With the lower back pain that comes and goes which was generated by some genetic bone shortage issues, I was rather skeptical but hopeful. Dr Jeremy had a plan for me that included in office visits and some homework (stretching, exercises) that helped the nerves heal faster. He has excellent bedside manner, making us feel comfortable for every adjustment, and performing the adjustments with care and precision. Anthem Blue Cross members beware! Dr. Behymer (who apparently shares an office and phone number with Dr. Steel) in in-network, but Dr. Steel is not. I found this practice online through Anthem and made an appointment because I had a pinched nerve in my neck. They made me pay up front and told me my insurance company would reimburse me (I am fully covered for in-network providers). But then the insurance company didn't cover because Dr. Steel is out of network! $170 for the first visit! What a rip-off! What's worse, he didn't help my neck but seemed to just want to sell me a year of treatment! It felt like a classic BAIT AND SWITCH. My insurance company said they could just re-bill, but the practice refused. In short, what a rip-off! read more

I got injured when I was snowboarding and was having severe back pain for about a month. A friend recommended to see Dr. Steel. I was impressed by her knowledge and professionalism. After an extensive (and impressive) initial exam Dr Steel adjusted my back three times a week. After two weeks my pain was gone !! I was so scared to get my neck adjusted, so Dr Steel figured out a way to adjust me and make me feel better without manual neck adjustment. I've been putting off going to a chiropractor for a few years, as I know its hard to find a good one. After doing a little research, and talking to Dr. Steele about his particular methods, I decided to go in for my initial examination. I couldn't believe how thorough Dr. Steele was in his exam. Always a skeptic of chiropractics in general, I have been blown away by Jeremy's professionalism, passion, knowledge and skills. I have been seeing Dr. Steel for several years now. Initially it was for low back pain and then general health. However, several weeks ago I took a bad fall down the stairs and twisted my neck. Dr. Steel came in early the following day to treat me and take x-rays to make sure there was nothing critically wrong - thank goodness, not! I've been dealing with chronic back issues for too many years (close to 20), and I've seen probably (conservatively) six chiropractors in that time. Dr. Jeremy Steel is by far the best! I came to him thanks to the recommendation of a friend. This treatment has been superior. Because of my issues, it's going to take a while to get me healthier, but just in the last 3 months (close to a dozen visits), I'm making progress and in much better shape than before. Dr. Steel is very friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable and perceptive. From my first visit, when I was in excruciating pain, he started to drill down to the core issues in no way that I've seen a doctor do before. He's amazing! And to top it off, each staff person (gotta include Jackie Steel too - she's so great!) is wonderful. They run a very tight ship. I went to Steel Chiropractic today with pain in my low back and with a rib hurting me in my upper back. My current chiropractor is on vacation and my husband referred me to Dr. Steel from his business group. I had such high hopes for this visit! I was expecting such relief! He explained to me that the x-rays and tests would cost $250.00, and the adjustment would be $60.00. I was in such pain that I kept thinking that it would be worth it if it would all take away the pain. I have never had x-rays done before either so I thought it would be really helpful. It ended up that my entire visit, 95% of it done in lots of pain, took 2 hours. The x-rays, the exams...all took a painfully long time. Then the explanation of the x-rays took about 5 minutes! I thought I would have something to take with me. I didn't even get a copy of the x-rays for $250.00. What? Nothing but the sales tactic of making me feel like crap so that he could tell me he could make me better. There was a lot of "look at all of these things that are wrong with you...oh, this is awful...but we can fix all of that with low monthly installments of $60.00 twice a week for 3 months". Again, What? Then once we finally got to the adjustment he was very rough, poked at my lower back while I screamed. I asked him to not do the abrupt adjustments that chiropractors do, but to use the hand held adjuster. He asked if he could just stretch the area and then jolted my back and caused my entire back to seize up. PAIN. When I got up I still felt the rib poking into my back and asked him if he could evaluate and adjust it. He said no!, Said it was just inflammation and there was nothing he could do. NOTHING. I was shocked. I've had my own chiropractor adjust this in the last 2 weeks and every time he is able to get the rib to go back. When I stumbled out of his office I was out a bunch of money, and was in MORE pain than when I went in. Don't get me wrong, he and the other doctor are very nice and explain everything very well. The actuality of the treatment is another thing all together. I am so very disappointed in the care that I received. I wouldn't even call it care, more like not care. I now have to try to find ANOTHER chiropractor to go to tomorrow to fix everything. I really miss my chiropractor. I can't wait until he comes back. read more
