My pet had allergies that we thought was only food induced. It was because of the Dogwood Staff and careful monitoring/observation did we find my dog also allergic to fresh cut grass. It took us a few stays to find out, but the staff helped us figure out this mystery. After each stay, I opt in to my dog receiving a bath. She smells amazing after, better than the other grooming location I bring her to. I know four other pet parents who were also satisfied with their service and brings their pets here as well. The requirements for your pets is clear and easy to follow. Initially, I was worried about my pet due to hearing horror stories at other boarding locations. BUT DOGWOOD RANCH, I always feel reassured that my pet is at her own vacation with caretakers that care about her. If I can give more than 5 stars I would!

I dropped off a blank slate and picked up a (slightly larger) puppy with more commands than I knew what to do with. The pickup session was clear, informative, and they patiently walked me through the pertinent things my pup had learned. I continued the sessions and have been going for the past year. Highly recommend at least 5 sessions after board + train so that you can get up to speed with all the things your dog has learned. If you do the homework and give it 5-10 minutes a day - it will change you and your dog's lives. Admittedly, there are still things my pup randomly seems to know that I later find out she learned in Board + Train as a 4 month old. Overall, this is the best place to send your pup. Responsive, punctual, extremely clean, and strangers will routinely tell you how well-behaved your dog is (if you do everything Rich tells you to do :)

We met Megan before the pandemic when searching for an off leash trainer for our older corgi. After a 2 week boot camp with Megan, Nilla was a different dog (in all the right ways). She was still loyal, loving, and attached to her family, but she was also obedient and finally a pleasure to walk and take to busy places like parks and shopping centers. When we got our second dog it wasn't even a question.. He went for training as soon as he was past puppyhood. Beyond training, Megan has cared for our dog while traveling for many weeks. There's a lot of places to choose from. This place looked very similar to other dog boarding homes, the floor is worn from a lot of dogs and it's not sparkling clean. But those things don't matter as long as my dog is safe and happy when I get back from Vacation! Glad we found this place close to home.

My…read morefamily was taking a 2 week long vacation over Christmas and New Year's and we needed to find accommodations for my girl Blue, a rescue 4 year old lab with allergies. She's stayed at Sweet Doggies, which is fine, but for 2 weeks, I wanted to find a place that was more like a home and not a boarding establishment. Honestly, I'm not even sure how MDAB showed up on my feed because they are about an hour away from us, but I am so glad it did. We did a meet and greet and right off the bat, you could tell that they love what they do, and that they love the dogs and all animals. The first couple nights, Blue was a bit anxious but Sandra and Joel made her feel comfortable. Also we are able to manage her skin allergies at home, but they flared up while boarding, and they took care of her. I loved being able to watch videos on Instagram. Sandra is also a retired vet tech so you know you the dogs are in good hands. I only wish we weren't so far from each other so we could use them more often!
