I am writing to follow up on my previous request regarding a full refund for the services I paid for, which were not completed as agreed. As stated in my initial communication, I paid a deposit $1,000 for the installation of a bathroom vanity. The original appointment was canceled, and the work has still not been completed. This has caused inconvenience and does not meet the expectations or agreement we had in place. This message serves as a second formal notice requesting a full refund of $1,000. I ask that this refund be processed within 5 business days from the date of this email. If I do not receive a response or resolution within this timeframe, I will proceed with further action, which may include filing formal complaints through applicable consumer protection agencies and pursuing other available remedies. I would prefer to resolve this matter quickly and amicably. Please confirm when I can expect the refund. I paid a deposit to this business for a scheduled service, but ended up canceling the appointment in advance. No work was performed. When I requested a refund of my deposit, the business refused to return it. There was no signed agreement stating the deposit was non-refundable, and no materials or services were provided. I attempted to resolve this directly but was unsuccessful. Based on my experience, I would recommend confirming refund policies in writing before making any payment.

Fix It Nick - Before shower filter

I started a project on Yelp looking for someone to help with a shower upgrade. Those of us in…read moreRancho Cucamonga know how hard the water is, and I'd recently purchased several removable shower filters to help combat the issue. I was able to uninstall the shower head, install the filter and reinstall the shower head in one bathroom, but I didn't have the tools or elbow grease to do the same in the second bathroom. Within minutes of submitting the request, I received a message from Nick with his cell phone number, asking me to send him photos of the work. I texted him and he responded quickly confirming he could do the work with an estimate and potential time to schedule the job. He required a small deposit via Zelle. I was a little skeptical about the deposit, but he affirmed his business means more to him than the deposit and his word is worth more as well. He was able to get me on the schedule the following day and confirmed a time later that evening. That day, he texted me telling me when he was on his way and with an estimated time of arrival. When he arrived, he got straight to work. He confirmed the shower head was REALLY on there! He was able to remove it, as well as the stupid flow restrictor I'd asked the previous plumber to not install--but he did anyway--threaded the connections, and installed the shower filter and shower head quickly. He also gave me an opportunity to douse the shower head in Lime Away before reinstalling! We tested the connection and he made one minor adjustment and then was done! He charged me his minimum rate and it was worth it. Very nice gentleman, very professional and honest! I appreciate he takes Zelle and Venmo. He informed me of some of the other types of projects he does as well, and I intend to use his services in the future! Thank you, Nick!

Not only myself, but the…read moreother Plumber I received a quote from, agreed, that any plumber doing a reconnection after countertops are installed, it is a give in, that the plumbing under sink need to be reconfigured for an upgrade/remodel. Reconfiguring after a countertop Is what I thought I was being quoted. Jose quoted me $360.00 for the plumbing re-connection. My Sink was installed already, all that had to be done was the plumbing reconnection underneath. Upon Jose's arrival, he got to work, only to call me to the kitchen 30 minutes later, and tell me he needed a longer hose, and it was going to be $80.00 more than he quoted me. I hesitantly said, ok, Jose. About another 30 minutes later, he again, calls me, to tell me that now he needed different valves, and it would be around $120.00 more than he quoted. At this time, I was like, how can this be, that he did not see everything he needed to do. There was nothing under the sink, he could clearly see what he needed to accomplish, why does he keep adding on money. Now, picture this, this was all done, while he kept stepping outside to take calls. I mean, all morning long, where my Housekeeper even had said, wow, how unprofessional is this guy. I just nodded, didn't want to say much, because I wanted this to be done and over with, considering he kept raising his quote. Jose left to go pick up the new valves and longer pipe, and comes back 2 or more hours later. Jose finally finishes under the sink and I'm about to pay him through Zelle $560.00 and then he pulls out a receipt for $83.00, I was floored. Highway robbery! I ended up paying $643.75. My Dad arrived at my house and told me this was unacceptable. I said, look Dad, let this guy leave, and I will never have to deal with him again. My Dad suggested he took advantage of a girl who didn't know much, i said, could be, but we can't speculate, let's just go off facts. The fact that he kept raising the price on me is enough to say, I feel pretty taken advantage of. I will upload the original quote, along with final payment. Another pic i will share, is the other Plumber saying, everything Jose did, is common for the reconnection of plumbing, so why did he keep up-charging!!! I have been pretty bummed about the whole scenario, OH, did i mention how he was done with everything and the pipe was leaking where he had to come back and fix? I'm surprised he didn't charge me for that, too!!! I will include that pic, too. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!

We had just bought a home and needed some work done. I reached out to several contractors and…read morehandymen including Javier. For a handyman his quote was actually high. It was comparable to the licensed contractors. Despite this I decided to go with Javier because his police was "100% Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed" and he had great Yelp reviews. The first job he did for me didn't go as well as I had hoped. He had asked to use my garage to store his tools while working which I said was ok but then everything in it got so dirty. Secondly, there was some misunderstanding about a few light switches which he did fix on his dime and I do appreciate. And third was how my kids room was covered in a thick dust layer. He apologized and asked how he could make it right. I said to clean it and he said he would. But after I never noticed it cleaned. I also asked about the 10% discount that he had put on Yelp for first time customers. He said it was included in the quote even though it wasn't shown on the quote. I still don't know if he discounted me because there's no way to know. Finally, I had asked him to take down a wall. He opened the whole wall and said it had pipes and would cost a lot to reroute them. I said I couldn't afford that so he put back the wall but charged me to put it back. He should have done a test hole on it to make sure it was ok to take down before hand or not charged me to put it back. I had more work that needed to be done and while I should have known from my first experience, I decided to give Javier another shot. This time things went much worse. I had mentioned that I had brand new wood floors and carpet put in and he needed to put something down or clean it after he was done because his guys were the only workers there. He agreed. But every time I came to check on work he only had a painter's tarp down that constantly got moved or one area with some paper taped down. I then figured he would clean it after he was done. But he didn't. He said that he wasn't the only one there because I came by to put things in the garage or answer a question he had. He said he would use a wet/dry vac to get up anything he left but it was spot vacuuming. He refused to vacuum the whole house where there was carpet even though he was working in the whole house. After he finished I am still finding pieces of wire, drywall or even nails. And the wood floors were perfect before he did work. He didn't clean them either. And it was during the week we got a ton of rain. So clearly he did not care about customer satisfaction. Secondly, his initial time frame was 4 days. It ended up taking 7 days. This was really hard for me as I had a deadline to move in. On day 4 he said they were 80% done. But when I went to go see I pointed out all the things that he still hadn't done. He apologized and said he completely forgot about them. There was a one day delay on my part because of doors I ordered that came in late but even if they were there on time he still wouldn't have finished on his initial time frame. His drywall guy (who is his brother I'm told) is not very good. He always oversprays texture (as seen in pics) and doesn't match the original texture. I was constantly having to point out where he over sprayed. And he had forgotten to put in the baseboard. Javier came back to put in the baseboard but now it doesn't match. It kept being one problem after another. The doors I ordered they put in but didn't measure to make sure they would clear the carpet so I had to pay them to cut off a little of each door. The closet door I had him put in didn't slide so he had to fix it. One door his brother put in the wrong way and thankfully I noticed before it was finished so they could change it. And so on. It was like I had to babysit their work and ask them to clean up after themselves. He also never finished his original job as hired for. He was supposed to install my new front door but said it would be a 2 1/2 week delay. After everything I said I would hire someone else. And while I would never hire him again, he also never sent me a quote for other work I had asked him for. For being a handyman that charges as much as a licensed contractor I expected much more.
