I wanted to get a full, unbiased assessment of the condition of the house so I could move forward with repairs or modifications in a sensible and knowledgeable way. Mike was very thorough and checked every square inch of the house and explained each issue as he encountered it as well as record it for the report. He never seemed impatient with my questions and really took his time. There were a few areas that were difficult to access and instead of skipping over them, he helped took even more time to gain access. For example, there was a crawl space/attic only accessible by a small hatch that was completely stuck shut, even the inspector when I bought the house a decade ago didn't open it (and I am embarrassed to say I bought the house without it being opened), but Mike helped me gain access so he could check for water, mold, or structural issues. He also checked the roof, only accessible via a ladder. He was on time (actually sitting in his truck 10 minutes before the appointment time) and extremely respectful of covid-19 safety protocol. About four or five days later I got a lengthy report covering every issue, the severity, etc. Getting the inspection will save me thousands on getting wonky quotes or unnecessary work done. It also gave me an idea of what will come up in the buyer's inspection down the road. It was definitely a wise move as a seller and I absolutely would recommend him for buyers. He will leave no stone un turned. AND he's a contractor so he's not just checking boxes -- he has the expertise I needed. Well worth the expense.

You see, my mom, hate to say it, can be quite snappy and aggressive and has tested other's patience in plenty a business transaction. Tim, however, never raised his voice, never got annoyed, and throughout the conversation calmly and thoroughly explained each item in the report and addressed each and every concern that she had, which unfortunately as I've seen is not a trait everyone has. Will note of course that Tim did an excellent job at the home inspection being very detail oriented throughout. He also took the time to explain everything to me during the inspection. It made me feel better to have someone as knowledgeable and pleasant as Tim to do my inspection and to help put me at ease. Not to beat a dead horse, but want to say again that Tim's patience, calm demeanor, and willingness to accommodate the concerns of others is an invaluable trait and one that every home inspector should have.

Merillee was on top of scheduling and coordinating with the builders, which was incredibly helpful. I found Todd's pre-drywall and pre-closing inspection reports to be detailed and comprehensive. Both reports were turned around very quickly - within 24 hours if I recall correctly. They identified a number of issues, both cosmetic and structural, which allowed us to go back to the contractor to make the fixes. Home buying is a stressful process, so it was nice to work with a company that we felt like was working in our best interests. I'd gladly work with them again in the future!

Also highlighting Jason's ability to easily explain home maintenance solutions, and other functional intricacies during the walk through. We were told the project would take about 3 weeks. Being frustrated, and disappointed, we asked, if there would be any compensation. He worked with me to coordinate with the Tenant on when he could visit. Jay or his office always responded within 24 hours to my calls and texts. Another reason I would recommend Jay is for his true professionalism. After someone was injured on the job, he actually called me to apologize they couldn't do the work and offered to reschedule at any time that was convenient for me. How great is that!? It wasn't Jay's fault his employee was injured. Jay took it upon himself to make sure the job got done as fast as possible despite dealing with the accident. Accidents do happen, and when they do, all you can hope for is a reasonable professional to work with you and that's exactly what Jay did. They had to remove the existing slate tiles, replace most of the plywood around a curved dormer, and also resurface the ledge gutter. Jay prepared me in advance for any extra work that might be needed and took many pictures when the slate tiles were off so i could see what was needed. The new work looked terrific when completed as a result of certain finishes that Jay suggested at no extra cost. His crew was very respectful of my tenants and maintained the grounds of the property throughout the job. I believe the pricing for the work gave me an excellent value and that Jay is a fair-minded and competent roofer. I used Jay for two other jobs before this one and I continue to be very satisfied. .
