latest restaurants and tours in Charleston! The salon is in a great location, Town Center, and is quiet, clean and relaxing! What a gem! read more

I was visiting Charleston with family and decided to have a day away from the beach and pamper myself. I got a hair cut and color by Crystal and she was amazing. She was very patient with my unruly curly thick sun dried hair and I walked out of the salon looking great. My extended family I was on vacation with were so impressed they scheduled appointments for the following day. Crystal is so knowledgeable about what's best for different hair types and is truly a gem within this salon!! Anyone vacationing or from the area should take the time to check out this Stella Nova and most especially ask for Crystal! You won't regret it. Thanks Crystal for making some of my beach pics look so much better. See ya next year! read more

My experience at Stella nova was subpar, and that is wing generous. Not only were the stylists rude to me but the cut was overpriced and they did a horrible job. I am not one to complain, but as soon as I left I almost cried. I had spent $185 on highlights, I told them not to dry and style my hair since that always costs more and they did anyway. My highlight job was terrible, you could clearly still see my roots around my face and it has grown out incredibly fast. I will never go back there and I advise others to find somewhere else in Mt. Pleasant because Stella Nova is neither worth your time or money! read more

Crystal Chapman is amazing!! She did my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted it! She is definitely my go to for perfect hair! Thanks so much Crystal!!! read more

I have always had a wonderful experience at Stella Nova thanks to their staff. They are my go to salon for my hair and eyebrows. I recently had my eyebrows waxed by Debbie. She did a phenomenal job and did them exactly how I asked her to. Also, before the waxing she showed me where they should start and end, as well as where the arch should be and how much she would trim off. She also gave me tips for treating redness after. I appreciated the time she took to make me feel comfortable and confident in her ability and knowledge. read more

Usually, I'm not one to complain about haircuts because it always grows back and more often than not it looks great anyway. But my two experiences at Stella Nova in Mt. Pleasant were less than satisfactory. The first time I went, I walked out felling like I spent a lot of money for a trim. On my next visit I wanted her to cut off about three inches and bring my hair to my shoulders. All went well until she started cutting and took my hair to my chin!!! It took over two years to get my hair past my shoulders, and here I was back to square one. As I sat there and watched her cut my hair she then said, "shoulder length hair doesn't look good so I took it to your chin". It took me about a week before I got upset. I can no longer wear my hair up and the cut itself was terrible. It just hung wrong around my face and was too long to be cute, too short to do anything with. I won't go back there. The whole point of a consultation before cutting is to find out what the client wants, voice your opinion as a stylist, and then proceed. No one should cut your hair and then say, on that length wouldn't look good so I decided I'm cutting more off your head than you wanted. Atleast when it is mutually agreed upon it beforehand you know what you are going to get. read more

Melinda gave me the most amazing facial of my life! It was anti-aging and she told me it was like a mini-facelift. I had my doubts, but the results speak for themselves. My skin looks refreshed and younger. Melinda does an amazing job. read more

Asked for my hair to only be cut maybe an inch and a half at most and wound up with 3 inches off after telling Noelle to keep it long countless times. Now it looks awful and nowhere near as awesome. read more

Child haircut specifically asked for a long pronounced A-line with chin length bangs and received a 1 inch back to front differentiation (can't tell) and a one inch "layer" of about 100 strands of hair on one side of her face. I typically cut my childs own hair and probably should have saved myself the $48 (plus tip) and continued to do it myself! REDICULOUS!!! Not satisfied! read more

My name is Lauren Finnical and I was down in Mount Pleasant for my daughters wedding on 9/29. I just wanted to tell you I loved the way my hair was done. I'm not sure the name of the girl that did it but it was Perfect for the wedding. I got lots of compliments and it stayed in all night. Would you please let her know. Thanks again! read more

Five star rating for senior stylist/colorist Erica at Stella Nova, Mount Pleasant. Like a modern alchemist, she practices spinning silver threads into gold and understands the importance of our crowning glory. It's such a pleasure to deal with someone who stands behind her work. read more

this place sucks. i've been here 3 different times and all three times i arrived on time and was told they were "backed up" and if i wouldn't mind waiting on their little brown couch. i sat there patiently for 20 minutes each time reading magazines until someone finally came to get me. no big deal, these things happen. well today i arrived for my appt 15 minutes late given the fact that i've waited 20 minutes on my 3 prior visits. i was told that they would not be able to see me because the next appt was arriving in 5 minutes. i'm a guy, my hair takes 15 minutes to cut. the other person had not even arrived yet and may be running late as well. and even if the next person was on time, why can't they wait 15-20 minutes like i do every single time i go?? very poor service and way too much hassle considering i pay $55 for a men's haircut everytime i go in. will not be returning to stella nova and will make sure everyone knows this place sucks. read more
