I started treatment at with Jackson Chiropractic about six weeks ago. i've had huge success with recovering from serious sciatic nerve and back pain issues. Here's my story. I have been in construction for the last 30 years. I spent 20 years in the field which really pit a stain on my body. I am a very active/athletic guy. I played sports through high school. I ride off-road motorcycles. I also wakeboard and snowboard at a competitive level. My body has taken a beating from all the high impact sports. Over the years i've had many injuries to my back, hips and shoulders. I am currently 47 years old. Over the last five years my back pain and sciatic nerve pain has been extremely bad. On an average day my pain is between 5-7. But over the last six months my pain was constant at about 8 or 9 out of 10. I got to the point were I could hardly stand up straight, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't do my sports anymore because the pain was just unbearable. sitting for long periods of time just made it worse. stretches and exercising wasn't helping. I was ready to talk to my doctor about surgery but first my girlfriend suggested I see Gill at jackson chiropractic. I started treatment and got some relief the very first day, the pain relief lasted a few days. The second treatment the pain relief lasted a week. I could not believe it. I've since had six treatments and my pain level is only at a 2 out of 10 most days. it's absolutely Amazing what Gill has done to fix my lower back and sciatic nerve pain. This guy knows his stuff. I found Gil through word of mouth referral. Thank goodness for that! I've been dealing with knee joint pain for years to the point that I couldn't do my normal workouts anymore because lunging and squatting HURT! So a friend recommended that I see Gil and his NMR or Neuromuscular Re-education method. It's the deepest and most painful muscle work I've ever experienced! You want to cry but you know it also works. He gets in there and releases any scar tissue that's holding you back. When he's done exerting 2,000 pounds of pressure on you, you stand up and say, "Whoa! That totally feels so much better!!! Almost pain-free!" I've also had ultrasound machine work done on my knees. It's a very interesting sensation but after it's done, your knees feel young again. Like you can jump up onto the roof in a single bound. Gil knows what he's talking about. I had a great first experience with Gil Jackson. He is an excellent chiropractor who uses various tools, including shockwave therapy, to provide treatment. Gil is a miracle worker! Astounding improvement for very old injury. I had a foot injury/surgery that limited my ability to walk for longer than 30 min, do you yoga, ride a bike and other simple things. Gil is the 6th chiropractor that's been in my life. about 2 chiropractors ago I determined that some are okay, and some are mother effing geniuses. Since posting, I have been messaged by his office THREE times. I have a bill, he sent me $165 billed after being paid 405 by 21st Centrey Insurance. I sent, faxed a letter explaining that insurance companies dont pay marked up prices, and I was not paying the rest. I know his pricing for my co-worker was less. He knows what he did, I do not have to send the bill he sent me to prove anything. thinking of dropping to one star... I have seen Dr. Salem out of Walnut Creek for a sports injury a year or two before this, saw her three times and was done. Never paid high prices, exam, massage and adjustment, and sent me home with lotion to put on to help. Paid as I went, friendly clean office, one block over from Trader Joe's. I was not thinking when I got hurt, and that was my mistake, I should have just went and saw her. Gil is a great chiropractor. His treatments have been more helpful than any of the other chiropractic ones that I've tried. I'm old-ish (63) and quite active, so I have a lot of exercise-related aches and pains: sore shoulders, sore shins, sore elbows, you name it. When the pains get bad enough I make the schlep from Berkeley and hand Gil a laundry list. Most of the time, he figures out a way to relieve the pain. While he tailors the style of his treatments to the wishes of his clients, I always request that he takes an aggressive approach to my problems. Scar tissues need to be broken down, and he's extremely good at doing that; he's extremely skilled , and my crunched up, scarred body needs all the external strength and skill that can be applied to it. After two or three treatments, the pains usually diminish, and sometimes even go away. Gil is *very* generous with his time. He clearly likes his job, it's much more than just a way of making a living. Sometimes at the chiropractor's office, you get feel you are getting the ten minutes you paid for then that's the end of it. But in Gil's office, treatments are scheduled for 15 to 30 minutes. if the client that's scheduled after you is late, he'll probably just keep working on you until the next person shows up. read more

Gil came highly recommended by my sports masseuse, and the selling point was his chiropractic work with several Golden State Warriors at the time. I am generally in good shape, but lost momentum after shoulder surgery, and developed debilitating lower back pain from the down time. Prior to working with Gil, I was significantly depressed due to constant pain and the inability to enjoy an active lifestyle and resume my exercise routine. I had basically resigned myself to the fact I would have to live with this discomfort for the remainder of my life. I cannot recommend Gil Jackson highly enough. When I met Gil I was suffering from near constant migraines. 3-5 times a week I experienced debilitating headaches. Along with other aches and pains. Just saw Gil for my (wish it was more) regular chiropractic adjustment. I have had deep tissue work before, but Gil simply has the strongest hands out there. He has helped me so much with my TMJ problems, it's unreal. I'll walk into his office with my jaw hitching and crackling all over the place, and walk out with an easy to open, silent jaw! He breaks up my scar tissue like a champ. Gil is the TMD-whisperer. When he works on my jaw, he always adjusts my back -- I crackle like a bag of popcorn in the microwave. Also, I'm a long-distance runner and he does this magical foot adjustment that turns my lead feet into springs. Amazing! This is the only chiropractic office I will go to. Jackson Chiropractic is seriously the BEST at effective treatments for pain and injuries, whatever they might be. I have been a patient of Gil and Stacey's for over six years. I originally went to them through a recommendation of a coworker. At the time I was experiencing horrible migraine headaches caused by a car accident. I had been through physical therapy and more than a handful of different medications and was slowly going crazy (when your head hurts for multiple days at a time that can tend to happen!) Anyway, within ONE treatment my headache had been alleviated, something that physical therapy and strong pain killers had failed to do over months. ONE treatment! From then on I was a believer... Over the years I have seen Gil and Stacey for various injuries: back, neck, hip, foot and each time they have effectively and efficiently treated me. I have not been able to walk any further than 2-3 miles at a time over the past 2 1/2 years, and there were times when I could not walk at all. After a car accident, I came in to see Gil for my neck and back pain. Not only am I back up to 6 miles again, but for the first time in over two decades I can walk around, and not feel my neck and back constantly nagging at me. It's been a huge blessing. As many of you know, pain can be extremely draining and disheartening. In fact, I wasn't sure If I would ever be able to live pain free again - that is, until I came in to see Gil. Since I have been coming in to see Gil, I feel like I can get back to the world of the living, and without pain.
