It's a Five Guys. I like Five Guys. This location is close and easy to get to for me. It is in a shopping center on Hwy 41. Plenty of parking. The place is bright and clean. The staff is friendly and "on the ball." My order has always been correct and served hot. I enjoy their large list of toppings that you can add to your burger. Prior to this visit one of my husband's favorite burger places was Five Guys. Tonight we walked up to the counter & both of our eyes widen when we saw the new higher prices on the board. Our order was called. Hubby returned to the table & proceeded to unloaded each of the burgers from the bag. He was shocked at the next discovery. Seems they no longer give you a bountiful serving of fries. This was officially the last straw or should I say the fry that broke the camel's back for us. We have accepted that restaurants costs have increased & they have to "pass it along," but this one set both of us off & will likely cost the business 2 loyal customer as a result. This is a great Five Guys. Have been here several times, and it's consistently good. But the prices have gotten out of control. Took a friend that did me a favor here for lunch last week. We each got a cheeseburger, shared a small fry, and I got a small drink (he got a glass of water - free). It was $35. So two burgers, small fry and a small soft drink for $35. That's ridiculous. I know prices are rising everywhere, and these individual franchises don't dictate prices, but that's simply insane. It's expensive, but it's otherwise terrific. It's a good Five Guys. If you know the chain, you know what to expect: menu items consist of hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled cheese, and fries. Throw on a list of all kinds of toppings, and you've pretty much exhausted the menu. I went for lunch on a weekday. The staff were friendly; the restaurant was clean. They have Coke Freestyle, which is a plus for me. Bathrooms were clean. It is expensive. I got fries and two sandwiches (and a drink), and my bill was just shy of $20. Almost $3 for a drink makes you want to get your money's worth. They were playing good music, too: I got to hear Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Guns & Roses during my lunch. Hopefully you like classic rock. Great burgers, great staff, not-so-great price. Managers will go out of their way to make you a regular and I love that it's something every restaurant needs. My family and I have frequented this location for years. In the past, the food has always been consistently fresh and hot. My wife and I stopped in two days ago to pick up double bacon cheeseburgers and an order of fries. My wife has celiac disease and she is always impressed with the care they take to prepare her order without gluten contamination. When we arrived there was one family eating in the restaurant and another person waiting for their order. There were at least 7 employees behind the counter. We placed our order and stood at a tall table waiting our food. They called out our number and gave us two bags containing our order. We started driving home and my wife opened the bag containing the fries. I grabbed a few fries and was shocked. The fries were limp and tasted like they had been sitting in the basket and were refried to heat them up (absolutely Gross). When you pay $36 ( including a tip) for 2 double bacon cheeseburgers and a regular order of fries, you expect top quality cooked to order food. I will not be back at this burger joint and suggest all of you consider other options for a good cheeseburger. read more

A double cheeseburger with toppings, a hot dog, one regular fries and one medium sprite came out to over $28! And they have the audacity to not only have a conspicuous tip jar right in front of you at the counter but if you pay by card you're hit up for a tip there too. I felt like I was at a Braves game! Yes the fries are delicious but they're becoming stingy with the amount. And though delicious, my burger was a greasy mess. At least my kid liked his hot dog but overall I felt robbed. I always considered this place a "once in a while" meal due to the unhealthiness (deliciousness) of the food, but I refuse to be overcharged like this in the future. Asked for a bacon burger with no cheese .I expressed no cheese with the order! Of course it came with cheese . Went up to the counter to get a freshly cooked hamburger / fries and the gentleman said I'll see about the fries in a sarcastic tone . I like to eat both items together ( the fries were actually not hot ) . The Manager got involved and accused me of being rude and so I asked for refund . The burgers are made to order fresh. They do cost 2x as much as everywhere else but do taste good. Pro-Tip: always order a small fry unless you have a group of 12, they will give you a small fry and then dump a large into the bag. They do offer real sweet tea! The complementary peanuts are a nice touch. read more

Five Guys is a great place to take the kids. The prices are fair; the food is ALWAYS fresh; and the service is great!! They have little burgers, regular burgers, and hot dogs. I would have to agree with Jeremy's review. I had heard a lot of great things about this place before I tried it. Afterwards, I left thinking that I had just paid a fair sum of money for something that would have cost me about $3 to make at home. The burgers taste like and look like something that you can get a pound of ground beef and make at home and they would probably be much tastier and a lot juicier. I had high hopes for this place considering the sign even boasts "famous" almost like Famous Dave's BBQ, oddly enough, Five Guys was the same disappointment. Attention parents: unless there is a golden arch on the front door or a dancing mouse, watch your kids! There was a Birthday party of 12 going on in the corner, a table of 6 young girls screaming with every breath and 2 women breast feeding in the corner. None of the "Mothers" seemed phased any of this was happening. I was mortified. Within 10 minutes our burgers were delivered. Thankfully we got a regular fry as there were literally enough fries to feed the bastard kids running around too. I got a double burger with cheese, "all the way" which means lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, onions and pickles. The burger was messy and hard to handle but then again, it was a double! It was good, not the best but def not the worst. The hamburger itself was over cooked and very greasy which is why I guess they throw on the toppings hoping to drown out the actual burger. Overall, I was extremely underwhelmed. This only proves the fact that the good burgers in Atlanta, like the good BBQ, are hidden gems. I am basing my stars on other fast food burger places...you have to compare apples to apples. Not a huge fan of their burgers...a little on the greasy side for me. I do like the fact that you get ANY topping for free, that is a big plus for me. But I don't go for the burgers...I go for the fries...the greasy, hand-cut, salty, spicy (I get Cajun), cholesterol-raising fries...a small order is enough for 4 people. That's it, plain and simple, it's all about the fries for me. Are they pommes frittes? Hell, no. but they are good ol' American French fries (!!). Jan 2015 - I was a Five Guys fan for years but that ceased in Dec 2014 (I had to bring this review over from Google as I forgot to post it to Yelp, sorry Yelpers!). Last week I had an issue with BurgerFi in Kennesaw, a BIG let down and that prompted us to give Five Guys in Acworth another try. I don't know if it's due to the holidays, staffing issues and the like, but the quality of the food served today was beyond sad. They switched their hot dog buns and served us a very large, stale roll. Bacon on the dawg? Small little chucks of what bacon should be? Really? The burgers have shrunk to a McDs size, and cooked until they're beyond recognition. They now have 3 sizes of fries and apparently, the medium fries are so small they don't even fill a 4oz water cup. That was probably for the best as they were mostly raw and dripping in grease. Hint: A fryer needs to be on to cook fries - that would be the little red light meaning the fryer is "on". This Five Guys is officially off my list of restaurants. I'm done. Dec 2014 - my once love of Five Guys is gone. I use to rant about Five Guys to anyone who would listen a few years ago as 4 of us could eat lunch for $25. That was the old days when covered wagons rolled across the plains... Wait a sec... that was actually in 2012. I swung buy earlier this month for a cheeseburger (2 patties), no fries, no drink, as I was in the middle of a yard work run to Home Depot. I handed the cashier $6 and was told, that's not enough. HUH? My bill with tax for a cheeseburger was almost $7! I'm going to give Wendy's another try when I want a fast cheeseburger. Goodbye Five Guys, it was a good run we had. I may stop in at the asking of one of my kids, but beyond that, when I feel like paying $7 for a cheeseburger I'll drag my kids to Burger Fi in downtown Kennesaw as I can wash down the price with a cold draft beer. read more

A decent burger place with toppings ordered a-la-cart style. They have 2 sizes, Regular and Little. Little is a handful and regular is basically 2 Little patties and is a beast. Regular costs about $5-6 and Little costs $4-5. Fries and drink are separate and can bring your total to about $10-11 for an order. TONS of fries are given when ordering the regular size and can be easily shared with 2 people. I would suggest getting the Cajun flavored fries. All in all not a bad place. The patties are fresh and made to order. Tastes home made and can be recreated at home. I would go here as a last resort if choosing places to eat because of the price. You can have better, but at least try them. read more

5 guys has pretty standard burgers like the critics have pointed out, but I think they're fair and the prices are pretty low.
