Stopped in yesterday for a business lunch. Hadn't been to Outback in several years. Our waitress was very attentive and kept checking on us throughout our meal. We had the bread to start, always good. For lunch, I had the Shrimp on the Barbie and a Side Salad. The shrimp was well seasoned and tender. The salad was chilled and fresh. My co-worker had the Alice Springs Chicken. He said it was his go to meal here. Cost for two people with tip was $30ish. Great value for the quality of the food. read more

Hadn't eaten at Outback in some time and decided to stop in. My wife and I both got salads, sweet potatoes and steaks; she got the 6oz and I got the 11oz. The salads had a weird taste to them and we only ate half. The sweet potatoes were in the smaller side and they were a little skimpy on the butter and cinnamon. But the worst offend were the steaks. I order mine medium rare and they flash fried it and it had a 1/4" of shoe leather around it and my said her's was much better. Also I ordered a Coke Zero and they tried to wiggle in Diet Coke and then told me they were out of Coke Zero. I'm super glad we had a gift card or I would've been really upset. We went to Baskin Robbin's afterward and decided we should have just ate dinner there. read more

We don't live in Richmond, but decided to hop over for an early evening Valentine's Day date. The manager made sure to come over and check on us and wish us a happy Valentine's Day! They had several decorations and even a Photo Booth. The apps came out quickly and the drinks were excellent. The food came out super quick as well. The steaks were perfectly cooked. I'm a caregiver for a client who is not only in a motorized wheelchair, he has to be fed. The staff was most accommodating and helped us to a table where we would be comfortable. The food was amazingly good. Our server is a gem. She made my client laugh and he enjoyed his lunch very much because of her. We have had good experiences with outback in the restaurant and for pick up, but tonight was a definite exception. We ordered and paid and got there before the order could even possibly be ready. Yet the food was cold and overcooked and soggy. The salad greens were not crisp. The entire experience was a huge disappointment and for over $40 for two burgers and some Aussie fries which were soggy is just not acceptable. Service was decent but confusing, had multiple people coming to the table. asked a server who told us that she was our server and all of the others were server assistants. Blooming onion was same as always, good but greasy. Wedge salad was really good. Sirlion and coconut were good, both cooked perfectly. Hamburger was very disappointing, Not even in the the ballpark for the price. Condiments were either missing or not good. Lettuce was extremly small and wilted. Onions were chopped, most fell off. We just moved to town and wanted a place that everyone would be ok with. We called to be put on the list and spoke to a super sweet lady. When we came in, she was like ahhhhh yes I just spoke with y'all! You're set up and ready! Everyone was so sweet and accommodating, very sweet to my kids. Then our waitress was on top of everything. Not just good at her job, truly a warm & welcoming soul. So we've been back a second time before I could get this posted. We had the same waitress, Lindsay. She truly is an amazing asset for this place! The manager is very friendly and checking on everyone. I didn't catch her name. But really seems to be a great dynamic of staff. I've read lots hit or miss reviews on the food but ours was great both times. Both times, the dining room was clean. Parking lot was tidy. My 8 month old swept at a plate on our second visit... yup, shattered. They were so sweet to us and thorough in their clean up while we were completely mortified. They were very friendly to all of our kids. Due to this staff & the positive interactions we have now had, I think it's safe to say we will be back, probably more than we should. read more

Our trip to Outback was around 430pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon and wasn't very busy. So we enjoyed (mostly) piping hot food (my sons first bowl of potato soup wasn't very warm) and very attentive service. My wife got the special Tampawoona (something like that‍) Salmon and it was super yummy. My son got the sampler appetizer and a bowl of the aforementioned potato soup. His blooming onions he didn't care for as they seemed overcooked, but was otherwise happy. I did the booming onion ribs and a loaded blooming onion and finished half of both. Both were good, just a lot of food. So all in all it was an Outback experience that their corporate office would approve of. It was t a small mom and pop with delicious recipes that wow and amaze, but that's not where we chose to have dinner tonight. If you like Outback and what they have to offer, this Outback seems to do things right. 4 stars. read more

I've been to quite a few Outback Steakhouses over the years and this one was just OK. the food wasn't anything special, in fact I think Outback has gone downhill in general over the years in terms of flavor and ingenuity. I ordered my steak medium and it came out medium rare to rare. I had to send it back and have it redone. When it came out they brought another potato when I'd already finished my first one. Speaking of the potato, it was so bland. I ordered it loaded and didn't taste any flavor at all. I ordered a mule and was surprised by the nasty wilted milt and the soft worn out blueberries. I'm guessing this place just doesn't get enough business anymore to keep fresh ingredients. My service was very good and the manager who brought the steak properly cooked was also professional. On another note, I don't know why they chose to put families with children inside the bar seating area. Why would you not save this for people who may want to drink alcohol, especially on a Friday night? read more

So to start we went there about 4pm on a Wednesday, they weren't busy at all. Maybe like 5 tables including ours. We sat down and easily waited 10-15 minutes just for our waiter to talk to us. Didn't get drinks for another 10 after we ordered them. The food came out decently fast, normal wait time for food and the food actually was really well. Portion sizes were good and food was really really good but the staff was terrible. The entire time we was there our waiter was gone for like 90% if the time. I never received a refill and my gf only had gotten 1 refill and even that took a while. We had asked for a refill and he took 10 minutes to bring it out, mind you at this time we were the only table in his section. Then when he came back we asked for honey mustard and he said sure and said he would be right back and he never came back with the honey mustard. We ordered delivery. It cost $131 including tip and delivery charges. Where do I even begin? I ordered Alice Springs chicken. My chicken was so over cooked it would barely cut. I ordered the creamed spinach as a side and french onion soup. The crouton on my soup was literally a hambruger bun with cheese melted on it...the spinach was edible but i did not love it. My partner ordered filet mignon. It was also extremely over cooked, could not hardly be cut even with a steak knife. My daughter got a petite steak...same deal. Very dry and overcooked. For desert we got 2 chocolate thunders and a carrot cake. The chocolate thunder was pretty good but the carrot cake was NOT good. It tasted molded. For $131 this was a barely edible meal. Ate here on 21 December 2019. We ordered the blooming onion, Kings Island pasta with shrimp and steak, side salad, and kids cheeseburger. We all had water. The blooming onion was cooked too high and the outside was done but the inside could have used a little longer. The onion also needed a deeper cut. The pasta was really good and had an awesome flavor. The steak was a little under cooked for my liking. My wife wanted a steak salad so we shared the pasta and she had the side salad; took some of my pasta steak and put on the salad. This was enough food for both of us. If a Wendy's 4/4 is filling you could share this meal and still be full. The restaurant was clean and appealing. The staff were clean and accommodating. Our server was ok but he let our drinks run dry and he forgot to bring out the bread after we told him we didn't want it until our meal. The service was fast but the restaurant wasn't overly busy. My daughter said to make sure that I put that she had the boomerang cheeseburger and it was excellent. We came in and we're seated promptly. However, many workers standing around- 3 up front- and waited about 10-15 minutes for a waiter to come to the table. No one showed up but we saw two waiters walk by serving tables across the room and another woman cleaning a table. We set an alarm just to give them an appropriate amount of time. So we left. This is why we rarely come to this Outback- there will be less than 10 tables and people seemingly walking around aimlessly but customers are waiting to be served. An extremely disappointing meal. We both ordered a steakhouse salad with medium rare steak. We got a very disappointing salad that looking nothing like the one on the menu with very overdone steak. We showed the picture on the menu to our server and explained that this is not what we ordered. She took it back to make us a new one, which looked exactly the same but with the steak cooked correctly this time. The manager came by and did not apologize or offer anything for the terrible meal.
