Doctor Rehl keeps suprising me and messing up my view that most people are selfish jerks. He's already fixed my decrepit body twice and I go in for regular tune-ups. Recently, my partner's mom complained of a sciatica that wouldn't let her alone (what copy-cat!) and I immediately thought of Dr. Rehl, but I had misgivings because she's over 80. But her suffering and my partner convined me to make an appointment. As expected, Dr. Rehl did his thing: prod here, feel there, squeeze this, pull that. But unlike many doctors I've seen, he dapted to her frailty and complemented his professionalism with a big dose of gentle kindness. Dr. Rehl explained what he was about to do and why, then patiently waited for my partner and her sister to translate his words. This went on for a while. Dr Rehl is amazing! I've been struggling with an unusable thumb and wrist for almost 2 months. My GP ordered an Xray which showed nothing wrong so I was told to rest it and be patient. nothing had improved and seemed to be worsening so I tried Dr Rehl. I went in for a hiatal hernia and Dr. Rehl really got to know me and my medical history and he listened to my concerns and symptoms. He genuinely cared about me and my well being. I developed multiple, severe (anaphylactic) food allergies overnight as well as environmental allergies and thought I was going to die. I was extremely stressed out and desperate for someone to help me as I didn't know what I could eat or what I was allergic to. After seeing several doctors and an allergist (none of them could help me) I found Dr. Rehl. He used muscle testing to figure out that I had Candida and Leaky Gut Syndrome. He helped me figure out what I could safely eat so I was able to add foods back little by little. No other doctor would have been able to help me with this! Although he says he is not a food allergy expert, he is a Candida expert and is very successful at treating those with parasites and other issues relating to it. After a year of getting treated with whole food supplements and going on a strict anti-Candida diet, I had Dr. Rehl test me for the foods that I was allergic to and the testing showed that I was not allergic to anything. I even got retested at the allergist office. All of my food allergies were gone! I was allergic to peanuts, shellfish, wheat, and other things and the test showed that I was normal! Base on several yelp's reviews and researching other local chiropractors, I decided to try Dr Rehl after seeing two other chiropractors in the bay area. Those two other chiropractors were recommended by friends. After two and a half months of Dr. Rehl's treatment, my problematic shoulder had shown significant improvement. Dr. Rehl had been steadfast in finding the hidden reasons for the dysfunction and the chronic pain by using applied kinesiology, adjustment, massages that target the problem in my shoulder while other chiropractors had been prescribing other seemingly unrelated treatment regimen. My problem had been chronic, which I do not expect overnight cure. Dr Rehl had also been thorough in assessing my whole body's alignment and functions, then devised a treatment plan initially, which I did not expect because my previous two chiropractors had not furnished such plan. Dr. Michael Rehl is a "wizard" of a body detective. He LISTENS (that's a rare and wonderful thing among healers of ALL sorts), but to THAT (listening well) he adds his training in physiology, body mechanics and kinesiology. In particular, his use of kinesiological "muscle testing" to direct and fine-tune his chiropractic adjustments is quite amazing to experience. Dr. Rehl also seems to have a much broader repertoire of "adjustments" than that of any other chiropractors (or other bodywork people) I've seen before (all of whom, by the way, were quite good in their areas of expertise). The alignment of my body has greatly improved - in part from Dr. Rehl's direct corrective work on it, and in part because he diagnosed part of my chronic body "twist" from my having asymmetrical problems with my genetically flat feet. Dr. Rehl experimented with various types and amounts of shoe-lifts. This was VERY inexpensive and almost ridiculously effective. Now my body looks STRAIGHT in the mirror, I don't have the ribs on my upper left side "out" and painful all the time, and finally I am REALLY comfortable hitting the gym regularly (which always hurt too much to do before). After my knee injury (10 years ago), I went to three different physical therapists, all of whom did NOT help the knee, but DID seem to accelerate my body misalignment moving into my lower and upper back. I've had a great chiropractor (in another state) who could TEMPORARILY relieve some of my skeletal issues, but never seemed to really "fix" them. After a few months of seeing Dr. Rehl (every 2 to 4 weeks, for just 20-30 minutes), I am a different guy, with a body that is REALLY comfortable to live in. A real gift at age 62! read more
