I hired Mr. Sherman to repair some drywall in my garage. It was not an easy job as there were a lot of pipes in the way. He was able to reinforce the structure and replace the drywall, which was definitely the most difficult part of the job. He also had good communication, was on time and was very friendly. I would definitely hire Mr. Sherman again for jobs in the future. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Mr. Dwayne. We would happily use his company again for future needs and highly recommend his services. read more

Mr. Sherman did an amazing job installing our two AC window units. He was very thorough and neat. He even took the time to show us how the units worked once he installed them. We will definitely be using his services again in the future. read more

Dwayne was an absolute expert when he installed the mounting system for my heavy flatscreen TV..He promptly responded to my service request and gave me an honest an reasonable estimate.. He spent the necessary time to complete the task bc he wanted to be extra sure that the TV was hanging perfectly as well as making sure that the wall was in excellent condition as it was b4 he began. Every detail was expertly spackled & painted! He even matched the original paint precisely! He has a wonderful personality and easy to speak to regard the work being done. He is definitely a "KEEPER" as my handyman that's for sure! I will certainly refer him to all of my friends that need a great handyman!! read more

Called Mr Sherman out again and never a dull moment . Very conversational and knowledgeable man. This time I had him come out and flush my water heater system which needs to be annually checked upon so that no hard residue builds up in there to keep it in good condition. He got that task out the way for me and also helped fix a toilet that was flushing on its own and wasting water. Im very impressed with his services and always finds ways to get to the root of the problem, so that it's really fixed. If you need someone reliable, trustworthy and won't beat you around the bush call him for all your home needs. read more

Dwayne was amazing and very professional. We hired him to fix a leaky shower and another smaller task. He discovered a snafu in the repair process and instead of deferring to another day, he drove 60 miles round trip to pick up a part to complete the repair. He went way above and beyond, and we are so appreciative! We definitely recommend him to anyone for home repairs. Thank you so much for everything, Dwayne! read more

Quick response reasonable prices and problem solved. Friendly excellent costumer service.

Please see the attached pictures representative of the excellent work completed by the Shermans. The Shermans cleaned our house, painted, re-stained all the woodwork in the house, and also replaced our bathroom fan and light fixtures. This was all done at a reasonable price prior to putting our La Verne home up for sale. They did such a great job we decided to stay in our Home. Ken & Anita read more

Dwayne called me as soon as the bad review posted. He genuinely apologized and expressed his frustration for not being able to follow through the first time around. He scheduled a return date for 08/16/17, he was punctual and true to his word, refined the sealing job, made the screws flush with the panel and filled them up. He also, on his own raised the doggy door a few inches so it was much easier for our senior German Shepard to access the run. Thank you Dwayne for responding and making things right with my project. Please understand due the frustration we went through, are unable to rate you a five star, but are changing your rating to 4 for your response and reparation. We wish you and your family well in the future. Thank you for your services, Joyce and Silvia read more

Sherman's Services is salvation for me. I have been in need of a reliable, trustworthy professional for maintenance issues both commercial and residential.................. and I've found one......THANK GOD!!! Reviews can be written in many ways, everyone writes about pretty much the same thing but I'd like to highlight something different. It is scary to hire a stranger, give them $$ up front and HOPE you are not making a mistake or a victim of fraud. These days, so much is executed virtually and there is nothing in person, dealing with other peoples money, I have to be very very careful and I am so pleased Sherman's was the vendor I selected. Dwayne made sure from the first moment of contact to the very end that he was transparent. He communicated with me at every step and gained my trust quickly. THIS, to me is why a review should be written. We don't always mention these things. A recommendation is a bit subjective but when you consider what you really need to know.......in the REALITY of what we need from a Vendor................it's this. BTW - Dwayne is AWESOME, his work was great, he works clean, is respectful to you and of where and what he is working on, punctual, friendly, reasonably priced, offers knowledge and very very service minded. THIS brings value. Sherman's Services is a RARE FIND FOR SURE!! read more

From start to finish, working with Dwayne was a pleasure. Communication was clear, thorough, and professional right from the get go. After I called and told him we needed his services, he asked for pictures of areas needing work and a description of what needed to be done(he's very detail oriented, which is awesome). Then he gave me a rough estimate of how much things would cost. We made the appointment, and he was right on time. He took care of everything in an efficient manner, and was really great about explaining everything he was doing. He even ended up helping us out with a couple extra things that we threw in the day of. The day was very busy and my mind was pretty cluttered with other issues, but Dwayne was patient and kind, and really worked with me to put my mind at ease. He was extremely knowledgeable and capable, and definitely put his heart into his work. You could tell he cared about his customers, as well as his company's reputation. I'm fairly confident we'll be contacting him for any handyman services we'll need around the house. Honestly, the world needs more Dwaynes. read more

As others have said here, give Dwayne a call! Communication is very open, and for me, texting photos of the issue and explaining over text was extremely convenient. He was very friendly over the phone and a pleasure to have in my home. Normally having a service performed in your house is met with awkwardness, at least for me. Dwayne was very talkative both about the job at hand and about life in general. He was very happy to meet our cats and just had a general aura of being genuine. We have old, cheap copper pipes that were leaking at the lines that needed a unique solution and Dwayne was able to provide the solution. He did a great job with the repair and also took care of the mold problem that the leak had created. He sealed it with vinyl and built it in a way that if a new leak occurred, it would not touch the cabinet. Very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend him to anyone. read more

Give Dwayne a call... you won't be disappointed. He was punctual, friendly, professional and helpful with a variety of things. He mounted a vanity light in my bathroom and also fixed a few things in my kitchen. He took his time explaining what was going on and what the remedy was. I felt very comfortable with his suggestions. Try him out yourself. read more

Fast response time. Very helpful and knowledgeable of his trade. Thanks again Dwayne for the items you repaired in our home.

Met Dwayne for the first time today. I am very pleased with the work performed. He was on time and completed the work as requested, and then some. He cleaned up after himself(very important) when finished. I'm already on the schedule to have him back. He has another satisfied client. read more

These people are strange/lost. When you call for services, housekeeping or window cleaning, you are asked to text a physical address and await contact by the female, Rebecca. Except, the only contact days later is from the person who originally answered the phone, asking "Why did you contact us again?" Huh? Don't bother!! Did we disturb your hibernation? Or were you in some sort of coma?? read more

I love Dwayne and his adorable son. While Dwayne installed closet doors in 2 bedrooms, his son cleaned my garage. That wasn't even on the list, but I'm so glad he did it. We just had new laminate floors installed in our whole house and the dust from grinding the high points in the concrete floors and sawdust from undercutting the door jams coated the walls and ceilings. After day one of installation (Thursday) we knew we needed help cleaning our house. My husband called the larger corporate cleaning companies and they either didn't work on Saturday, didn't have anyone available for a one time cleaning or didn't wipe down ceilings and walls. Then he found Sherman Services on Yelp and gave them a call. Rebekah came the same day to see the condition of the house house. She gave us a reasonable quote to clean the whole house, including wiping down the walls and ceilings for that Saturday. Rebekah brought a large enough crew to clean our 1600 sf house in four hours. They were very careful of our antique furniture and the new floors. Our whole house was deep cleaned and smelled great when they were done. We are so pleased! I would highly recommend their services. We definitely will use them again! read more

Dwayne and his son came over today to fix some home projects that needed to be taken care of as we prepped our home to sell it. He gave us great tips and simple fix ideas at no additional cost as well. They were professional, quick, well-priced, and able to do a great job all at the same time. It seems as though no job is too small or too large for Dwayne with Sherman Services. I plan on definitely using him again in the future. read more

We hired Dwayne a few weeks ago. He quoted us $450 to put together a gazebo. 3 hours into the second day he said the job was too much work and he needed to double the cost to $900. I was shocked that an "experienced" contractor would double the price. He said it wasnt worth his time and he would walk away and we could find someone else if we couldnt pay the $900. He said his daily rate is $350 and he expected to finish the project in just over a day...... I spoke to my husband and we agreed that we could pay $800 (but honestly were still in shock) He then told me he needed $300 right then or he would walk away. I told him I would give him $250 since at that point I wasn't sure if he really would be coming back and he said " thats ok Ill pack up now"... so bottom line is that he wanted to get the most money from us that day and didn't intend on coming back..... I was really looking forward to using him on some other projects and recommending him... guess i need to find a new handyman... read more

I can not give Dwayne and his son enough praise for what they did for my new business(home). First and foremost they both are so friendly it was like I was talking to my own family. Not only is Dwayne honest and about providing the BEST option for my family and I but the work is amazing. I couldn't have hit a better GOLD mine by calling him when I did. I was so excited to come up with more work for him to do once he left, not because of his hospitality to me but his passion and eagerness to even show me what should and should not be done. This type of person is very rare, I already have listed another set of jobs to be done. Honestly If you are looking for a the best price and even better work, this is who you should call. I mean I too am trying to save as much money as I can but I want QUALITY work before ever having to call another person do what the first should have done. So I am a VERY happy customer and will continue to do business with Sherman Services. Thank you again Dwayne and Son (sorry I did not get your name). See you both soon. P.S. Paris Says hi. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dwayne. I searched for a handyman on Yelp, Angie's List, and Google when I found Dwayne. I needed an in-wall doggie door installed in my home in Rancho Cucamonga. I called several people. Some had no experience with this job and others never responded to me. I am also picky and fairly type A when it comes to making changes to my home. Dwayne answered the phone right away, had experience with dog door install, gave me a fair quote, and was available within a few days to complete the job. He texted me when he was on his way, which I really appreciated. When he arrived, he got right to work. It wasn't the easiest job, however, he completed it to my exact specifications. It looked great afterwards and was exactly how I wanted. He had great attention to detail, even cleaning the area before leaving. While at my house, Dwayne noticed a safety issue with the electrical outlets in my kitchen. He offered to fix it at no charge before he left. He completely went above and beyond. To say I was impressed is an understatement! Dwayne was professional, personable, and honest. He is a retired elementary school teacher who wanted a career change and now runs Sherman Services with his wife and older sons. He clearly takes pride in his work and wants to make his customers happy. I highly recommend giving Dwayne a call. I'm happy I have found someone I can turn to for future fix-it or home cleaning needs. He is the type of guy and small business I want to support. read more

I have used Dwayne on 3 occasions. He is what you hope for in a handyman. I used Dwayne for hanging a flat screen tv, hanging a large mirror, hanging a floating cabinet, installing track lighting, completing a new 70 yard wood fence in our backyard, electrical work, drywall patch up, finishing up wood base the water heater sits on that another contractor couldn't do and interior painting. From every encounter he has been courteous, respectful and honest. His pricing is fair and reasonable. His work is good and thoughtful. He knows what he is doing. He treats your task like he's doing it for his own home. He certainly takes time in completing the job but he gets it done right, I would rather sacrifice time than getting poor work. Selfishly I hope he doesn't choose another profession because I plan on using him again. read more

I called Dwayne because of the ratings he has received and I'm really glad I did. We have a small apartment complex that needed several things repaired, for 3 different tenants, Dwayne was very accommodating and coordinated the appointments...saving me a lot of time. He is very honest with his evaluation of needed repairs, quick to get them completed and reasonable with his rates. We have him coming back for more projects and will definitely keep using his services. Thank You. read more

I've had Dwayne work on a few things for me, and every single time he's been consummate professional. Regardless of the task, he knows exactly what he is doing and how to go about doing it in the most efficient way. Dwayne takes pride in his work and will not only make sure that you are happy with the job, but that it is perfect. For instance, for my recent shower panel, he stayed past his estimated time because he felt like the panel wasn't perfectly flush with the wall, and he went above and beyond working on it. Contacting and scheduling him to come by was a breeze. If you have anything that needs fixing around the house, Dwayne is the person to call. read more
