Michael is both. This is something rare to find that I've searched high and low for and I'm so thankful to have found Michael. Over the years I've suffered from anxiety, depression, family problems, relationship hardships, type 1 diabetes, and struggles with everyday life and life purpose. Michael has helped me get through all of these things! When I moved to LA for a few years I knew I wasn't going to be able to still keep my biweekly sessions with Michael and I was nervous I wouldn't be able to find another therapist like him and I didn't! If you love dogs, Denise brings her dog to every appointment. Denise's dog is well behaved and his calming nature helps me a ton. Therapy dogs are no joke! They do help people a ton. Their new location provides a ton of free street and neighborhood parking. If you don't have a car, they're right next to a bus stop on Armitage, so convenience is still there. This practice really cares about their clients on all levels (ex. mental, financial, emotional, and etc), so don't be afraid to try this practice. Plus, they have been really flexible with scheduling, which is a characteristic that other practices don't have (Trust me, I've checked).

The experience had such a profound negative impact on my mental health, that after ending therapy with Amanda, I sought care from another therapist to help me process and recover from what I experienced during "treatment". I try to exercise care when writing reviews such as this one, but this is the type of therapist that you should avoid at all cost. She has, what I believe to be, a deeply rooted bias against men.

I have NOT gotten a single bill - even after asking for them. I have asked that they stop charging my card without sending me a bill, and that has not been honored! The stress of this billing department easily beats out any benefit from my counseling!
