He scheduled a return date for 08/16/17, he was punctual and true to his word, refined the sealing job, made the screws flush with the panel and filled them up. He was very friendly over the phone and a pleasure to have in my home. Normally having a service performed in your house is met with awkwardness, at least for me. Dwayne was very talkative both about the job at hand and about life in general. He was very happy to meet our cats and just had a general aura of being genuine. We have old, cheap copper pipes that were leaking at the lines that needed a unique solution and Dwayne was able to provide the solution. He did a great job with the repair and also took care of the mold problem that the leak had created. We just had new laminate floors installed in our whole house and the dust from grinding the high points in the concrete floors and sawdust from undercutting the door jams coated the walls and ceilings. After day one of installation (Thursday) we knew we needed help cleaning our house. My husband called the larger corporate cleaning companies and they either didn't work on Saturday, didn't have anyone available for a one time cleaning or didn't wipe down ceilings and walls. Then he found Sherman Services on Yelp and gave them a call. Rebekah came the same day to see the condition of the house house. She gave us a reasonable quote to clean the whole house, including wiping down the walls and ceilings for that Saturday. Rebekah brought a large enough crew to clean our 1600 sf house in four hours. They were very careful of our antique furniture and the new floors. Our whole house was deep cleaned and smelled great when they were done. We are so pleased! I would highly recommend their services. We hired Dwayne a few weeks ago. He quoted us $450 to put together a gazebo. 3 hours into the second day he said the job was too much work and he needed to double the cost to $900. I was shocked that an "experienced" contractor would double the price. He said it wasnt worth his time and he would walk away and we could find someone else if we couldnt pay the $900. He said his daily rate is $350 and he expected to finish the project in just over a day...... I spoke to my husband and we agreed that we could pay $800 (but honestly were still in shock) He then told me he needed $300 right then or he would walk away. I told him I would give him $250 since at that point I wasn't sure if he really would be coming back and he said " thats ok Ill pack up now"... so bottom line is that he wanted to get the most money from us that day and didn't intend on coming back..... I was really looking forward to using him on some other projects and recommending him... guess i need to find a new handyman... read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dwayne. I searched for a handyman on Yelp, Angie's List, and Google when I found Dwayne. I needed an in-wall doggie door installed in my home in Rancho Cucamonga. I called several people. Some had no experience with this job and others never responded to me. I am also picky and fairly type A when it comes to making changes to my home. Dwayne answered the phone right away, had experience with dog door install, gave me a fair quote, and was available within a few days to complete the job. He texted me when he was on his way, which I really appreciated. When he arrived, he got right to work. It wasn't the easiest job, however, he completed it to my exact specifications. It looked great afterwards and was exactly how I wanted. He had great attention to detail, even cleaning the area before leaving. While at my house, Dwayne noticed a safety issue with the electrical outlets in my kitchen. He offered to fix it at no charge before he left. He completely went above and beyond. I have used Dwayne on 3 occasions. He is what you hope for in a handyman. I used Dwayne for hanging a flat screen tv, hanging a large mirror, hanging a floating cabinet, installing track lighting, completing a new 70 yard wood fence in our backyard, electrical work, drywall patch up, finishing up wood base the water heater sits on that another contractor couldn't do and interior painting. We hired this company to clean a residential investment property. We explained to them that we needed a general cleaning and also emailed photos of what we expected to be deep cleaned. This included standard appliances, such as the refrigerator, the oven +stove top, hood, washer and dryer, and microwave. We also asked for the mildew on the upper walls and ceiling above the master shower stall to be removed. Rebecca, the business owner's wife, asked to visit the property before giving us a quote. We agreed to her home inspection request and gave her access to the home. We allowed her to be at the home as long as she needed. Based on Rebecca's request to inspect the home prior to issuing a quote, one would expect that the quote ultimately furnished would be based on that inspection. This was NOT the case as explained down below. After Rebecca's home inspection, we were given one price and told that there was a possibility that they would go over 3 hrs. We were also told that if more time was needed, they would call at the 2 to 2 1/2 hour mark. So here's what actually happened: Rebecca calls us at the 3 hour mark and said they were going to need another 3 hours to complete the cleaning. That amounted to 6 hours - DOUBLE the amount of their quote. When we questioned Dwayne, the husband, about this overage, he indicated that the quote that they gave was strictly based on a 3 hour time-frame. He also indicated at that time that they would normally charge more for the size of house that we had. So in my simple mind, why wouldn't they price that into the quote from the get go? They ended billing us for almost 4 hours of work and didn't finish cleaning the master bathroom (left substantial mildew under the shower stall door). They also didn't deep clean (let alone even clean) any of the kitchen appliances, the washer, and the dryer as specified. They also didn't touch the 4th bedroom. Rebecca pointed out that in order to finish all of this, they would need another 3 hours. Also, for this cleaning job, they employed a relative, their son, and their daughter. Dwayne called it a "family" business. That said, both of the kids did not appear to be of legal age to work. Bottom line. If you are expecting a professional staff to clean your property and a somewhat accurate quote, I would go elsewhere. read more
