This time I had him come out and flush my water heater system which needs to be annually checked upon so that no hard residue builds up in there to keep it in good condition. Dwayne called me as soon as the bad review posted. He genuinely apologized and expressed his frustration for not being able to follow through the first time around. He scheduled a return date for 08/16/17, he was punctual and true to his word, refined the sealing job, made the screws flush with the panel and filled them up. After I called and told him we needed his services, he asked for pictures of areas needing work and a description of what needed to be done(he's very detail oriented, which is awesome). He was very friendly over the phone and a pleasure to have in my home. Normally having a service performed in your house is met with awkwardness, at least for me. Dwayne was very talkative both about the job at hand and about life in general. He was very happy to meet our cats and just had a general aura of being genuine. We have old, cheap copper pipes that were leaking at the lines that needed a unique solution and Dwayne was able to provide the solution. He did a great job with the repair and also took care of the mold problem that the leak had created. We just had new laminate floors installed in our whole house and the dust from grinding the high points in the concrete floors and sawdust from undercutting the door jams coated the walls and ceilings. After day one of installation (Thursday) we knew we needed help cleaning our house. My husband called the larger corporate cleaning companies and they either didn't work on Saturday, didn't have anyone available for a one time cleaning or didn't wipe down ceilings and walls. Then he found Sherman Services on Yelp and gave them a call. Rebekah came the same day to see the condition of the house house. She gave us a reasonable quote to clean the whole house, including wiping down the walls and ceilings for that Saturday. Rebekah brought a large enough crew to clean our 1600 sf house in four hours. They were very careful of our antique furniture and the new floors. Our whole house was deep cleaned and smelled great when they were done. We are so pleased! I would highly recommend their services. We hired Dwayne a few weeks ago. He quoted us $450 to put together a gazebo. 3 hours into the second day he said the job was too much work and he needed to double the cost to $900. I was shocked that an "experienced" contractor would double the price. He said it wasnt worth his time and he would walk away and we could find someone else if we couldnt pay the $900. He said his daily rate is $350 and he expected to finish the project in just over a day...... I spoke to my husband and we agreed that we could pay $800 (but honestly were still in shock) He then told me he needed $300 right then or he would walk away. I told him I would give him $250 since at that point I wasn't sure if he really would be coming back and he said " thats ok Ill pack up now"... so bottom line is that he wanted to get the most money from us that day and didn't intend on coming back..... I was really looking forward to using him on some other projects and recommending him... guess i need to find a new handyman... read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dwayne. I searched for a handyman on Yelp, Angie's List, and Google when I found Dwayne. I needed an in-wall doggie door installed in my home in Rancho Cucamonga. I called several people. Some had no experience with this job and others never responded to me. I am also picky and fairly type A when it comes to making changes to my home. Dwayne answered the phone right away, had experience with dog door install, gave me a fair quote, and was available within a few days to complete the job. He texted me when he was on his way, which I really appreciated. When he arrived, he got right to work. It wasn't the easiest job, however, he completed it to my exact specifications. It looked great afterwards and was exactly how I wanted. He had great attention to detail, even cleaning the area before leaving. While at my house, Dwayne noticed a safety issue with the electrical outlets in my kitchen. He offered to fix it at no charge before he left. He completely went above and beyond. To say I was impressed is an understatement! Dwayne was professional, personable, and honest. I used Dwayne for hanging a flat screen tv, hanging a large mirror, hanging a floating cabinet, installing track lighting, completing a new 70 yard wood fence in our backyard, electrical work, drywall patch up, finishing up wood base the water heater sits on that another contractor couldn't do and interior painting.
