Appetizers were good (wings, sushi, etc), Bigger Better Burger was pretty average, and service was decent! I'd go back and try something else next time! The Kung Pao Chicken looked really good.

Calgary's downtown food scene has evolved to a sophisticated global cuisine destination; and Earls has not struggled to fit in, after decades of leading most other local chains in Western Canada. This Stephen Avenue mall location amplifiés the hipster nouveau image of the brand, both in location and its international cuisine. The economy in Calgary isn't thriving these days; and it looks like Earls is adapting by making its menu accessible and diverse- especially in the mid-tier pricing department. The dining room decor is "hip urban chic" with large leather booths - offering the right amount of privacy and " see and be seen " communal tables and open spaces for the 5-7 après-work happy hour crowds. There are tv screens galore to keep the ambiance modern yet casual with the fully stocked bar area humming regularly. The menu is compact and uncomplicated - Earls still offers top notch steaks in various cuts including the famously giant " millionaires cut "; But, meatless, Vegan, Japanese, pan-Asian, Tex-mex, poké Bowls and pub fare items round out its "best of" world foodie selections. " Go to " appetizers like the Japanese dynamite roll ($15, is a conversation piece that doubles as an instagram-worthy dish; while the forno "oven baked" wings ($15) are very memorable with their ultra crisp skin and non soggy coating of sauces or salt&pepper, ummm ummm unmmm!!! Nice touch on the oven baked part too!!! We couldn't help but notice how The portions are quite generous and shareable for the price. And still with starters, of course, A frozen -15C icy night in Calgary would not be complete without a bowl of soup, and Earls didn't disappoint tonight with a heaping serving of clam chowder ($7). For the mains, the tuna poké bowl ($19.50) was fantastic and fresh; with its generous morcels of ultra tender tuna sashimi, sliced fresh avocados and radishes that were sitting comfortably on top of a sticky rice base...nice and light. The chicken kung pao noodle bowl ($21.50) was equally jaw dropping in both presentation and taste... oooof....#FoodPorn Typical of Earls culture, the wait staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to check in, making sure that nothing was amiss from us having a fantastic experience; soda drink refills abound. While Stephen Avenue is not hopping like in the booming oil days of 5 years ago; walking its sidewalks made us notice several equally modern looking restaurants sitting empty with eager employees waiting for patrons to hopefully enter by their doorways. Earls almost always usually appears packed; like this early evening - it makes for great atmosphere and a better overall experience, that's for sure! It seems that the right price pointed drink and food menu, combined with a pleasant atmosphere, and an unimposing hipster decor make this casual restaurant a habit forming meeting, dining and cocktail bar destination downtown...it's working! Keep it up Earls Stephen Avenue, We will see you again very soon! #FoodPorn #GoodFood #HipsterDestination

Good place to come for food and drinks on Stephen Ave. You can very easily book a table online or by phone. Service is friendly and sometimes you see the manager visiting the tables to make sure everything is good. Food is tasty, portions are decent and prices are acceptable. It has a nice atmosphere, restaurant looks clean and well lit. We went on a Saturday night and they had a DJ, so the music was a little louder but still manageable to have a conversation. I was satisfied with my meal, drinks and the whole experience. You can conveniently park at the CORE underground parking on evenings and weekends.

What's with the one stars here! Well Earls is Earls. Chain restaurant and I have been to so many Earls. To me they are pretty much the same and have that standard expectation (after going to so many). Came here for lunch. Service was ok. I came in here on Friday at 11am (right just after they opened.) We did have to somewhat kind of find a hostess and let her know we are here. Also because we entered in through the Banker Hall mall entrance, we didn't get service until we hunted someone down. Maybe we came too early. Server didn't come check up on us frequently so there were times when my drink was finish and I didn't get a refill. So I ordered the Baja Fish Taco with fries. Food was good and very standard. Only issue was it did take a while for it to come. Maybe because we were the first customer and they had to heat up the stove (maybe?). the fish was nicely battered and not soggy. This is a good thing. Décor was nice and clean. I sat on one of those booth seats. Overall, it was ok.

The food is consistently good. The menu is diverse yet simple without too many choices, which would be a red flag. To start, I had the dynamite roll. It was as good as any dynamite tool and a descent Japanese restaurant. Which is very hard to find East of Vancouver. They sure know know to make a salmon fillet! I ordered the Cajun Salmon Main Course. Somehow the salmon was crispy on the outside and well seasoned. Yet juicy and soft on the inside. Try pulling that off at home. Nearly impossible. I'd come back for a consistent, quality and fair priced meal under a nice modern ambiance.

    Dessert was yummy!

We were greeted by a group of bartenders (who all happened to be wearing toques) when we walked in, and I felt both welcomed and slightly out of place (no toque). The cocktails were meticulously crafted--priced at $15-20 a drink, it's on par with bigger cities like Vancouver and Toronto, but they also live up to the standard. Honestly, the highlight of our visit to Missy's was the Missy's This That charcuterie board. Each piece of cured meat was sliced impossibly thin, the olives were meaty and delicious, and the cheeses were carefully selected to complement everything. I loved that it also came with a side of thick cut bread and pickled vegetables. One of the best charcuterie boards I've had at a restaurant for sure. Not cheap but worth the pretty penny on a slightly fancy night out.

I'm always scared it's going to be overcooked, because at many restaurants the fish usually is, but this was perfectly grilled and well seasoned. I didn't think I would ever like banana in a cocktail, but it was absolute heaven. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. One of those drinks you think about ordering again halfway through. For food, I also had the braised short ribs, and they were excellent. Super tender, rich, and full of flavor. Definitely one of those comforting dishes that still feels elevated and well executed.
