My daughter bought a wallet and purse from Stella McCartney site itself for Christmas. I did not care for it as she calls it "VEGAN" just call it Plastic it would be more honest. I made an order on Stella Mccarney on 14th Sep (order #01120396) for some Christmas rompers for my three babies. After one wear and wash these garments literally fell apart. The threads came undone and there were holes in the garments as a result. I immediately contacted Stella customer service on 5th January and supplied imagery and details of the damages. I have ordered from Stella Kids many times without issue so was disappointed that this had happened. I received a reply and was told this was being 'looked into' by the relevant department and that they would get back to me. It's now been almost one month and despite numerous e-mails asking for an update so I can ship these items back, I am now being ignored. I'm really disappointed with the lack of communication. I feel I've been robbed as the quality was not in line with the price and what was sold. The no response from the Customer Service team is quite frankly appalling and I would never shop with them nor recommend them again. There are nicer quality brands at more affordable prices out there who actually CARE about their customers and the service they're providing. This company couldn't care less. I purchased a handbag from Stella McCartney and the dark leather color is leaking through to the outside of the cream handbag. I called customer service and they admitted that this was the problem. I have documentation to prove it. Long story short, they said that it is not a defect or a manufacturing problem. Buy a bag that has disintegrated due to the passage of time and clearly poor fabric quality. I took it to repair in February 2023 and I get a reply in June 2023 saying that they will not fix it and that they will return it to me as is, Nicholas Rathbun terrible customer service and poor quality, a $1,500 bag that lasts two years and they discontinue it, which prevents you from repairing it. Simply the worst customer service. They hung up on me multiple times and when I called the sales associate out she put me on hold then tried to explain why they didn't hang up. If the call ends and it's not my end, thats a hang up. I'm just trying to figure out why it's taken over 6 months to repair my thousand dollar bag. I feel like such a hypocrite. I am the farthest thing from a vegan you can imagine. I like my steaks bloody, my cheeses stinky, and my leathers soft as a calf's butt. So, the fact that I walked in here and ended up with not 1 but 2 pairs of heels, is a bit of a shocker. I was never a Stella fan. Even from the get go. Just not my style. Too girly for me. But, lately, her designs have become more mature and on the minimalistic style. Architectural, clean lines. I was shocked that I liked so many of her designs. The boutique, as another reviewer described it, is more like a studio. Not a lot of clutter or racks to get you flustered. The sales people were all gracious and helpful. Im a lil concerned that every single high end retail shop we walked into, was not crowded with tourists and sales grabbers. It was the day after Christmas when all the best deals were to be had. From upwards to 60% off. Even with deals like these, there was not a soul to be found in any of these shops. Great for me, but not my industry. read more

love the ove rsized and romantic look of all of Stella McCartney's designs. i've been wanting to visit this store for a few months- i'm glad it was one of our stops for NYLON Day. beautiful studio design, however- it's easy to get lost in all of the racks... Drapey, fluttery, ecru, sage, silk, tapered, taupe, cotton, oversized, rose, intricate loveliness. Stella McCartney is the world's finest vegan fashion designer, using no animal products (leather, fur, etc) in any part of her creations. Throw the word "vegan" into fashion and it generally makes people think of woven-hemp hippie pants and caftans or, worse yet, bad pleather shoes. But Stella's haute styles -- from spaghetti strap dresses to billowing tops roped in with fabric cords to structured suits -- they float down the runway and practically glow in her shop. The store is rather large for a boutique, though rather minimally stocked (and staffed). It's decorated in the same muted hues as her typical palette. There are no bright, bold, colors -- everything has an ashen tone that somehow makes the clothes appear delicate, not dingy. Stella did the costumes for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, which is when I fell madly for her style, and I have a mauve matte satin trench coat from a collection she did around then. I once got five compliments on it in less than ten minutes -- while walking through a fabric store, which is only further proof that she appeals to the design-oriented. It's all quite expensive -- $400 for a tank top, $2500 for a dress -- but you can pride yourself on knowing that it's sweatshop-free and cruelty-free. And beautiful. i both love and hate this woman. i love (most) of her clothes, i love that she cuts not for a little boy's body but instead for a woman's, i love that it's all vegan, i love her awesome mom who did so much for the animal rights movement, and i LOVE LOVE FUCKING (!!!!) LOVE her shoes. i mean i fucking love them. i love them so much that i only bust them out when i am feeling FABULOUS and want to receive many compliments on my fabulousness. i hate that i am poor and cannot afford to buy it all. but i guess that's more my issue than hers. until i hit it big in vegas, i will treat my few stella mccartney items with genuine love and care and pray that my dogs don't eat them. read more
