Best fast food fries ever! We had excellent service. Congratulations to the manager. This is how to run a successful team! read more

The menu is extremely limited! Walked in to a set of kiosk that you order from, not longer a person, but a very friendly older man coming by to assist those who were lost at the idea of ordering like this. The older man could have been hired to take orders so not sure the logic in this idea. They definitely should have removed the chili spaghetti when they limited the menu. Also after this experience just stick to shakes & add protein shakes. Burger are not worth it. Even the steak burger looked like a skinny burger. Thankfully there weren't robots making our food in the back. One man on the grill, one fryer guy, in training putting the orders together & a lady manager at the window. Total of 4 employees doing their best. I am very disappointed at this Steak n Shake franchise & corporation itself. I know this is not Las Vegas, but every franchise should equal each other. Quality of food, menu, staff & service, not at this franchise. Ours in Vegas has not changed, however I will not be back here anytime soon. Maybe it's difficult to find employees or maybe cutting back for profit, but this was a waste of $16, time & quality of food I just put in my body. We ordered a Frisco Burger & a single cheese burger w/ onion. The Frisco didn't come w/ sauce, but they were in training so ok. The older man got it fixed asap. Nothing like before & they no longer have baked beans. My cheeseburger was the thinnest patty, like a kids meal. The onion was bigger than the patty. The Strawberry Shake was the only good part. read more

make you pay extra for something they won't give you... ordered extra cookie dough on my milkshake paid for the extra... didn't get a single piece of cookie dough. then went to go ask for another one cause I PAID FOR THAT and everyone is in a bad mood. if you're in a bad mood at work that's not my problem just give me my food. not to say they all bring a bad vibe to the restaurant. read more

great place to eat with friendly service always willing to help an check on use. spencer was the best took great care of use. We order our a milk shakes at the same time a didn't have a problem holding out on making them till we where done eatin. I'll always call it beef an wiggle read more

New service system, no table service instead several kiosk near near the front door. The kiosk was very simple and straight forward. It provided the ability to add or remove toppings and condiments When your order is ready, they call your number and bring it to the table read more

Good food for a reasonable price! Sorry they don't still have baked beans like they used to. We came in on 12/09/23 and there was no one there......we were skeptical but within 10 minutes the place was packed. Monica, one of the managers, was friendly and had a smile even with such a deluge of customers....and she was working right along side the other staff, not hiding in an office. Jane, the other manager, was cooking the burgers....neither let the grass grow under their feet....lastly i don't know his name but the man who was keeping up with the milkshakes was pretty phenomenal. Upper management is lucky to have such pleasant, hard working individuals! read more

Fast and Polite! Asked if we needed and thing else and she offered us salt and ketchup without even asking. Food was very fresh and fries were warm. read more

They have changed so that they no longer have anyone to wait on ypu. You have to place your order on a computer, and then someone bring it out to your table. You are responsibile for getting your drinks, ketchup, etc. Burger was dry, meat smashed paper-thin. Fries wete cold but probably because it was freezing inside the diningroom. We won't be back! read more

Gross The chili is on spaghetti which is gross The fries are tiny and raw Burger was tiny Won't ever go again read more

25 minutes in drive thru for a cold burger and fries, no napkins. WTF. Vending machine would of been better than this.

Best steak and shake and super speedy service! Got so many extra pickles on my burger when I asked for them!!

Self service kiosk model facility. Indoor temperature was warm. Moderately clean appearance. Food quality was average. Portion size was smaller than former item previously ordered in past. Price was increased, shrinkflation. Milkshake no longer includes the metal mixing cup along with the poured shake. Depressing as I used to enjoy sitting at the counter watching staff cook and eat quality meal for reasonable price. read more

My goodness we have been sitting here for an hour for food. Haven't even got our shakes yet and it's been an hour. The waitress is very rude and one of our friends changed their order when she was taking them up and she rolled her eyes and was very rude. There are several of us and I doubt I will ever come back to this place. read more

Steak ’n Shake - Awful. We were in here before almost everyone. - Burgers Near Me - Richmond, Kentucky

Waited 10 minutes behind one car at the drive through. They finally took their order, and I was told they would be with me in just a moment. 10 minutes later, and I still had not ordered. Took my business across the street. There were only 2 cars in the drive through! I usually do not complain. I just take my business elsewhere. However, there was an employee standing at the back door beside the drive through menu and smoking the entire time I sat in the line...about 20+ minutes. Then as I gave up and left, another employee was walking to the Circle K convenience store across the street. I know everyone deserves a break, but not when one car is taken through the drive through at a rate of every 10-20 minutes. There was just one car in front of me, and it was at the pickup window when I left without my order taken. There may be a good reason for this. They may have been short staffed or had some issues inside that I was unaware of. I will consider that, but it looked really bad. I wonder if the girl taking orders at the drive through was also the cook, waitress, and cashier while her coworkers smoked and went across the street. This was not fair to her or to the customers. The manager should be aware that perception is reality to many people, and when we get frustrated, we often draw our own conclusions. read more

Steak 'n' Shake is what McDonald's/Burger King/etc. could be if they tried and were awesome. And this is one of the better locations I've been to. Normally, I get a burger and/or a milkshake. This time, I was passing through on a road trip and wanted breakfast. So I grabbed one of their skillets and was actually really impressed. It was far more flavorful than the skillets I typically find at restaurants and was definitely filling. Service was decent, and I can't really complain about anything. I'd happily stop here again if I'm every passing through. read more

Stuck in drive thru over ten minutes because speaker was broken. Instead of having someone take order they had everyone ordering from window. It was pretty sad. Good manager would have one of the workers smoking out back take people's orders . Was bad. Have to say I improved because they are so much faster now! Really a good job improving. Great morning milkshakes . read more

I ordered a dbl chz, no tomato, no mayo. It was correct (I didn't get onion, maybe normal), but I also ordered another dbl chz for my gf with Everything. We get home, the receipt read, Classic Dress, ketchup, mayo, mustard. What happened there??? Rest of the order was correct, but she was disappointed. read more

Talk about some staff that seem to hate their jobs! The service at this place just sucked. Rude employees who rolled their eyes and didn't even appreciate it when I kept saying thank you, and please. As for the food; I order a fresco melt and it looked like someone threw up some cheese and meat and the put it between two slices of bread. But at least the birthday cake shake that I ordered didn't seem too bad. I'll just stick to the lexington location for now on. read more

Good food, the milkshakes are out of this world. The steakburgers are hot and juicy. Service can be spotty though. Sometimes it is fast, other times it is slow. I prefer this one over the one in Lexington because it is usually faster. read more

Steak ’n Shake - Steak'n Shake - Burgers Near Me - Richmond, Kentucky

Hit the drive thru for burgers, fries, onion rings and drinks. Food and service were excellent. We will return when in Richmond.

Worst place I have ever been to. I NEVER leave reviews but I am very angry about this place. I used to come here all the time but when it opened after Covid, it changed. You order at a kiosk. The staff is not helpful at all. My fries came out COLD as if they had been sitting out for an hour. My milkshake took another 10 minutes after my food came out. The place is disgusting and sticky and downright disappointing. Do not go here. I will not be back. read more

Open 24 hrs BUT closed drive thru because "they couldn't keep up". Dine in open so walked in and stood there for 10 minutes and no one greeted or offered to seat me. Finally ordered my to go order and found out they were out on onion rings, LETTUCE!!, and pickles. Supposedly concert that night had them swamped but how are you open 24/7 and not be prepared for a high volume night?? Won't be back. read more

Very good food at very good prices. Love it everytime I go. Looking forward to my next meal.

This is my favorite spot in town! Fast, friendly service. Really like the change with the ordering kiosk, makes everything go much quicker. Super loved getting my Shake in the glass Shake cup, gives the place a real diner experience with a twist. read more

This was honestly the worst experience I've had with a Steak'n Shake. Its not a quality sit down restaurant and its no longer fast food. First found out they no longer do side by side milk shakes, okay I'll get over that. So then I go for the $4 double steak burger with small milk shake. Another promotion was to have free fries so that would save a dollar at the drive through, so I ordered a second small milk shake so I could have one chocolate and one strawberry aka my side by side. Well I waited in this drive through for over 20 minutes which made a long road trip so much longer. Then the small milk shakes were in little Styrofoam cups that were so small I could only assume they were actually for kids or water. If it couldn't get worse it did, no fries and I was not going to wait for them. Again already been over 20 minutes. Well the burger was just sloppy and thrown together. Surprisingly there was a side of cheese sauce in my bag, what for I do not know since I had no fries lol. I will be reluctant to stop at another Steak'n Shake on the road again, but definitely will never stop at this one again. No real customer service and just felt completely ripped off with complete waste of my time. read more

I've been back here a few times after having a bad experience. The staff now seem friendlier and your food is hot and fresh. The only thing I think they could improve on is more waiters/waitresses. Sometimes it seems like they're hurrying. They need a tad smaller ratio per waiters. read more

This is the absolute slowest drive thru I've ever been to. The location in Lexington is always much faster. No reason for this one to be this slow. Always wait over 30 minutes here. read more

Their food is decent, it tastes just like any other Steak n' Shake. The service here is GARBAGE. Probably would have waited in Drive thru for 30 minutes or more if I was dumb enough to sit there. Of course, the people in front of me were stupid enough to sit there for 15 minutes with nobody taking their order. I couldn't get out because of how the cars were so I had to stupidly sit there with them. I've eaten there earlier in the day and they usually have more people during the day shift. Either way, don't go here after like 1 AM unless you want to wait until Christmas to get your food. read more

So basically we came in and order on those mechanics and it was going smoothly and then the machine quit working as we were putting money in it but luckily we only had put a dollar in then this lady come over and took our order she was nice but they called our order and it was in bags and we said that we ordered in and we asked the manager about and he said yeah that's you're food we just put in bags bc the mechan broke and that's what it said so we got it and all the food was cooled plus all of the orders were wrong besides one and it was cold as heck and the onion rings that we got was not cooked and hard and we got some fries and we all got cheese drys besides one and we got large fries too and they were all different sizes and the buggers we all wrong besides the one ofc and after we told the manager he said yeah you guys got the wrong order and he was all rude about it too and if he said yeah we made a mistake sorry about that guys I would have been fine and understanding and we've been waiting on the 2 burgers for over an hour and it really isnt busy at all there is only like 2 small families here and there all gotten their food and we've had to tell them 3 times about it it really just has gone down hill sadly but I finally got my burger and it was decent I'm glad it was hot but for me I will not be returning sadly read more

Just go somewhere else. Not worth the wait. Ordered online, thinking i'd bypass the wait, well boy was i wrong. They acknowledged my presence and order upon arrival, but after approaching the counter after a 20 minute wait, they then got over the headset to announce "web order is here." Lady, I've been here. I can be a bit of a "Karen", but come on, It took an hour from order placed, to picked up. read more

If you plan to eat at steak n shake and choose drive thru be ready to waste your 1 hour to get your order.

i eat at steak 'n shake constantly, it's my comfort food. i always get the same thing, the price is never the same. even when i order extra bbq sauce they do not put it in the bag, i always ask for extra and when i get to the window i always ask if it's in the bag, it never it. it's just super super frustrating because i love steak 'n shake and i've eaten there for years, at least 3 times a month for 4 years. and the past few months have been awful. the food always tastes amazing even if i have to go through the drive thru twice to make sure i got all my fries and sauces read more
