I went to CWHC after several years of no health…read morecare whatsoever, and received no judgement or preaching about that; in fact, they were super understanding and affirming of the challenges and barriers I and others have faced in getting care. All my concerns were totally heard out, and I never felt forced or pressured to do anything I felt uncomfortable with. I was given clear expectations and multiple options at every step of the exam to make sure I was never surprised or uncomfortable. By the end of my visit, I had answers about my issues as well as a clear, manageable plan for my care going forward and backups in case Plan A didn't work out. CWHC is a haven for people who have had barriers or negative experiences with health care, and they are doing amazing work to provide care to people. I wish every health care institution was like CWHC, because they are providing the kind of dignifying, respectful, and accessible health care that everyone deserves.

I hadn't been to see a gynecologist in a while, so I had a lot to talk go over in my appointment. The staff were all patient and kind and made sure to hear everything I had to say. The exam was explained every step of the way so there were no surprises; something I really appreciated. I have since returned for another appointment to address a concern I was having, and everyone there was extremely helpful with all of my questions and endless phone calls. I'm so glad to have a reliable healthcare provider, especially with all of the uncertainty of the times we are in. When I expressed concern that I was potentially losing my health insurance after being furloughed, they explained their sliding scale model and assured me to never cancel an appointment for the reason of not being able to afford it, because they will always work the patients to make it work. I feel so supported and comfortable with CWHC!

The atmosphere is beautiful, peaceful, and inviting, and you can really tell that a lot of thought and care went into creating the space. Everyone I've interacted with has been kind, professional, and genuinely caring. I never feel rushed or like I'm just another person coming through the door. There's a level of warmth and attention here that really stands out. I also really appreciate that Astute offers so much more than traditional counseling. Having different wellness services available in one place makes it so much easier to prioritize yourself and your overall well-being. Whether you're looking for support, trying to take better care of yourself, or simply need a space where you can breathe, reset, and focus on YOU, I definitely recommend Astute. It's honestly such a beautiful addition to the community, and I'm so glad I found them. If you've been thinking about checking them out, take this as your sign! 10/10 experience and absolutely deserving of 5 stars!

They explain movements clearly, offer helpful modifications, and create an environment where everyone feels welcome. The overall vibe here is just unmatched. The yoga recovery candlelight classes, in particular, feel like a true reset. I leave those sessions feeling calm, centered, and relaxed for the rest of the evening. Astute offers something genuinely special, and I would confidently recommend it 5 out of 5. You can generally park right out front with city parking. So you never have to worry about circling the block and worrying about being late.

My plan for the day was to go in, get a health screening, and then get started on PrEP. But so much more happened. I was greeted by wonderful staff, and despite the many people waiting for service, I did not wait very long at all. I got an appointment for an hour later, and was able to go and enjoy lunch down the street. And upon coming back, I only waited about 15 minutes, and was then taken to the back by a wonderfully funny and lighthearted nurse. We connected so quickly and she made me feel comfortable right away. She walked me through everything, and helped calm my nerves. The doctor was amazing. She was so kind, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She even recommended that I get the MPV since I am new to the city. I got the vaccine, and although I am experiencing some pretty shitty side effects, I am glad to help limit the spread. I typically have horrible luck when it comes to getting blood work. I have fainted before and I have stubborn veins, but the nurse that took my blood got it on the first try, and everything was so quick an easy. There was a Walgreens located in the building and although there was some conflict in terms of my insurance, I got my PrEP. I trust this place so much and will recommend it to everyone who is looking for affordable, amazing health care.

You call and ask if they test for HSV, and they say yes, but when you go in, they refuse to test for it saying it's against protocol, as if it isn't an STD. Some providers seem a little more judgmental than others. Though most of the staff is personable and kind, what they offer isn't as thorough as it once was.

We simply decided to begin pre-marital counseling because we valued talk therapy and figured it could only be healthy. Little did we know how many communication breakdowns we would be empowered to identify and improve week-after-week. The laughter and tears and happiness and anger which we are free and safe to express with Aysha -- and use to become closer to one another -- is priceless. Aysha has become a crucial part of our relationship. We regularly walk away from our sessions with so much to talk about and in a great place to share our feelings even better than before. And through our weeks, we consistently recall her counseling and refer to her insight. She is truly adept at listening to us and understanding us, but most important, she's helped us better listen and understand each other. I would recommend her to any couple in any level of satisfaction. She's helped us grieve through loss and celebrate each other alike.

I like her so much that I've navigated and fought through a myriad of insurance issues, including having to suck up and pay out-of-pocket for services. Aysha has been so wonderful and understanding through it all, and of course has continued to help me sort out all kinds of long and short-term issues that have prompted me to see therapy. She has flexible hours (LOVE Saturday appointment availability) and is very responsive to emails and phone calls/texts. In short, I would recommend her (and Simply Counseling) without reservation. Oh, have I mentioned that I'm a mental health professional myself? :)
