We simply decided to begin pre-marital counseling because we valued talk therapy and figured it could only be healthy. Little did we know how many communication breakdowns we would be empowered to identify and improve week-after-week. The laughter and tears and happiness and anger which we are free and safe to express with Aysha -- and use to become closer to one another -- is priceless. Aysha has become a crucial part of our relationship. We regularly walk away from our sessions with so much to talk about and in a great place to share our feelings even better than before. And through our weeks, we consistently recall her counseling and refer to her insight. She is truly adept at listening to us and understanding us, but most important, she's helped us better listen and understand each other. I would recommend her to any couple in any level of satisfaction. She's helped us grieve through loss and celebrate each other alike.

I like her so much that I've navigated and fought through a myriad of insurance issues, including having to suck up and pay out-of-pocket for services. Aysha has been so wonderful and understanding through it all, and of course has continued to help me sort out all kinds of long and short-term issues that have prompted me to see therapy. She has flexible hours (LOVE Saturday appointment availability) and is very responsive to emails and phone calls/texts. In short, I would recommend her (and Simply Counseling) without reservation. Oh, have I mentioned that I'm a mental health professional myself? :)

Barbaba Noonan emailed me saying she had 10 am and noon slot open for that day. After emailing back and forth with her, we agreed on meeting at 10 am on October 4th. She didn't show up on that day and sent me link for 8 am meeting for next day. I had asked her via email to send me the meeting link for the day we agreed to meet. She didn't respond and wasted my time by not appearing. On 5th of October she emailed me and tried to push me into meeting with her. I called to urban balance to refund the amount that I had pre paid for the meeting but they kept me telling I should contact billing department. WHY SHOULD I SPEND MY TIME TO CONTACT ANYONE WHEN ITS THEIR FAULT? I emailed back to the therapist to not push me into getting myself for the meeting that we did not agreed upon with a screenshot of our prior email in which she had agreed to have a meeting on 4th of October. The therapist didn't even bothered to apologize for wasting my time and money. She has now scheduled 3 more appointments with me which I can see on my urban balance dashboard. I am mind-blown with her audacity. I wanted to love this place but they are irresponsible bunch of people.

She strikes the perfect balance between sharp insight and genuine compassion. She's relatable, down-to-earth, and refreshingly free of pretension--yet her expertise shines through in every session. One moment with Dr. Crowley that I will never forget was when I was struggling to define myself by my circumstances after brain surgery, feeling stuck and disconnected from who I had been before. I had to stop working and had some issues with my vision and it was difficult as someone in my 30s. She gave me an analogy that changed my perspective completely: she said to think of my life as a football field, and that it wouldn't be fair to judge myself solely by the last 10 (or 20?) yards without looking at the whole field. That insight has stayed with me for all these years, and it still reminds me to see my life in its full, rich context. If you're looking for someone who will truly listen, challenge you in meaningful ways, and help you grow, Dr. Crowley aka Maggie is it. She's exceptional at what she does, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. I still think about her advice and the progress we made. She is phenomenal.

I've known her some some years now and can say that she's one of those psychologists who "gets it." None of the theoretical, let's blame it on your mother stuff. It's more about identifying the problem and working on a practical solution and getting on with your life in a better and happier way. She uses some traditional psychology methods but has also incorporated meditation techniques that really work on stress. In Lincoln Square so easy to get to by car or El. Thumbs up for Maggie.
