I can't thank Megan enough for putting me on the right track with my precious golden boy, Reggie. In one short week, we are looking so good at the beach and park with our beginner commands...Heel, Come, Sit, Off, Out, and Break...not to mention his door and food manners. I loved how Megan kept me up to date with pictures and videos of Reggie's progress and how comfortable she made me feel with adapting to the technique. I've had him home just 3 days now, and I feel the bond growing between me and my dog because now we have an effective way to communicate. I'm pretty sure Reggie misses Megan and all her animals and family, but we'll schedule another week or two with her because I'm convinced he was in HOG HEAVEN at her RANCH!!

Megan took him to the beach - he'd never been to the beach and he loved it!

After my 5-year-old chocolate lab "Fletch" bit 3 different delivery truck drivers, I knew it was past time to acknowledge that we had failed to train him properly. I felt terrible that he had hurt people and was determined to make it right. My dad told me about Central Coast after friends of his sent their dog to them and had amazing results. So I called right away and spoke at length to Megan. She was very sympathetic and understanding and described the process Fletch would go through at their 2-week program. While it felt like a lot of money to spend, the possibility of having a dog I could confidently take anywhere without fear of him hurting anyone was beyond worth it... And now I'm so grateful I made the decision to send Fletch. The 2 weeks he was at Central Coast, Megan sent me photos and videos every day with updates on his progress. Honestly, Fletch looked so happy in these photos that I wondered if he'd even want to come home. But when we picked him up after he "graduated", he was very happy to see us and showed off all his new "tricks"... No more pulling on the leash, no more screaming for him to come while he ignores us, no more charging strangers and barking like crazy. He was (and remains) a happy, pleasant, calm, loving companion. For the first time, we can take Fletch to outdoor restaurants and he lays down contently at our feet. Other diners actually approach us to compliment Fletch on how well behaved he is! I can't even believe they're talking about my dog! Our family will be forever grateful to Megan and Central Coast for their loving and effective training. We have a furry member of the family who can finally go places with us and give & receive love from others. Can't recommend them enough!

    Our one eyed sweetheart.

Tess is amazing! I am so grateful for her help. I was on the last straw with my reactive dog. she was affirming & patient & believed in both me & my dog. He has made amazing progress. Another life we helped to save. Offleash is a great company - reasonably priced, very responsive & great communication with email & text reminders. Very polite in interactions as well. Not pushy! I would absolutely use them again & have already started recommending them to my friends.

Very surprised to see that Central Coast off leash K9 Trainings name on Yelp was changed so much. Molly B. Owner- as you know the E-collar was used on my beagle during "training" and when returned she has experienced extreme anxiety. I spoke to one of your colleagues and she was not helpful at all. She seemed not to care, and only focused on the E-collar and how good my dog seemed to do. My dog has been in and out of the vet along with medication Trazodone and Prozac because of her anxiety she developed from the E-collar. I'm writing this to inform other dog owners of the danger of the E-collar ca do. You have never ever reached out to me, that is a complete lie! And you know it. You just reached out now because I posted a negative review on yelp, about the abuse of the E-collar. And even if you did reach out, but you didn't! Why would I put my dog thru your course again using the E-collar if that was the cause of her extreme anxiety! Your just out to rip people off and in the long run damage their loving pet with the E-collar. May be you should have one in so we can come to an agreement!!! BEAWARE Molly B- is trying to push this issue off. She knows the effect it can have long term on the animal. Please be aware of these E-collars. They have changed there name quite a few times, that's a RED flag. They are not even listed as a business with the BBB. Another RED flag! PLEASE KEEP YOUR PET SAFE AND AWAY FROM E-COLLARS

Max off leash, waiting patiently for me.

I found Off Leash K9 Training after trying everything else. Our GSP was loveable and friendly but very stubborn and scent focused with lots of energy. I was skeptical but desperate when we agreed to send him to Jillian for a week. I liked her immediately and trusted she would care well for our Max. Every day we got photos and a progress report and it was obvious that Jillian enjoyed working with him and was making progress. After 7 days, we had a 2 hour debrief where I learned how to keep the training going. The difference is night and day. We can now take walks with ease, go hiking with Max off-leash, keep Max out of the kitchen and calm when meeting new dogs and people. I cannot recommend highly enough!!

My dog Euro (a Belgian Malinois) and I just wrapped up our 8 week "Aggressive" Dog Training lessons with Kaitie in Santa Cruz, CA. The key issues I faced were anxiousness, inconsistent listening with commands, reactivity with dogs, motorcycles, skateboards etc. I have always felt Euro is very smart but if you know anything about Malinois you know they can be challenging. I noticed a difference in my dog after the first lesson and let me tell you if you are skeptical of the E- Collar it is a GAME CHANGER. Kaitie even helped demonstrate on myself with the collar what the dog would be feeling which provided a lot of comfort for me personally before using it. In addition, she also made sure my dog understood the commands before using the E-Collar for commands which I was incredibly happy to see. While I wanted a dog that listened, I did not want a robot of a dog or to achieve this unfairly. Every lesson was valuable, including our final one (one of my favorites). One thing I learned from working with Kaitie is that dog training is an ongoing process. Regardless if someone decided to sign up for Board and Train or Individualized Lessons it is our responsibility as owners to continue training with them long after. It is impossible to recreate or find every situation you may encounter in the real world but working with Kaitie has prepared me with the knowledge and an amazing foundation to know what to do when certain situations arise. As of writing this there are not many reviews for lessons but if you are considering the lessons instead of the Board and Train because you want to save money, enjoys training with your dog personally, have multiple dogs or any other reason and are wondering if the Individual Lessons are as good as the Board and Train let me tell you... THEY ARE. Secondly, my dog was 6 at the time we started so if you are someone who thinks it may be too late or your dog is too old... THEY ARE NOT! However, as Beth mentioned when I inquired, it is your job to do the homework between lessons. Kaitie was always honest when I would ask questions which I am super appreciative of and did an excellent job communicating between lessons whether I had questions or needed to reschedule. I thoroughly enjoyed our lessons together. She allowed us to focus on things that I wanted after the basics to respect and maximize our time together. The conversations with Kaitie while training were worth the money alone. I am incredibly grateful to not only have found Off-Leash but Kaitie specifically. This training has provided both Euro and I a higher quality of life and I cannot wait to continue learning and adventuring through life together. If you have any questions about my experience, feel free to reach out to me here or Euro himself at @eurothebelgiank9 on Instagram. Happy training and don't forget HAVE FUN!

We put our 6 month old (at the time) European Doberman in this training program because he was terrible at walking. He would pull so much and cry at every dog passing by. His trainer Sara did wonders with our boy Rocko! She sent us progress videos every day and let us know how his training was going. We are still working on the crying part but he's doing so much better on walks. He no longer pulls and is easier to walk. we have a one year old son and I like to go on walks everyday but sometimes my husband works and can't come with us. I used to be scared to go alone with the dog because he would always pull and weighs Almost 90 pounds but I feel a lot more comfortable going alone with the dog and my son. We are grateful for Sara and appreciate all the work she put into our puppy Rocko (:

We are so thankful for Tess! Our dog was well behaved indoors but the minute she got outside she had no recall and her leash pulling was insane. We tried everything to correct it and came upon Off Leash K9 Training. We were initially hesitant about an e collar but after looking into it and talking to some staff members felt better and decided to give it a go. Our dog did great in the one week board and train. She loves Tess and we received daily updates showing her progress. Since she has been home she walks comfortably on a leash, will sit and stay until told otherwise, can roam the beach off leash and will quickly respond to come, and no longer pulls to meet other dogs or animals we come upon on our walks and runs. We are so happy we made the decision to enroll our pup in this class and look forward to eventually using our refresher courses with Tess! Cannot recommend enough.

We had a great experience with Megan (from Gilroy) and the Off Leash team! I had tried working with our big boy Winston (a 1-1/2 yr old Bernedoodle) by myself for some time before i reached out to Off Leash for help. The very first time i called i was feeling pretty defeated and overwhelmed, i just didn't know what i was doing and wasn't getting anywhere. After speaking with them on the phone i felt so much better and actually had some hope that walking without having our limbs pulled off could be possible (among other things- he loved to bolt out the door and it was a wild chase to catch him). We booked Winston into the 1 Week Board & Train program and could not be happier with our new and improved boy! Megan was a pleasure to work with- She kept us up to date daily and was very helpful and informative with any questions/concerns we had. Winston learned a ton and now walks on a loose leash, we can let him off leash without the worry of him running off, and he is really good at place and extended sit/down. Megan made sure we were equipped with the necessary knowledge to continue working with Winston, so that his newly learned skills can become his new habits moving forward. We would 100% recommend Megan & the Off Leash team and are so grateful to them for turning our boy around :)

My puppy Rowdy mastering the command of "place" at our second lesson.

Excellent and professional. Our trainer Meghan was incredibly knowledgable and patient. My puppy literally went from uncontrolable to completely manageable in four private lessons. He is now proficient in the commands of sit, come, heel, off and place.

When Brent found Tala, she was in a heartbreaking situation--essentially feral and abandoned by the side of a highway, just days away from being euthanized. Thanks to Brent's dedication and expertise, she not only got a second chance at life, but she became the most well-behaved and gentle dog we've ever met. Tala is a Husky-Samoyed mix, and from the moment we brought her home, it was clear she had been given an amazing foundation. She walks like a dream--both on and off leash--has zero reactivity, and greets every person and animal she encounters with calm friendliness. She's completely potty and crate trained, follows commands effortlessly, and doesn't jump or vocalize unnecessarily. She's also wonderfully affectionate and incredibly food motivated, which makes bonding with her a joy. What amazes us most is how Brent managed to shape her behavior so thoughtfully without dulling her spirit. Tala still has all the bright, clever, loving traits that make her such a unique and special companion. She's seamlessly become part of our family, and we truly can't imagine life without her. Brent is nothing short of a miracle worker, and we wholeheartedly recommend Ace Dog Training to anyone looking to adopt or train a dog with kindness, skill, and heart. Thank you, Brent, for giving Tala--and us--such a beautiful new beginning.
