We had a nice table overlooking the restaurant. Drinks were fantastic, even though they took longer than expected, but the server came by to let us know they were in process. Everyone commented on how great their food was. My steak was perfect. A little different having three different people wait on us, but we all loved it!

The hostesses served us all a complimentary, sparkling non alcoholic "appletini" while our seating was arranged. We had the Bang Bang Chicken and Korean Fried Cauliflower as an appetizer. Both were appealing to the eye with the perfect amount of spice. Being from the south and wanting a menu item the farthest from a curry dish, I ordered the Blackened Chicken which is served on a mound of warm potato salad and a slaw. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The spices and flavors melded together nicely and the portion was more than plentiful. For dessert, my daughter and I shared the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. It was very decadent and a nice treat with the fresh raspberries & Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream. I had an Americano Coffee to balance out the sweet. Our hostess Ashley was young, fun and personable who enjoys her job, which is rare but so refreshing. Her sincerity definitely enhanced the culinary experience. I may never get back to Calgary, Alberta, Canada but my last dinner there will forever remain a good memory.

I did a comparison of earls and cactus club to compare food quality, service and ambiance in Calgary North west as several establishments are within 5 minutes drive of one another and a Joeys next door to this Earls Took awhile for my server to attend and it was not very busy I ordered the same dish (Steak frites) at each establishment and here is my feedback taking into consideration variances in cuts of meat as I'm going to assume the suppliers may be the same I prefer Cactus Club as although it is more expensive at $34 vs the $28 here at Earls noting that the Cactus club version is 7 oz vs the 6 oz are Earls. I like the greens at CC better than the Earls kale mix. Fries were freshly made at both but CC beat out Earls on this front as well. So my take is this I love Earls as the gold standard for best Happy Hour meals for this category but this location seems lacking Case in point i asked my server if I may order the Wings but rather than Hot, I asked if they still did Salt and Pepper. I was told yes they offered it I got them but they were very poorly seasoned and lacked flavour. Not the case at other Earls As a regular at top tier Earls such as Vancouvers Yaletown and Burnabys Metrotown and Amazing Brentwood, this location needs an management review as they have fallen behind on the other "family" standards This review was done on a Wed night at 6ish non happy hour and it was only moderately busy whereas CC was jam packed last night at same time which echoes my sentiment that CC is much better and more popular than Earls in the NW All 3 facilities are "related" but I would go to CC given the proximity for quality of food, service and ambiance

Looks like Moxie has about 60 locations mostly in Canada and is a more upscale casual dining than Chili's etc. our particular restaurant was attached to a large hotel and it was decorated and presented very nicely. They all female weight staff wore cowboy hats and boots and were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurant etc. breakfast menu was not extensive but it had just about anything you could want in more traditional fare. My wife opted for the eggs Benedict and I had the traditional breakfast with three eggs choice of meat potatoes and some really good multigrain toast. Restaurant was fairly busy as lots of people attending the Calgary stampede were staying there. Pictures will speak for themselves and everything tasted as good as it looked and would love to come back to Moxie's for some other dining options such as lunch for dinner PS I ordered my breakfast with the chicken sausage and it came with three strips of bacon instead, I mentioned this to the waitress and she said would you like to keep and eat it and I'll get you some sausage and I said of course I would. Bacon was very tasty but I didn't feel the chicken sausage was flavored sufficiently
