First off i would like to say that i downloaded the app just so i could write this review. We arrived at this location and it was not a particularly busy day. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and ordered our food and shakes shortly after sitting. A half hour went by without seeing our waitress again. After about 35 minutes our shakes finally came out. Shortly after receiving our shakes, another patron went up to ask about his food as they had been waiting for 45 minutes now. We finally received our food after about an hour. That being said, the food and shakes were delicious. It is just ridiculous the amount of time we had to wait for our food. read more

If there was zero rating I would choose a zero. We sat waiting to order food for 30 minutes after waiting 15 minutes to sit. Two waiters kept walking around refilling customer drinks. When they took the order of a group whom obtained their table 5 minutes after us, we had to leave. I told both the the waiters all that they could say was that they were sorry. If I could give this negative stars I would. I went in with a party of 7. And despite the fact that there were only three other tables and three servers the service was absolutely horrible. After being seated we waited 15 minutes to just order WATER! And the waitress only came over when I started to get up to find a manager. Then once we ordered the water it took another 15 minutes to get the water, and 30 minutes to get the food and shakes. Needless to say we will never be back! read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!! We had went through the drive thru one night, I ordered a Royale Burger and asked for the egg to be a little more raw because sometimes I get it and it's over cooked. I guess they thought it was funny to put an actual RAW, and CRACKED egg in a separate container, and then proceed to not put an actual egg on my burger. Not a funny prank to play on a customer. I had a good experience here. There were none of the previously reviewed issues. Food came out promptly & it was a packed house.

We came in here last night. Once we sat down we waited over ten minutes to be greeted and have our drink order taken. Once we gave our dinner order it took over 20 mins for kids meals to arrive and a simple salad. Food wasn't great and the server said some things that I found very offensive as a special needs mother and I am very thick skinned. Tables were not cleaned off and staff looked very unhappy to be there. read more

It had been fine. I work late nights and stopped through there frequently for food. In last couple days they've either not been either open or totally ignoring the drive thru at 1:30-2am. No sign, no response, lights fully on. Totally unprofessional. Either you're open 24 hours or you're not, but it is extremely rude to not make it apparent one way or the other. The only reason I have this at a one star rating is because yelp won't let me give any less. Got here at 11:50pm and didn't get our waters until 12:20. (This was the last time our server came back to our table to check on us.) after we ordered we waited on our food and milkshakes until 1am and the milkshakes were wrong. We never get our food and waited until 1:30. One table next to us asked when they would get their food and the waitress said there's a long line ahead of you. They were the only other table eating in the reatraunt and 3 cars in the drive through. Also the other table waited for 1 hour and didn't even get their waters. Workers attitudes are horrible, food isn't good. The shakes were disgusting and not up to par with the steak and shake supposed reputation with their shakes. I ordered the birthday cake shake and the lady at the front described it as being the best with cake pieces and stated the guy in the back was going to be upset cause he'd have to cut the cake and when I got my shake there was NO cake and it was literally just vanilla ice cream. Horrible!! Never have enough staff, the floor is ALWAYS sticky and it takes forever to get your order regardless of drive thru or dining in. Have gone to eat there and ended up leaving because I never got seated or pulled out of the drive thru after waiting 15+ minutes more often than I've actually eaten there. It's almost like there is no management. It's a disgrace to the franchise. Steak n' shake in Acworth sucked tonight (Sunday May 22nd 2016 around 930-10pm). -slow service -cold food -didn't take down complete order so I didn't get my complete order -brought milkshake after half my meal was gone {which I feel should have been in a to go cup since I was almost done eating and ready to go, or atleast had the offer to have it put in a to go cup} -didn't check on us and ask how everything was, or if we needed anything else Just horrible service tonight. Not well managed at all seeing how there were only two waitresses working the floor and only one was seating and taking orders while the other served the food. There were two managers working who as we finished and was paying our bill come out of the office/and out from behind the cash register and began seating people, taking drink orders and busing tables instead of running the cash register. So then one of the two cooks (that I could see) had to be my cashier. This isn't the first time I've been to this Steak n' shake or other Steak n' shakes, and I'm used to long waits to be seated, have order taken and even to get my order but this time was just the worst. There's no excuse for not taking my whole order down or for bring out cold food that can't even melt the cheese that should be melted on it. Oh and let's not forget the chili on the chili dog had just a few beans in it and shouldn't have been considered a chili dog. Plus the dog was rubbery, beef jerky is less tough than the dog was. This was the second steak and shake I tried. When we got here we were seated after only two minutes. All right. Then the server disappears for 10 minutes. Comes back with a headset on, he is also running the drive thru. Gets our drink and food order and disappears again for 15 minutes. The other two only tables with people at them have no food or drink either. We tell him to cancel it and we leave. My five year old cries all the way to the next restaurant. I recently had a terrible experience at this restaurant on Barrett Pwky in Kennesaw Ga on 4-25-20. After waiting in line for 15 minutes to get up to the speaker I wasn't greeted by anyone for over 5 minutes over the intercom. I decided to pull forward and wait until I could get to the window to place my order for 1 milkshake for my wife who recently got out of surgery. At the window I was greeted by a shift manager by the name Javon. I told him I had waited at the speaker but didn't get a response. He began to tell me how he's doing other things and that I should've waited longer for a response. I informed him all I needed was a milkshake and he said that I needed to place this order at the Intercom and that I needed to pull back around to wait in line again to get that. When I asked to speak to a manager he informed me that was him but there was nothing he could do to serve me. I have always been a very loyal customer with this business and am very displeased in his attitude and the way he represents this company. In very uncertain times I'm trying to do my part to take care of small businesses and support everyone that I feel has done right by their customers, this is not the case with Javon. I will never support this business again and will make sure to tell everyone I know not to do business with Steak N Shake. This was very unprofessional from Javon and also a company that hires and promotes people of his caliber. read more

I usually am the one that can find something positive in anything and I have normally received pretty decent service at this location, however tonight was one of the worst food/service experiences thus far. First thing we were sat at a table that had not been wiped down, there were still crumbs and cup stains all over the table. Second our waitress had come by to take our order and then came back by shortly after to retake our order and write it down because I guess she forgot. Next our subpar food (soggy fries) came, however I had call them back over because they forgot my husband's chilli. They bring over our chilli begin to leave and we had to call them back to let them know they forgot the crackers that were supposed to come with it. The chilli unfortunately was awful, and it's usually one of my husband's favorites I gave up on receiving silverware and just went and retrieved it myself. To top everything off even after writing down our order I never received my milkshake, but I never bothered bringing it up, because I was just thankful I wasn't charged and left as quickly as we could! This place needs to shut down. The SLOWEST service (drive-thru experience). We ordered a 2 mini steak burger kids meal. We received a double stack cheese burger and the bun was HARD AS A ROCK. My wife and I went back for an annual test to see if this sad outpost of a formerly great American burger chain has gotten any better since my previous visit nine months ago. Sadly, it has not. We ordered two simple meals - a steak burger with fries and a spicy chicken sandwich with onion rings. They came out with the sides mixed - the server had it correct on the ticket, so the cook messed up. Then, I had to remove the tomato on my sandwich as inedible. A food critic once complained about restaurant tomato quality, calling them pink cotton. My tomato wouldn't even aspire to that low level. It was more like white wool. I shared a photo I took of it. Keep in mind that this is mid-Spring in Atlanta. Local grocery store tomatoes are much, much better. Bean counter collateral damage? The fries were barely warm. This was while the place had maybe five tables busy at dinner time. I noticed that their old slogan "In Sight, It Must Be Right", isn't posted any more. The quality has suffered considerably since the old days. Perhaps I'll try them again in 2016. While there, I overheard a server tell another table that they were out of the pepper jack cheese while a poor grandpa there with a hungry, antsy three year old finally had words with the server, having been seated and ordered before we got there, but not served until after we ate. Pathetic. Executive management should think about getting the menu back to basics, train the staff and focus on getting employees to do their jobs right. Fifty milkshakes and twenty types of poorly prepared and misassembled burgers don't compare to the old school limited menu, properly prepared. read more

Wow is all i can say. A group of severs and i went here for a night milkshake but left in shock after our whole experience. Our server Alexis greated our table with terrible attitude telling us "remember what you ordered because I'm not going to put it in the system in any particular way or splitting it". She did end up splitting the checks but still had attitude for the whole time, crazy when she was working for tips. Anyways, drinks were never refilled, napkins and sliver ware were never brought but whatever. While one of my friends was drinking her milkshake she found a big piece of plastic in the shake. Someone from our table walked up and told the manager but he never came over to fix the situation or apologize. When we walked up to check out, we wanted to speak to the manager to find out what the piece of trash was. Manager Justin came over after Alexis told us the drive thru was more of a priority than us literally finding TRASH in the shake (no exaggeration, she literally told us that). He said he was the one who made the shakes and that the trash seemed to be from the crayon box... he did Comp her meal but didn't really seem apologetic. Kind of scares me if Justin the manager is the one training people on how to makes shakes if he can't even examine the glasses enough to see trash in it. I'm writing this not because i want anything but to warn parents to examine their kids shake due to the fact that it obviously didn't shock him that there was trash in the cup and that others will probably overlook this easy chocking hazard.
